august 2013 codes for rental cars?

On a side note (kind of), as I mentioned earlier, I booked Alamo at $163 total, and have a confirmation email and printout confirming that. If I go back and look at the reservation at alamo.com, it shows as $178. What's up with that? (No, I didn't change anything) Have any of you seen that kind of behavior?

I know if I include my Rapid Rewards information, there's a surcharge. My quote showed 179.something. When I checked in (with the RR info there), it went up to $189ish. There's a daily surcharge but it may be capped at $7.50. And there's tax on that.

Your jump is bigger, so that's probably not it. Can you compare what you see on line and what you have in email line by line? That may reveal the issue....

Today I checked to see what deal I could get I got at budget full size car 151.00 total all in. I am going Sept 26 to Oct 4 9 days. I cant get anything close to this price anywhere else I dont know but I always seem to get the best price at budget. Maybe I dont know how to use the other sites ie Alimo and National well enough to know how to get good deal.

Hi yes I used for the bcd w852802 and coupon code mugz165

full size $91.84 total $151.49
premium $136.19 total $203.00

and sorry made a mistake this is for 8 days not 9 9 was total 174.00 for full size which is same price I paid last year same time. I wish people would post their codes so we could all try them. The bcd code is a costco code I use it every year and they have never asked to see my costco card. And the second one is a $35 dollar off week rental. Let me know how it works for you I hope great.

Just repriced my reservation with Alamo and it dropped from $135.62 per week for a std to $113.97 per week. So now with the VISA code and coupon for $30.00 off, I am at $273.61 for 2 weeks, my dates are Aug 15-29. I will get my TA commission rebated back so a total of $250.67. :)

What Visa code? That sounds like a good deal. I'm getting Alamo Insiders rate $165 for 5 day compact rental. Wanted to get a better deal, doesn't seem to be happening.

For those that have a reservation with the KLM Flying Blue discount code through National:

I just received the following email this morning:

"Dear Mr XXXX,

We would like to follow up on your recent inquiry related to a car rental with one of our partners National.

Upon investigation, we can confirm that the Flying Blue Discount Code to be used with this partner is CDP 8572130.

However, since National has now become part of the Entreprise-Rent-A-Car group as National Citer, the bookings should be made on the Citer website www.citer.com.

For any further inquiry regarding your car rental, you may wish to contact our partner directly though the webform available on their website

After our partner has validated your request, the Miles will be added to your Flying Blue account within 8 weeks following the car rental.

Yours sincerely,
Your Flying Blue team"

The CDP # listed is the one we have all been using (not the one listed on National's website which comes up the Korean Air). The incorrect CDP number is still coming up when you visit this page:

https://www.nationalcar.ca/genericPageTemplate.do?page=national-travelpartners-airfrance

and click on "reserve".

I did try to navigate through the www.citer.com site to see if I could place a reservation there using the code, but the site is all in French and I couldn't find the option to convert the language to English (my French, sadly, is rather rusty :rolleyes1).

I had great luck with dollar using city specials. We are picking up a car at the airport and dropping off at the Wyndham by downtown Disney. The two-day rental is only $53 total!! We could get the week for about $150 fir a mid size:)

Rate is back up this morning:confused3 VISA contract code is 7015504 and coupon code is AD2338FDF for $30.00 off. I believe you must use your VISA to charge the rental. Coupon is electronic so you don't have to present it at the time of rental. Good luck!

Yep, you have to pay for the rental with your visa to use the code.

Thank you so much for posting this code. I just booked a standard car for 12 days, Aug 21- Sept 2, for $231. This is by far the best rate I have found

That's a good thought and I will check that. However, most of the jump is the base rate itself. For some reason, if I even go into view it, it has a higher base rate. I'll bring it up while I'm down there, and if that doesn't work, I'll fire off a friendly email to Alamo after I return.

Rates are higher today, which is no surprise since I leave tomorrow...

Just rebooked my Alamo reservation - dropped a whopping $3 bucks from $202 to $199! Standard car, Insiders code and VISA coupon, 8/22 to 9/2.

I'm confused as to how to use the coupon code AD2338FDF and the VISA contract code 7015504 together. At first, I only used the coupon code and it was the same price as when I used both the contract code with the coupon code. :scratchin But now I'm thinking that it may just be the insiders discount that keeps bringing the total out the same. I got $165 for 5 days with and without the codes, but with using the insiders discount. Not too good, but it's OK.

Also, in reference to the quote above, do we have to have a certain type of VISA in order to use these codes? I'm guessing that you have to have the Disney Visa, but I may be so wrong! Please help me out on this...:confused3

On my reservation, the contract code takes about 5% off the base rate and the coupon code takes $30.00 off the total. I've had no difference with the Insiders.

Any Visa card. Does not have to be Disney.
