I was pleasantly surprised at the availability of most categories for our cruise

I figured that was the case since the prices haven't increased much in the last few months. Many of my friends that work in the School District can't get off that week due to in service training.

I'm in administration so I don't have the same constraints, if so I may have to quit in order to go on this cruise:rotfl:

It is getting closer but it is still TOO FAR AWAY.

There is a renewed excitement now that my folks are going to be coming along with us. My mom traveled with us on the Wonder on our first 3 nighter and my dad has never cruised because of his motion sickness fears / tendencies. I'm hoping that a scopolamine patch, meclizine (Bonine) and other homeopathic methods, along with a low dose anxiolytic like Ativan will do the trick. :thumbsup2

I have my mom, dad and mother-in-law on this cruise:) On my last Eastern Itinerary, me and my dad went to Palo's for brunch on Sunday morning and tried to eat everything in site:rotfl:

Tonight the family sat around and read the Navigator's from the Maiden Voyage of the Fantasy and talked about interesting activities that we may be interested in. We can't wait until the Eastern Intineraries will be available:thumbsup2

This will be our first eastern. We did a western on the Magic last spring and it was our best cruise thus far - way better than the Bahamian ones which are too short and stop at Nassau (YUCK!)

Agreed. We did a western on the Magic in October 2010 and it was the best....way better than our prior 4 day Bahamian, although that one was pretty good.

Have a great weekend everyone:thumbsup2 It looks like we will have a warm up in the Northeast:)

Tomorrow will be 19 week and counting:dance3:

The last time that I did the FE many of the families gave gifts that were associated to where we lived. For example I went to the historical area in downtown Philly and bought some inexpensive souveniers like bookmarks, keychains, postcards and candy that originated in philly.

Some people were creative like magnet calendars, bandanas, door magnets with the groups theme and art work etc.:thumbsup2

Joe

That's a really cool idea!!

Does anyone recall seeing the dining rotation schedule for 7 Night Cruises:confused3

I remember viewing it but I can't find it anywhere. I would like my group to start at Enchanted Gardens and to be in Royal Court on Formal Night:thumbsup2

TIA

Any word on the dining rotations? I'm guessing it's like 1231231 or 1233123... but those are just my guesses (insert whatever dining rooms for each number) I'm particularly interested in an Eastern rotation. :D
I don't remember where I found this (most likely here on the DIS somewhere!), I had saved it in my email!

This is the rotation for Eastern Itinerary A, per my Dreams Unlimited TA.

1-R/A/E/R/A/E/R
2-A/E/R/A/E/R/A
3-E/R/A/E/R/A/E

Formal night is day 2, Pirates in day 4 and Semi Formal is day 6"

We putin our request for rotation 2.

I found this quote on another thread. I was going to ask my TA for the 2 rotation.

I'm liking the sound of rotation 2.

I gotta figure what night to do Remy dinner....

Thanks for the info:thumbsup2 I am going to ask for Rotation 3 for a couple of reasons:

1) We will have two sea days and Animator Palatte is in the rear of the ship where there may be more vibration as they motor towards St. Maartin.

2) I am thinking that it would be nice to be dressed up while in Royal Court on night number 2.

Any thoughts:confused3

Hopefully this doesn't sound snobby, but I refuse to do less than 7 days. It takes me at least 3 to figure out how to relax!!

We've done both the Eastern and Western before and I really like them both, but picked the Eastern because I really liked the way the port/at sea days work out. Makes it easier for me to relax if we're at sea for awhile first. :cool1:

thanks so much for the info!!!!

I've got cruise fever pretty bad.

We have this cruise and a deposit for summer mediterranean 2013

I also just booked an April 2013 seven night southern caribbean on Celebrity for kids vacation next year.

We would love to do a Med Cruise but we are afraid of the Airfare for a family of five.

Our tickets for St. Lucia this summer were over $700.00:(
