Oh, are any of you making door signs? Should we add a color to Alien Green that's specific to our thread?

Of course, I say this and I haven't even made it to HD to pick up any swatches yet. I don't know about you guys, but I've always been partial to green and pink.

:hmghost: :ccat:

Are we all going to pick the same colors? I am new at this so forgive me if I sound dumb. :)

Door Signs! :bounce: I will get onboard with that as soon as Southwest releases their schedule to include my cruise dates. Can't make any plans for much of anything without that teeny bit of info.

I know there is a thread in the community board of people that design signs (and T-Shirts and whatever) for cruisers. I haven't had time to figure that out. It looks confusing :confused3. But at some points in my day, walking is confusing for me :rotfl:
I would be happen to make up a booklet of our fellow cruisers. You send me the pertinent info to my email address: pjblank@msn.com
Name
Home City and/or State
Staterooms
Kids names and ages
early or late dinner

Gotta get back to work, then I have double baseball practice with my kids. :scared1:

Anyone think of anything else?

Went to HD yesterday and picked up a few Alien Green paintchips. I didn't realize they're already shaped like Mickey. I thought everyone was cutting out a Mickey from the swatch. Anyway if anyone needs one that doesn't have access to a HD, PM me your address and I can send out this week. I think I've got six.

Tried to pick a second color, but the only pink that was Mickey-shaped was Happily Ever After, and it's really a red-purple. DD(almost)5 thought Ariel's Afternoon Swim (dark tourquoise) looked better with Alien Green. She didn't ask why we were looking at paintswatches.

Hey everyone!
My family and I are also on this cruise. This will be our second time on the Magic, the first time being in January 2005. We sailed with a group of fellow Disney fans from another internet site. We made some great friends, including Pam from PA (who is on this cruise!)
My family consists of me - Michael, my DW Debbie and our two DD's - Shannon who is 17 and Erin who is 5.

We look forward to meeting all of you and sharing in all the fun and planning for our "Magical" cruise

Michael

Is anyone in our group planning on doing ’Rays, Reef, and Rum Point or the Stingray and Island Tour through Native Way in GC?

I definately want to do Stingray City but I don't know if we need to go to the reef to snorkel as well. It might be too much for DD5(tomorrow) and I'd like to get a tour of the island and maybe even get in some beach time.

So much to do...so little time.

Why couldn't I find you guys earlier - instead starting a new thread???? Anyway, a big hello :wave2: from a sunny (yes I know it's hard to believe) UK & can't wait to get on board. My eldest DD is 6 (Lauren) & I'm sure woud love to chat with anyone of a similar age before she goes - if anyone has willing DD's please feel free to PM or e-mail! Other DD (Hermione) will be 14 months & hope to make use of Fliunders (anyone else with babies out there).

I have made door signs, so feel free to swing by (we're on deck 7) for a butchers. I've even bought a wipe board (yes, I know it has been subject of debate), so messages can be left if any of you fancy saying Hi!

Haven't yet decided on any excursions, but our pack yesterday & it said we could start booking at the end of May rather than June.

Now, must subscribe to the thread so I don't lose you all! :rotfl:

I have to get myself motivated to do door signs. We did them last year and it made it so much easier to find our stateroom. As far as excursions go, we've pretty much settled on going on our own in Key West, doing Tulum with DCL in Cozumel, and doing the Atlantis Submarine (either by ourselves or with DCL - haven't decided yet) in Grand Cayman.

My husband already thinks I'm nuts when it comes to the cruise and Disney in general. Your point about it being easier to find your room should help me make my case for a door sign.

Yeah, but being nuts when it comes to this kind of stuff is a good thing right?! :rotfl2:

Yes we'll be there! Me, my husband son and daughter will be there on this cruise.

My son is 11 soon to be 12. My daughter, will be 8 going on 9. We are still looking for people to email my son before we go.

Cindy, did you son email Nick? He is 11, will be 12 in May. Although baseball season has started and his time at the computer is limited, but he will get back to him eventually.

Where is everyone staying the night before the cruise? We're staying at the Portofino in Universal Studios. We have some free passes, and my MIL has never been there.

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. But it is a surprise for everyone but me. Breakfast at Boma the morning we leave for the ship.
How is everyone getting to the port? I am toyng between renting a car and using Sunray for a transfer. Decisions, decisions. :confused3

Haven't decided where we are staying but it will be in the world...we are there for 9 days b4 our cruise. We are taking the Magical Express to the port on departure day.

Has anyone or is anyone thinking about taking the speed boat fast boat exursion in Grand Cayman?

We haven't decided if we're coming down for WDW before or not. If we do we'll probably stay at the Port Oleans French Quarter. If we just come in the night before we'll stay at the port.

DH has 14 days to go until graduation. We'll be able to plan a little better after that.

I can't wait.

Been away from this board for a while... DH has been toying with running the Marine Corps Marathon again this October, so we were going to cancel our first Disney Cruise :worried:

Now, since he's been working so much lately, he says I deserve to get to go, even though it is costing an arm and a leg!

So... we have until June something, and he says he wants a suite (that surely will double the cost!). We're on a waitlist for any kind of suite. I'm calling today. Southwest came out, and now I want to go early and stay somewhere like AKL (been there twice and love the ambiance) or somewhere new at WDW.

I'll check back with you guys soon! Send pixiedust my way for a suite please! You guys are fun and it would be great to get together! :wave2:

Amy

We've got 5 days in WDW before the cruise, currently booked at ASMo, but enjoyed CBR so much last year, thinking of upgrading to either POFQ or POR, but can't do anything until we get docs from our TA as Disney won't yet know we even exist! Driving down to the port, so more $$ to park, but there again, whats a few more when the holiday from the UK is an arm & a leg anyway! :rotfl2:

Celestine,

I don't think it'll be that much more to go from all stars to the moderate. If you book with tickets, you get free dining at that time of the year. Not like you need to load up on food before the cruise :rotfl2: But we just returned from wdw and just me and the kids - we went through the money on just snacks and counter service food.

I agree with the arm and a leg - I found out we may get a one bedroom suite which is 11,000. Yikes. But you have plane fare from UK! Oh well, you only live once! Best to you!

Amy

PS I do think someone is sending pixie dust - I'm about to call the TA to see about the suite! Thanks! pixiedust:
