Not really I was hoping for at least a Deluxe Inside but I may now see what it would cost for an VGTY not sure if I want to be in an inside now. There are a lot of verandas left so if it's not too much more I may go for it. Haven't been in an inside cabin since 1995, once you have a balcony you never want to go lower but got such a great deal on this that I couldn't pass it up!
What did you book?

We booked VGT. Hoping for a good one! Good luck with yours!

Just returned from a really fun Orlando vacation. We visited Universal for the first time, stayed at Portofino for the week. Harry Potter was amazing, great attention to detail. Spiderman and Minion mayhem in hi def 3D were standouts. My kids did the Jedi academy at Hollywood studios and the redone Star Tours in high def 3D was also fantastic. We also spent a 10 hour day at SeaWorld Aquatica water park that was outstanding.

Best part was coming home and not feeling down because the cruise is less than 3 weeks away!!! :yay:

Glad you had a good time did you try the frozen butter beer Harry Potter? that's my fav...have you gone to Discovery Cove (where you swim with dolphins) yet if not you should put that on your list for next time it is simply the BEST

We did Discovery Cove about 6 years ago and really enjoyed it. Now that Sarah is 8 we want to go back so she can do the Dolphin Swim experience. Our 2013 vacation plans are pretty much decided. We plan on WDW, Vero Beach, Busch Gardens Tampa, Universal Studios, Sea World, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove.

Very nice sounds like you have a busy fun 2013 to look forward too. We have been to Discovery Cove at least 1x per year since it opened and have swam with the dolphins a few times since it has been 6 yrs since you have been there it will almost be like a whole new park for you they have made a few changes since then most recently the Grand Reef and now the monkeys I am sure Sarah will have a blast

There are few good choices to have a DIS Meet @ 3 PM. I have created a poll to pick your choice.

Jeff

Poll option doesn't seem to be working. Oh well.

The choices are:

Vista Cafe - Deck 4
D Lounge - Deck 4
Bon Voyage Lounge - 3
Outside venue

My granddaughters and I just finished making about 200 of these to hand out at the meet. People can put them on their lanyards or hats if they like to identify themselves as DISers. I should have enough for everyone, even those not in the FE group.

Hi. I love your FE gifts.(the green Mickey) My kids are going to be so upset with me because i have been so swamped with work and starting a new business i missed all the deadlines. Can someone update me on the meeting date and time as we are traveling with 5 cabins and i some age groups looking to make friends. Thanks i am back on board and in cruise mode now :)

That's so thoughtful of you! I'm not doing FE this time...traveling without kids and wondered how I would find all the DISers. Thanks to you, it will be easy now!:cheer2:

Good point! Better safe than in a storm....they need to just relax and be glad they are livin' the Fantasy!:rotfl:

As I suspected, the captain of the Fantasy has changed the itinerary for today's cruise, they are going eastern instead of western because of Ernesto.

It's always good to keep in mind that the itinerary is at the captain's discretion. First and foremost, he has to think of the safety of the passengers and crew so itinerary changes do happen.

Thank You!!! Love them!!!

Weather feels like I am still in Florida. It is very humid and keeps cycling between bright and sunny to dark, thunder and lightening!

We did a dolphin swim excursion on our western cruise last spring that was good but I would like to consider doing the Discovery Cove experience. We know we want to return again next year for 2013.

For April we have the Pride of America Hawaii cruise planned and I have a 2 week block off for summer 2013 that I was considering a Med cruise but I think we will go back to Florida instead.

I typically ship the Monday before the cruise and use USPS Priority mail so it gets there Wednesday or Thursday. I would think you have at least this weekend and next, possibly a third weekend before you have to ship. Good luck assembling your FEs.

That's my plan too.

Although I do want to go to St. Thomas and St. Martin, since we have never been, I wouldn't be too upset if suddenly went someplace else. It is all about the ship really for me, with the stops just being nice perks.

Also, I wouldn't be too upset about having to go to Nachi Cocum again or maybe even trying out Mr. Sancho's.

I'm going to vote for any one of the three inside venues since I know it can be HOT on the deck of the ship, especially in August.

These are wonderful!

Don't forget folks if you have kids schedule a character call. We did one a few mouths ago and the kids loved it!! We have another one scheduled for the night before we leave for FL. :-)

Having never been on a cruise before, we will love whatever venue is chosen. Actually I lie. When I was 12 (43 years ago) we traveled from the UK to Australia on the Chandris line's Australis. Has cruising changed much? :rotfl:

We did a 7 day Eastern in 2003 and 2004, since then it was a Western 2005 and 2006, Panama Canal 2008, Western in 2010 and 5 day Bahamian on the Dream. Since we haven't been to St. Thomas and St. Maarten since 2004 it would be a little disappointing, but we are on the Fantasy so "it's all good!" :thumbsup2

Nope, it's all pretty much the same, nothin' has changed. :lmao:

By the way, my heritage is English so *occasionally* you may hear some mildly dry and sarcastic humor. :goodvibes
