Thank's for the understanding although it's way worse on my wife. Anyway I just really want her to enjoy herself so maby we could make it an anual event. Then who knows one year she'll be bringing her 15 year old while grandpa and grandma are yucking it up on route 66. I have watched the
DCL video and So has Gabby "my daughter" and she did think some of it was cool so I guess we'll see. I just thought it would be a real icebreaker if Gabby could talk to some other teens that would be cruising at the same time that have cruised before. Then again if she knew I was on this board she would probabbly never talk to me again..LOL

We will be there also, DISFANS3 From SW MO. Second DCL for us .. Going to WDW for one week then off to the WONDER for a great Cruise.. Hope the weather holds out..... Time to pack the bags... We do have a long drive from MO..... Raddison sat night before cruise for us.....

Lzj - If we end up flying down we will go into Titusville airport. It is just a couple of miles from the port. I have two partners in my plane and with the damage done with the hurricanes we use our plane as relief support. We fly health care workers and others down to the damaged areas so if it is still a mess my partners will probably use the plane to help and me and izzy will drive down. I will make that desician closer to the cruise. But hey, only 26 more days !!!

HERE I AM !!!! at last !!!!!!!!!!! After we had taken the new PC at home Marco discovered they put a WRONG monitor in the correct monitor box !! We had to go back to the shop ...it was late Saturday afternoon ... they were SOOOOO SORRY , but" you'll have to wait till Monday afternoon as we have to go get the "right" monitor !!!!"
On Monday evening we brought home this nice flat new monitor...and again we discovered they didn't install /open the new high speed Internetconnection nor the hardware/port for video ... in PC

At this time Marco left to Greece and I was in charge of going back / fight with the shop-keepers...
At times all I had at home was a cool wireless mouse !!! at times the new extra flat monitor would show me ... only swimming fishes !!!
AND the new PC speaks ITALIAN !!!!!! I had a very hard task, as I use to "think" of computer in English !!!!! Now everything has been translated into MY first language ... PC doesn't tell me anymore " Your files are up to date" but an Italian sentence the meaning of which is (literally)
" Your on line restrooms are clean now !"

Well, Marco got home yesterday night , did some "adjusting" on PC programs and now I hope I can be on line AGAIN !!!!!!!


HOW ARE YOU , Beckie ? We have been worried about you all !!! this HURRICANE season started soon indeed !

Sure I understand you ...and your wife !!! I'm a teacher , working every day AMONG TEENS !!!! They are soooo nice AND "complicate" !!!! AND just MARVELLOUS !!!!!!
In our previous cruises we always saw teens having a great time !!! All CMs are very good in entertainig them ... our friends HARDLY met their teen -D during the cruise (maybe at dinner, not much more !!!)

Maybe you could "suggest" your DD to post ( ON HER OWN !!!)...here on the DIS ... in search of friends same age ... who already cruised !!!
I know DCL even prints special NAVIGATORS for teens !!!!

She will have fun !! and you two as well !!!!!!!!!!

Laura, welcome back. So glad you got your computer up and running. My DH is the computer expert in this house. I'm lucky I know how to turn the darn thing on!!

The wood floors are in and they look fabulous. I love them so much. The living room and dining room are pretty much in order. Still some stuff to put away. The carpet was laid down the other day and the kids are back in their own rooms. We are feeling very relieved. There is still painting to be done and more carpet to be installed, but the important areas are complete. My office is next. Paint and carpet next week, I hope.

Oh Laura, I have not received any documents yet. I think maybe in another week they should be here. Who did you book your trip w/? Can you call and find out where or when your docs will arrive?

Hey Laura, thanks for the reply. My wife Maureen is a teacher also 7th grade Algebra. I'm sure we'll have a great time, Our DD travels with us alot, and her and I usually have a great time. My wife says it's because I operate at a 15 year old maturity level. LOL We booked the comfort suites for nassau to use the Atlantis water slides/pool. I wouldnt mind taking in the Pirate museum and ofcoarse the girls want to shop shop shop. Not sure how we are going to cram all this in and be back for the 6:00 PM show. We have the late dinner seating. Were on deck 7 in a cat 5 dont know the room number yet but I hear deck seven is nice and quiet. We booked to late to get a decent reservation at Palos, dont know how this happened since it seems the cruise isnt completely booked. Oh well we'll sneek a peek anyway.

The Hurricans are going to be crazy this season...To add to the insult the most current named Hurrican is EMILY my first name. When they assigned the name Terry said " Well where are you going Emily?" I said "I've always wanted to visit Mexico", then over the next few days the tracking of this new storm headed straight toward Mexico. While I wouldn't wish a storm on anyone, I'm just glad it hasn't taken a Bee-line to Florida. No damages here other then the torrential rain. When Tropical Storm Cindy came through my backyard flooded. I actually had water in my slidingdoor track then it stoped and the water receded (I just knew it was coming in) Call me lucky.

I have not received any documents either. Yesterday the Fed-X man came I was so excited I just knew it was the Doc's but no just a package for Terry, this morning another delivery from UPS I was Nope another package for Terry.

i haven't had the opportunity to fly down to fla to help anyone yet but i am scheduled to go down this weekend for an angel flight.

my dd and i just got our new clothes for her to use on the cruise. we are so excited. all we need now is our docs !!!

WE DO have our PROBLEMS here too !!!!

Done some shopping today : did I tell you I eventualy found my "elegant" sandals...$$$$ I had been looking for them LOOOONG !!!?
Not too high heels ... otherwise DGH would keep on saying : "you're going to fall down ! Be careful !!! Don't fall down !!!"

This morning (SALES season !!!) I was SMART enough to get Marco think he needs BEIGE SANDALS ... to go with his "tropical" attire !!!! and a bit later ... we had to purchase " his tropical attire " ... which will fit sooooooooooo nicely with those sandals !!!!!

We both still need to get hats with LARGE brims : I was willing to look for them at straw - market in Nassau ... but maybe we'll buy them at Festival bay shopping mall ... as we are going to need them at USO as well !!!
I also found a small back-pack - where I'm going to pack all items we'll need during OUR LONG day in Nassau !!!
And a nice small "semi -formal" shoulder bag / color : black ... for Palo or dress up night!

WOW !! I'm tired now ...shopping is tiring !!!!

Anyway we are going to ask for pier - pick up if our docs don't get here before we leave !!
AND we'll print those cruise documents from DCL site as well .

We are used to arrive at port ... without docs !!!!

ALL WE NEED is ...that we are recorded in DCL files, so we can enter their terminal !!!!

BUT I still hope our docs will arrive in a mannerly time !!!! Our TA checked that a specific request was in our file !!!! Fingers crossed !!!!
