WE GOT OUR DOCS !!!!!!


The "smiling" UPS man delivered our cruise documents here (in Italy) EARLY THIS MORNING,that is about 2AM your Eastern time !!!!

I'm REALLY EXCITED now !!!
Couldn't reach ... poor Grumpy hubby...so he is working hard and doesn't know the WONDERful news yet !!!!

YOUR docs will be there SOON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How does a WONDERful mini-DISmeet sound to you all ?

It would be great if we could start our cruise "HAVING FUN" all together !!!!


Usually (I'm reading Wonder Personal Navigator May 8th 2005) the first afternoon on board there is a mandatory BOAT DRILL at 4.00PM;
after that ... the FUN begins !!!!

From 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM the Personal Navigator you find in your stateroom usually lists the SAIL - AWAY CELEBRATION !!!!!!!

From our past cruises we saw everyone wants to be there ... at least until the ship leaves ...the dock !!!




WHAT DO YOU THINK about arranging our DISmeet during that cheerful celebration !!?!
We could meet "around" 4:15
on DECK 9 Midship
at the Goofy pool stage
(when you face the stage ... we could meet (let's say) on the RIGHT SIDE,
where there are comfy sheltered chairs )



I propose this because we already did so in our past cruises and found people could come and go as they please; BARS are very close,you can just stop by and say "Hallo" or ... enjoy the whole sail away party with your new DIS friends !!!!


OF COURSE any different SUGGESTION will be great !!!! Nina ? have you done something like this before ?
Comments , anyone ? OTHER IDEAS ???


I'll be happy if we can "arrange" a meet ... before we leave home; afterwards we'll not be able to keep in touch with you all any more !!!

NOTE that the "Goofy pool" will not be THERE anymore: it will be "covered" by the dancing floor !!!!

It has NOTHING to do with ... too many Bahama mama !!!!!!!!!!! Really the pool doesn't exist anymore !!!!

Laura, so glad to hear that you got your docs, now you can relax some before you head out. When do you arrive to begin your vacation?

And the dismeet sounds great. 4:15 on the right side of the covered up goofy pool!!! I better write this down and stick it in my vacation folder. By then I will be soooo ready for a Bahama Mama.

DD #2 and DS are all set with there vacation clothes. Dh went shopping w/ Ds and bought him too much stuff. He is all ready to go!!!

Hope we hear from the others about our dismeet, come on, don't be shy!!

Beckie, how exciting. I'm going to be on the lookout for UPS, FEDEX, anybody at all to bring me my docs. I do hope I get them soon, I need to fill in all of them for 6 people and get the one page notorized by DDs friends parents.

15 more days and we are off to DW. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

deck 9,covered Goofy pool,righthand side, as close to the stage as we can !!!

Maybe the scheduled time for SAIL AWAY PARTY is slightly modified : let us meet ... from the beginning of the SAIL AWAY party as scheduled on the Personal navigator we'll find in our stateroom !!!!


As Magic in MY heart pointed out ... we could also need a BACK UP PLAN ... last year, when we had to deal with Hurricane Charlie, the sail away celebration took place INSIDE,in the LOBBY ATRIUM:
bad weather on deck !!!!!!!!

What do you think ? we could just plan (as back up) that we will anyway meet ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE of whatever place /stage they are using for sail away celebration .

Can't wait to meet you all and ... start the fun !!!

Wanted to ask what are the names of your kids ... and friend.
And ... how is your house ? has your office been done yet ?

I'm starting to "gather" all the stuff we need for our trip ; I 'll pack ONLY 2 days before departure ... fingers crossed, we both have old parents / with health problems ...hope they will be fine !!!

We are leaving Italy on July 31st ... we'll be on the way to airport around 4.00 am !!!

Wherever the sail away is held, I will look for you all on the right hand side of that place, 4:15 PM.

Laura, I think we are all equally excited. Every night before the kids go to bed, one of them will tell me how many days are left till we leave. DD #2 has been watching her disney videos and gives me a run down on what we will do and when we will do it.

The kids names are Laura, Zach and Julie. Lauras' friend is Stacey. Stacey is really excited as she has never been to Disney World.

The house is coming along and I'm slowly getting things put away and organized. We still have painting to do and more carpet to be put down. Those things will probably wait until after we get back.
