Anyone doing the nike+ human race10K around the world today, August 31?

The racers have already finished in australia, japan, taiwan, and points east...

in Tel Aviv, we're only running tonight at 8:45 PM and even then it will be hotter than hades with humidity much like that of orlando...

despite the intense heat, there are thousands registered to run here and they had to turn down thousands more - the race route can't hold more ....

it's going to be REALLY fun!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm registered for it and will be running today. We don't have a host site anywhere near here so I'm doing it on my own and will upload my results later today.

It's a neat concept and good to see it helping out charities.

I did it this morning on my own because there wasn't anything near me. It took me 1:27:02. Good luck to everyone doing it. :goodvibes

I'm not in an official city either, but one of the local running stores put on a nice race for us as part of the Nike thing. It had a 6:30 AM start time. :scared1:

I finished in 1:24:12 and was either next-to-last or fourth-from-last, depending on whether the two runners I had passed completed the race. (I never did see them cross the finish line.)

They gave out a bunch of door prizes, but they had started drawing names while I was still, oh about a mile or so away from the finish! I went up and asked if they'd pulled my name while I was still running, and apparently they had (either that, or they took pity on me and gave me a door prize as consolation for being so much slower than the rest of the pack). I'm now the proud owner of some really fancy Nike performance socks, which I desperately needed, so I'm thrilled!

racing here in a host city at 6:30 pm tonight. It is in the 90s here.

I ended up running around the track at the university. It was a nice cool evening and aside from some students practicing soccer on the field in the middle, I had the track to myself. Hey, this was the first time I can say wasn't passed! :thumbsup2 I finished in 1:05:08.

I was able to do this yesterday as well. My time wasn't as well as I wanted since I finished in 80 minutes but my hamstring wasn't feeling right so I didn't want to push it to hard.

Congratulations to all of you WISHers who went out and completed this feat.

I tracked my milage during the Disneyland Half marathon, and need to plug my ipod into the nikeplus site.
