We're doing FE for the first time this cruise too. I'm excited, yet nervous. I'm not very crafty or imaginative, so I new to peruse the web to get some good ideas!!

The last time that I did the FE many of the families gave gifts that were associated to where we lived. For example I went to the historical area in downtown Philly and bought some inexpensive souveniers like bookmarks, keychains, postcards and candy that originated in philly.

Some people were creative like magnet calendars, bandanas, door magnets with the groups theme and art work etc.:thumbsup2

In the FE information given on page 1 of this thread, it mentions breaking up into 2 groups if there are more than 20 participants (currently at 27). We'd like to be in both groups and give/receive gifts to everyone involved. Thanks! :wave2:

We are looking to book this cruise. My DD will be a few weeks shy of 11 and we are trying to figure out which club would be best for her. For those of you with 10 year old DD's which club do you think your daughter will be going to. My DD is an only child and would love to have a friend on the cruise. It looks to me like the Ocean Club might have more activities but I don't want her to be bored in the "baby" club.

Thanks for any and all replies.

My DD will turn 11 during the cruise and wants to be in the tween Edge Club. There seems to be lots of 10 and 11 year old girls here already on this thread. So, maybe some will be in the Lab and some in the Edge. I would see which club your DD would be happier with.
If your DD wants to email my DD, just send me a PM and I will share it. She likes to send and receive email.
We are looking forward to this cruise, as it will be my kids' first cruise.

Got my note too. Really making us ready for the summer and DD is already excited.

We will also be on the August 25th sailing on the Fantasy. 10 of us total - boys ages 1, 5, 6 (turning 7 on cruise) and one girl age 15. Kids cannot wait for the clubs; they look like a lot of fun and they had a great time on the Magic. Booked this trip as soon as you could in 2011 and I cannot believe its this close already. We are all so excited. Checking into the Poly on August 19th until the cruise. Anyone else staying at Disney before cruise?

Currently watching the Fantasy dock away from the terminal as it prepares for the Inaugural Cruise:thumbsup2

We will soon discover if DCL has learned from the early cruises of the Dream and if the crew has its "A" game on from the start:)

My friends got off the Fantasy this morning. They won a 3 night preview cruise. Can't wait to pick their brains! And my TA was on it the 3 nights prior to that. She's giving me a lot of information. She was on the Dream last month, and she is saying there are so many improvements. :wizard:

Let us know what your friends thought of the Fantasy! please and thank you! totally curious. :dance3:

We're coming in Thurs. First time I've done that...we usually come in the morning of and go right to the ship. Staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas unless my waitlist comes through for BLT.

Hi,
That is fine, I will wait until June-ish to see how many we end up with and then see what everyone thinks, I just don't want it to become a burden and take the fun out of it!!

Thanks,
Christine

Hi Everyone,
I'm so happy to join your group...just booked yesterday. I'm so excited to be on a DCL again and make new friends. Wondering if I have sailed with any of you before (check my signature and PM me if you have been on any of my previous cruises)?

I have a ton of ?s since it's been a minute since my last cruise....this will be my first time cruising without kids. They both grew up on me, so I will sailing this time with just me and DBF celebrating his 50th BD onboard and only five days past my BD. Are there others on this cruise sailing w/o kids? I don't know if I know how to do DCL without my kids....lol. My travel agent suggested Royal C, but I said "no". I'm a DisneyGirl forever...with or without kids!

I have lifelong friends from previous cruises that I met right here on DISBoards. Some of whom, I have sailed with on multiple cruises! Please fill me in on anything of significance that I have missed. I can search the thread, if you tell me what I should look for. DIS events have become so much more organized and detailed since my last sailing. I saw the fish exchange posts, so I'm up on that.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to meeting you all at the sail away meet up, that I'm sure is already planned.

:welcome: DH & I have cruise the last 2 cruises alone (We took DS on our 1st cruise for his 21st Birthday & Graduation from Automotive Training) It will be just the 2 of us this cruise.

I can't see any cruises in your signature. For some reason my computer cuts off the bottom of a lot of signatures especially if they are long. Could you post them on here so I can see them? Thanks.
