Thanks Lisa! I think I will have to take some girlfriends with me when I try on dresses. I am my own worse critic so I think I could use some objective opinions. I did look on ebay per your suggestion and they did have some beautiful dresses so I am sure you will look lovely also!

Thanks for keeping us updated Andy. Your effort is truly appreciated!

Attention All August 23-30, 2003 DISboard Magic Cruisers

Please make sure that at least one person from your group see me either Friday night 8/22 at the Radisson or Saturday 8/23 after the life jacket drill on deck 9 behind Topsiders. I have been very busy tonight and I will have a little something special for each DIS family(on this cruise). Should you not be able to make it to either of these DISmeets, you can get in touch with me onboard the Magic, I will be in stateroom 2554.

Looking forward to a MAGICal Cruise with my DISboard Family!!!

Now it's off to bed for me, 5am comes mighty early!!!

we're looking forward to our suprises, Andy... and I get up at 5:00AM too, usually earilier, just to have some "me" time. You have to take it when you can get it. and sometimes the only time you can take it is 5:00 AM!

Andy!

How sweet of you to think of us. We will definitely find you at the Radisson on the 22nd. Thank you in advance!! Based on all you handiwork I've seen, I'm sure it's going to be wonderful.
Kathy

I’ll be on the cruise with my DS’s 3 1/3 and 9. We went on the 4-day cruise back in 2000 – 4 days - just not enough time on the cruise. A friend of mine is coming on this cruise also along with his 2 kids – 7 and 5.

Can’t wait.

Welcome Aboard Mates!!!

Could you please send in the first names of all the cruisers in your group, and let me know if any of you will be celebrating any special occasions and if you have early or late dining. I would like to get all this info added to our cruise list.

When will your group be arriving? We are having a DISmeet on Friday evening 8/22 around the Radisson pool, and then again on Saturday afternoon, after the life jacket drill, on deck 9 behind Topsiders. Hope to meet you at one of these meetings.

Fellow 8/23-30/03 cruisers, help make our newest cruisers feel welcome.

Welcome Pickles! This is quite a group coming together on this cruise. Andy has been great bringing everyone together.
The countdown continues.....just not fast enough!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

hi pickles!

welcome aboard. We have such a large group going on this cruise, wow!!

it will be here in no time!

:p

Here's the info:

Mindy - 42
Dylan - 9 (he can't wait to be off on his own on the ship)
Luke - 3 1/2 (I hope he'll want to spend some time with me not always in the children's programs)

First time cruisers
Ivan - 39
Matthew - 7
Sammi - 5

We'll be at the early seating - the kids would never make it to the late one.

We'll be there on Saturday.

First time cruisers, add us to the list; myself, DH, DD-14, DD-12, DS-7.

We are a military family and my DH has done plenty of cruises, but none that are fun and w/family.

Mindy,

Thanks for this info, I will make the additions on the cruise list.

macfamily5,

Welcome Aboard Mates!!! Can I please have the first names of the cruisers in your group so that I can add them to our cruise list.

Also, are any in your group celebrating any special occasions on the cruise? Do you have early or late dining?

I'm sure by now that you have probably read that we will be having two DISmeets, one Friday night at the Radisson, the second Saturday afternoon after the life jacket drill on deck 9 behind Topsiders.

We hope that you will be able to make one of these meetings. I will have a little something for each DIS family, so make sure someone from your group catches up with me. My family will be staying in stateroom 2554, if you can't make it to one of the meets, stop by our stateroom during the cruise.

Okay

me-Cynthia
dh-Joey
dd14-Joelysa
dd12-Vanessa (will more than likely join her sister in the teen group, her birthday is in Sept.)
ds7-D'Erik

The late seating for dinner was assigned for us and actually works best for us. Not sure yet where we are staying the night before, we will probably be driving in that morning from Orlando.

Cynthia

Pickles61 and macfamily5 - Welcome Aboard!!

Between having to do my promotion seminar and the boards being down, I haven't had my DCL fix in days.:D :D With the exception of a few thank you notes, I am free to OBSESS about this cruise :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I found a great bathing suit at Kohls. It is a two piece "jogger" -the bottom is a pair of shorts in bathing suit material and th top is like regular tankini top- the suit hides the fact I am 40 and have 2 kids and more than a few pounds to lose. Unfortunately that is the end of the clothes I have for the cruise.:(

Andy, you are so thoughtful!!

I can hardly wait to meet everyone. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanks Cynthia, I will be working on getting the cruise list updated tonight. We just walked in the door, had some errands to take care of after work. My DD Angelina will be turning 13 in September, but we are celebrating her birthday on the cruise. When is Vanessa's birthday? Angelina's birthday is 9/15, and will be going into 8th grade in September.

Hello,

Vanessa's birthday is the 25th and she will also be going into the 8th grade starting August 11th. We have to pull them out of school for a week to go :( . With my husband and I both in the military, planning family vacations can be somewhat difficult. We are all definitely looking forward to this upcoming cruise. Partying for Joey and I and alot of fun for the kids.

Angelina's last day of school is tomorrow, she goes back Sept. 4th, that's why we chose the 8-23 cruise. If Vanessa would like, she could e-mail Angelina at my DW's e-mail address littlehayhay@comcast.net, Angelina is looking for someone her age to possibly pal around with. Angelina will be back home soon, she is at her friends house, I have to leave in a few minutes to pick her up. Angelina has an IM, but for the life of me, I can't remember it.

Welcome Cynthia and Family!
As I look at my countdown clock, we'll be hitting the 50's shortly!

Actually, since we haven't confirmed our flights yet (plan to do it tomorrow) my husband suggested that we arrive on the 21st at night and do WDW for a day on the 22nd. My dilemma is, where to stay. Originally we planned to stay at the Radisson when we were arriving on the 22nd, but now I'm starting to wonder if it wouldn't be better to stay near WDW for the 2 nights and drive to the port with a car rental on Saturday morning. Does Avis have a dropoff at the port, or only at the Radisson? I believe there is no dropoff charge with Avis if it's left at the Radisson, and somewhere I read that Avis's shuttle is a lot less busy than the hotel's shuttle.
Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks

The only Avis drop off office that I know of is at the Radisson. I also heard the same thing about the Avis shuttle being less busy than the Radisson shuttle.

Nine weeks from today, my family lands at MCO, then we drive over to the Radisson to meet a great bunch of fellow DIS'ers around the pool!!!
