August 2015!!!

I see it too but it says 10 days and we're at 7. Guess it's been stuck for a couple day lol

Thanks ok, we're still going to Disney in 7 days!!

I do I do!!!:rainbow:how were the crowds? Did you do dining? Favourite restaurant? popcorn::

The crowds were actually pretty bad. Worst I've seen in all of my summers at Disney. They thinned out at night, though. People got frustrated by rope drop chaos and would go home early.

And yes, we did do dining! I loved Cinderella's Royal Table, Ohana's, and of course, 50's Prime Time Cafe :)

4 more days to go! :goodvibes
DH and I just got back tonight from Vegas - so hot! Seriously, Vegas and Disney in August! :rolleyes1 What were we thinking lol! HOT!

I've been home for a few days! Anyone have any questions about the crowds/merchandise/etc. recently?

I heard it has been raining more than usual slalom (more than the hour afternoon shower) this summer. Was this the case when you were there? I'm headed there in 10 days.

LOL ... Not much of a gambler ... up about $40.00 :rolleyes1 But, that is in U.S. dollars, so with the exchange, definitely big bucks!
The way I look at it, I can't afford the Grand Floridian, but I won my family 8 dole whips:rotfl:
I'm thinking 8 Dole whips is probably better then the GF, especially since you're staying at the BC and POFQ. :thumbsup2

Two more days... Anyone want to split an IllumiNations fireworks cruise on Sunday, August 16? We're a family of 3 and have up to 5 spots available and will split the cost 50/50 with another family... The cruise leaves from the Yacht Club dock at 8:00 PM and park admission is not required.

Okay, so the weather was pretty scatterbrained this trip but here's what I experienced:
- MASSIVE torrential downpour that lasted for ages on Saturday (our check in day)
- Light afternoon shower that lasted about 1.5 hours on Sunday
- More heavy rain for about two hours Monday morning
- Weather was pretty good for a few days with some brief, light rain here and there
- 30 minutes of torrential rain again on Friday morning

So yes, there was more heavy rain than I have ever experienced in my summers at WDW, but it was somewhat spread out, and never lasted more than 2 hours. Sorry, didn't know how to give a direct and to the point answer to the question because the weather varied so much last week. Hope your vacation is awesome!

Would love to except we arrive on the 17th! Miss it by one day :(

We are 7 days out and I can't believe it's so close! All the Disney plan of attack is done, so just need to get organized for packing now.

With the rain/thunderstorms, does anyone know if WDW closes rides due to the weather? Rain doesn't scare me since I live in a place where people will laugh at you if you carry an umbrella, but now I am worried that coasters may be closed if there is thunder. Forecast for the coming week has all scattered storms all week. Just don't want to be disappointed.

I am lucky in that this is essentially a free trip for me (non-expiry tickets left, got condo for free thru couponing, got flight for free also) so I should just be thrilled with whatever we do get to experience. I still want a great time, though!

ThAnk you so much for responding. That sounds ok to me. I was worried because last year (in July) it rained 4 out of our 7 day stay. It rained for many hours (from about 5/6 pm each night...lasted all night:)
So when I heard they're getting more than usual this year I wanted to cry. I think I'm scarred from lady year ll
2 hours a day is doable.
