Just wanted to share this thread from the main board if you did not see it. Also, anyone who has already cruised may be able to comment. Looks like I will need to buy some water shoes for the family.

"We just got off the Dream. Even when the temps were only 75 degrees or so, the steps on the Aquaduck were blazing hot. We knew enough to keep our shoes on till the top. There was one crew member who was trying to insist that people take their shoes off. "

Hi Folks,

We will be joining you on this cruise. Myself, DH and DDs, 15 and 17. This is our 3rd Disney Cruise, and the last one where my older daughter will be able to join in the teen activities. Looking forward to it!! Does anyone have a link to a Navigator for this cruise? I can start making activity and dining reservations in a couple of days, and want to know the scoop. Thanks!

As weather is a hobby/interest of mine, I would like to share a good weather site that focuses on tropical weather and cruising interests. As we have had two named storms prior to start of the official hurricane season (June1), this could be an interesting 3 months prior to our cruise.

Great to hear that we will have another DISboard member joining us on board. :thumbsup2
Good luck with making your activity and dining reservations. I made mine a few days ago and everything was still wide open! :goodvibes (Sorry no recent navigator, but I went by last years navigators ;))

Just made final payment. I have to wait until June 15th to book dining, but that will give me time to try to find the newest on when kids can be in the clubs!

The only downside is we *still* do not have my dh birth certificate (ordered in Feb), so it doesn't look like we will have passports in time :sad2:

Just completed my on-line check-in :cool1:

Now just have to give credit card info to make final payment:eek:

I noticed during check-in that our room has two wave phones in it. Are they free to use? If cruised before, how well do they work?

89 days left!! :woohoo:

Congrats on completing online check in.

Every room has two wave phones, which work really well if you don't forget to charge the battery ;)
And yes, they are free to use - but beware, they WILL charge you if you loose them.

Hello, we will be joining everyone for this cruise. Just made final payment and booked our excursions. It will be me, my husband, and our two sons, 14 and 12. My 12 year old can't wait to go to the Edge, and the 14 year old? It's "whatever" He's a teen. lol.

Anyway, we booked parasailing for Castaway Cay and the youngest wants to pet the stingrays as well. We didn't book anything for Nassau, too expensive, however, we will probably just jump in a taxi and go to the Atlantis Aquarium and pay at the door. Much cheaper than Disney prices.

It's nice to meet all of you, I've tried to read all of the threads before I posted. I really can't wait for this cruise. Mom needs a vacation!!!! :-)

Welcome!
We will be driving to Virginia to catch the Auto-train for this cruise.

It feels wonderful to be paid in full and be able to book excursions. :thumbsup2
Good to know that you got what you wanted. The Atlantis Aquarium is wonderful, but like you, I wouldn't go with the Disney tours. We did two of them and none of them were really worth the money (given they are operated by an outside source).

It won't be that much longer ...... we leave a little early (we go to the Florida Keys for a week, then a week at WDW and this cruise will be the second leg of a back to back for us) and we will be on our way in just 10 more weeks from today! :woohoo:

That's great, you must be catching the train in Lorton, Va. Thats 10 minutes from our house. Where are you coming from?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, it is very nice to be paid in full and have the excursions booked. Now all I have to do is try to get my figure and my tan back so I can be seen in public in a bathing suit. Better get to the gym. LOL

Well, this was the shortest meet n greet I've ever had. We just jumped ship to one of the 5 night specials in August. (VGT) Guaranteed Verandah rooms for a very good price and an extra night. We couldn't pass it up, so we did the old switcharoo. :woohoo:

I hope you all have a great trip. Take care.

We jumped too! Prices are too good to not take advantage of. Fantasy here we come. Hope all of you enjoy this cruise!!!!

Make it three...We received a great deal on an 8 night Eastern on Carnival for the same price as our 4 night on Disney. We have cruised Disney a few times before and this is our first time on Carnival.

I hope everyone has a great cruise.

Wow! There will be no one left! Glad everyone got such great deals! We're sticking with this cruise because our airfare is non-refundable.

Happy cruising!
