For everyone who could book 90 days out, what ressies did you make? Since it's our first cruise, we can't book until June 12th. I'm still trying to decide on shore excursions.

1st DCL and I want to do brunch at Palo. I can't make ressies until next Monday AM. Honestly should I really get up to get the 3AM ressie or if I get up at 6:30Am should it be ok?

When I made my ressies at the 90 day mark, everything was pretty much available, except for some of the brunch slots, so it might be chancy. They do save some ressies onboard for people who don't make them on-line. If you don't get what you want, just go first thing and get them when you board. I still have to make the ressies for my mother-in-law since she is a first timer.

So is it Monday for the 75 days out for sure? I didn't know if I should count the 26th, which would make next Tuesday ressie day.

Hi guys,
just made my ressies for brunch at Palo's got sun at 10:30-which is perfect.
We are doing a trolley tour of KeyWest and then the pirate musuem.
My MIL is on Oxygen and is wheelchair bound so nothing to strenous.
Have to change dinner ressies though only got Mon pm and that is the captain's dinner. Oh well I will be on today.
Coming on board with 5 boys age 11-13 and 1 DD 6 so bring on the kids!!!
Maybe we can get a disboard meeting on board, I'd love to talk to other Disney maniacs as my DH callsme.

We're staying at POFQ from Wednesday until Saturday. It's my first time at WDW. Seems weird since I'm a DL at least once a month. We're going to MK and Epcot.


Maybe we can get a disboard meeting on board, I'd love to talk to other Disney maniacs as my DH callsme.

Bought the last of our outfits for the pirate party yesterday - DD has an Elizabeth Swann costume from POTC II so is ecstatic!

Kaceyisme - Yes, you're right, when I wrote the sig ages ago I could only remeber the date we were leaving the UK & it was one of those "on my list of things to do" that has never quite made it to the top & as the world cup starts, probably never will! Can't wait to go & the 21st makes it seem even sooner!
We're booked at ASMo, but are planning to upgrade to POR as soon as we get our ressie no. from our TA here (which will probably only be 2 weeks before we go).

Celestine - I'm glad that you are coming in early and that it wasn't a mistake about the cruise! I saw the date on your sig and I got worried! We're only coming in a day early and spending the night at the Portofino at Universal. We have some free passes that are burning a hole in my pocket! We'll be doing WDW at Christmas though, so I can overlook not going this summer.

I got so excited today.. I just bought Catie's (DD6)dress for the formal nite on ebay. I got her this beautiful long dress for 20.00 yeahhh
anyway now I have to start shopping for me.
By the way, thanks to DISboards I remembered my Disney Visa credits, between my husbands and my card we had 500.00 accumulated. I am a happy girl....

Hi everyone -
I'm so glad I finally found you. I've been looking for a board to meet folks before the cruise for some time. I spent 6 months chatting with folks on our cruise to Alaska last year before we left, and it made such a difference in how much fun we had.

I'll be cruising with DH, DS9, and DS5. My parents are coming along (DDad, and DMom???), along with my brother (DB??). Everyone is a first time cruiser except my husband and myself. though this is my first DCL cruise.

It'd be great if the boys (Jakob - 9, and Issac - 5) could get to know someone before the cruise. They're outgoing and friendly, but it's always easier to be looking for a friend. We'll be celebrating Issac's birthday (which is actully July 31) on the cruise. He's been telling everyone for months that he's going to have his birthday on a cruise with Mickey! It was cute for the first 4 weeks.

We are also spending a few days at WDW before. We arrive on Wednesday the 23rd. We're staying at Shades of Green (SoG), which is right across the street from the Poly.

What's up with the Alien Green paint chips? I've read the whole thread, but couldn't quite figure that one out.

Hi Esteri, congrats on your 1st cruise on the Magic. You are going to love it but beware it is addictive and may spoil you for all others. The kids will love the club- Disney really does know how to do the kids programs well.
I am traveling with 5 boys ages 11-13 and DD 6. Make sure you sched a nite a palo's for dinner- it is the best.

Hi...We are a family of 5 from New York. Me (Lisa), DH Chris, DS Michael (11), DS CJ (8), DD Kayla (5). I was so happy to find this thread! WE booked so long ago, but now it finally is getting close!

PamJB, I would love to be on your list. (you sound as anal as me as I put together a list of people on this thread too. I laughed when I got to your post about organizing it all!) Our info not mentioned above:

Staterooms 7004/7006 (I think...I have to check)
Late dinner - though, I requested the "earliest" late dinner as I read they have staggered the meal times now.

I'm sure my kids would love to meet kids before we go. The boys are very into sports-both playing and watching. Basically, Jets and Yankee fans--since so many of us are from NY, that may be a common thing! Personally, I like the Mets....

Kayla is a typical 5 year old: Princess, dressup, my little pony, etc.

I also plan on decorating the door whenever I have some time to figure it out! I recently became a nurse and am currently training full-time. between that and the kids' activities, I am pretty busy every day!

We are arriving on Thursday and staying at the Nick Hotel. My kids are more excited about that than the Cruise!! I plan on renting a car and driving to the port on Sat morning; will rent again when we return to go to the airport.

Happymommy---if I was staying in a suite I'd be a happy mommy too! We actually had to get two cabins because there's 5 of us. Still cheaper than a family suite and we get two bathrooms!

Tor--you sound as lucky as us with travel weather. (Uh oh ) We had a hurricane in the Bahamas in NOVEMBER!! It was a vacation for our 10th anniversary-first with no kids. In Dec 1997 we went to WDW--remember El Nino? It POURED 6/7 days. I guess everyone will want us to cancel the trip now!

Mkygrl--We stayed at Poly in Feb. We all LOVED it!!! You will have a great time.

Well, I've written enough for now! Looking forward to meeting all of you. Will continually check out this thread for posts!

Speaking of lists... If you're willing to mail it to me, I'm willing to put it on our website where everyone can get it. We did this for our last cruise. Folks even emailed pictures so we would all know who to look for. It made a big difference. We were meeting and greeting each other in line waiting to check in! Here's the URL if you want to see what I mean: <URL was supposed to go here> The board won't let me post it because I'm so "new". Can I send it to someone and have you post it.

Anyway, if you want something similar, I'm happy to post it to a new page. I can't be the "keeper of the list". But I'm happy to post it whenever it's updated. I really doesn't take much time.

BTW, I figured out that the Alien Green thing is about.... Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot - right? And folks are making door markers out of them - yes? We had to go to Home Depot for some landscaping stuff today so I picked some up. Lots of samples in California! That green is so bright though. I'm afraid I had to tone it down a bit with something else. So I got two Alien Green, a Prince Charming (dark purple), and a Smakeral of Hunny (yellow) - it makes a nice combo. Found some Mickey Head shaped letter stickers at Michaels too. So, each head has the first initial of someone in the room. I think it's going to turn out pretty OK.

We have main dinner seating, so the plan is to have salads/apps with the kids and have Palo dinner later that night.
