DP, thanks for the wishes. It's been a long three years, but it's almost over. Yeah! DH is taking the test in Ontario on a laptop. I feed little bits and pieces of cruise info when he's not locked in his office. He wants to go the the Pirate Museum in KW.

Have you found a good price on airfare. Everything is over $300rt! I don't know if I should take something now or wait to see if the nonstop American flights will come down in $. We live closer to John Wayne Airport, so if we have to make a stop, I'd rather leave from there.

RV's report is awesome. I read his latest entries this morning. He's a great storyteller. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the rest...

Don't get mad at me, but....

My partner and I were flying back from Tulsa on United a couple of weeks ago and were supposed to have a ridiculously long layover in Denver. When we got to the Tulsa airport, they told us that our flight was oversold, and offered us two free tickets, plus a First Class upgrade, if we would take a later flight out of Tulsa. Doing so got us on the same connecting flight out of Denver that we were already on, so we we got the upgrade and the free tickets, and still got home at the same time as originally scheduled!

I had checked earlier and nonstop flights to Orlando were about $300...but I concentrated on paying off the cruise first. Next thing I knew, the airfare had increased to $500 per person, and I'd been kicking myself about waiting too long and then having to cough up $2,500 for the tickets (or cashing in some miles to get a couple of free ones). So I used our two free tickets, and only had to buy three more for our vacation.

So we got very, very lucky!

It wasn't my first choice, but I just got a SW Ding with $99 from MCO to San Diego. Coupled that with an internet special fare from ONT to MCO for $109. Both flights have 1 stop w/o plane change, so it only increases travel time by 30 minutes. I'm so glad I got on the computer just now. The Ding wasn't there this morning and it expires in a couple of hours.

Yeah! One step closer to Disney.

Hi everyone. We will be on this cruise as well. We are a family of 4. DH, DS-10, and DD-4. We are looking forward to a great trip!

A little tip: check out flying into Jackonsville instead. There was a 50% savings, then get a car a budget and drive the 2.5 hr. easy drive and alot cheaper

Good to know. I thought it would be a lot further than that. Disney ME is picking us up at MCO since we're staying at WDW for a few days. We're going to rent a car at Budget at DTD the night before we leave and drop it off at the port.

Thanks for the tip, though.

We just booked this cruise - It will be me, DH and our girls (ages 9 and 12). We've been on a couple of Disney cruises before - the last was Nov 2004. Looking forward to a great trip!

Happy 4th of July! We are almost to the 50 days (but who's counting?) mark! It looks like there are 24 of us who have subscribed to this link. When do you think we will start receiving our cruise documents?

to mkygrl: we are considering reserving the Thriller boat/beach in GC. Did you check out their direct website?

Our last DCL cruise, the docs arrived about 2 weeks before we departed. Then we all get to do the "Cruise Doc Dance" :cool1: :dancer: :dogdance: :dance3:

Hi Jacob's mom
No I haven't checked their site? There is one? I think with me doing the excursion alone I want to book through DCL.

Everyone we are getting closer!!! BF and I got his new suit for the semi/formal nights! We are so excited!!!!!

:cool1: I can't believe that we can say "We're leaving next month!" :cool1:

Just bought lime green shirts and visors for me and DD to wear to the terminal. DH is not as into it as we are...his loss. Can't wait to meet you all. See you in 7 weeks, 2 days.

Hi Everyone,

Since we just booked this cruise last week, and I found the thread a couple of days ago, I finally had a chance to go back and read through the posts. Looks like there are a lot of us from the NY/NJ area - I guess because schools start later here. We have cruised this same week a couple of other times and there always seems to be a big NY/NJ crowd.

I was putting together a list of the people who have posted so I could remember who had girls who were the same age as my daughters. (I know I probably have some mistakes, but thought it might be helpful to see a list of everyone who has posted here so far. There are quite a few of us! :)

mykygrl: Yes! There is a website that you can check out. It is www thrillercayman.ky We still haven't booked anything- but we are leaning towards doing this along with the 1 hou beach drop off that they include. I think my son would love it...it is me that I am leary of! We would probably book one of the mid-day rides (11 or 12:30) to avoid any tender issues. Do you remember the priceif you book through the cruise?

The one through DCL is 69/49. I will probably do this one. It overlaps BF's Scuba Dive. After he does his thing and I do mine we can meet up and shop!

I'm rigging a lime green antennae topper to hang off my back pack. I may even put Dis on it..hmmmmmm

wjbc,
Thanx for putting this together. I am still willing to organize a group list with names, staterooms, home towns. I did get a few replies. My boys baseball season "should" be done within the next two weeks, so I will be able to organize this.

Baseball season lasts forever, doesn't it? Josh has been looking for your son via email!

Did I send you our info for your compilation? I don't remember!

I'm gonna post on the regular disboard to see any ideas for cruise meets we can do.

I'll return with info........
