Welcome!! My daughter, Alexa, will be 12 at the time of the cruise as well! It's fun to have someone your age to hang around with.

Kazien, That would be wonderful. I was telling my daughters about this and they are very ineterested in meeting some other girls their age to hang out with on the cruise.

So, how long do you think it will take the cast members to be up to speed? I heard some things in the initial months of the Dream that the cast members were really not up to Disney's standards. Many were new and still learning the ropes as it seemed they did not take many experienced cast from the Wonder and Magic to the Dream. This is one of the reasons I didn't book the Fantasy earlier on. I figured I could give them time to get the kinks out and have the staff get more experience and know the ropes for a little while. What does everyone think? Will they staff this ship with more experienced cast than they did the Dream at first?

My Sarah, 8 at time of sailing, has made some great friends on the boards which makes the cruise so much more fun. Let me know if you want to trade emails, photos, etc.

This will be her 8th cruise, but first on the Fantasy. She was on the Dream last August and really looking forward to many new things on the Fantasy including the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique

Absolutely, I will definitely track him down and ask if he still has plans to go to the Fantasy.

If anyone else would like me to talk to any other cast members that they saw on he Dream and were wondering if thy will be setting up shot on the Fantasy, just let me know. Just give me there name and what they do/where thy work.

I just sent you a PM (private message) with our contact info. You can read PMs, but need to have 10 posts before you can send one. It is not unusual for folks to post repetive messages until they get to 10 so they can PM too.

There is a DIS DCL FAQ which is very helpful and will also get you up-to-speed with all the Disney acronyms that are frequently used.

Feel free to ask any questions, DISers are usually very friendly.

I would give you the advice I give anyone going to WDW or DCL for the first time...Don't try to do it all...just sit back take it as it comes and relax. If you don't relax you won't be able to control the good times you and your family will have.

These boards are a wealth of information. Just ask your questions and you will be given every possible answer that you could think of.

Greetings from the Lee's in Massachusetts!

Will will be on this cruise. I have a teenage daughter Sam (15) and a tween Erick (11) and us- Peter and Michelle.

We signed up for the cruise when we where on the Wonder in Alaska last summer, I'm just getting around to joining this cruise board. We would like to be part of the fish extender exchange. We are in: Stateroom 8508.

We will be in the parks before the cruise and then getting back home right after the cruise to get the kids ready for school.

Is anyone on the cruise scouts? On our last cruise we exchanged scout council patches with the boy and girl scouts on the trip.

We are very excited about this cruise. We are total Disney nuts!

Welcome to our cruise meet. DH and I are on our DS former BS troop committee. On our Wonder cruise in May 2007 we also did a council patch exchange. It was fun to see all the different patches.
