Tuesday means that we are at Grand Cayman. We also must tender in to the island (our first time tendering).
Coffee comes at 7:15 today, before breakfast at Lumiere's where we had Iso as our server. He seemed interested in the diary that DW was keeping. Thank goodness she does, because without those notes, no trip reports.
Following our meal, we go up to deck 4 and walk around to take pictures and video. Both cameras do not like the humidity on this vacation much more so than on the Eastern. The video will not work until we were on the island for an hour or so.
We are anchored next to the Carnival Inspiration which is next to the Celebrity Century. Tendering was very easy as we didn't have to wait at all and the seas were very calm. Took some great pictures of the Magic from the tender.
We rented a cab at the dock (for $3.00 each) and went to the Holiday Inn portion of 7 mile beach. The driver (Virgil) gave us that rate as long as we agreed to let him pick us up later which he did and that the return rate would be $4.00 each.
The beach is beautiful and thw water is warm. DW and I stroll from one end to the other and take pictures and video. We can also see our "home away from home" at anchor in the distance.
All too soon Virgil comes calling and we head beck to the Magic where we cool off in Quiet Cove for awhile before a late lunch at Topsiders.
DW and I return to the island in the afternoon and visit some of the shops.
Dinner is at Animators again and 3 of us have the Prime Rib. DW has the fillet of Salmon w/roasted parsnip puree and Bassmati rice. Desert was warm apple pie w/vanilla ice cream and chocolate torte w/apricot jam. Since we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, Sylvester, Zaldy and Maclean brought us a cake to honor the occasion.
Entertainment that night was WWTBAM. Three people only got as far as $80. each although the questions were not that difficult.
Walking decks 4 & 10 and sitting at the bow looking at the stars rounnded out our day as we continued west towards Cozumel.
