August 2011

Is anyone pre-ordering their photopass cd? I think I may do this for the first time.. otherwise we wont have any family pics.

While this is our first trip I'm no expert but I've been doing my homework. To me it seems when you pre-order the cd you get a code then when you get back from your trip you use that code to receive your discount. If you decide to not order the cd you pay nothing. This deal seams like a no brainer to me.

Somehow by pure fluk I lucked out and booked the last week in August then Disney offered free dining and with it a free photo book. I called and turns out we were able to still get this deal. Saved us a wad of cash and a free photo book:cloud9:. I still plan to pre-order the cd just incase we decide to order it.

Lizzyb, I just checked on the first page an see you are going the same week we are. Did you call Disney and ask about the free dinning plan? It was so worth it for me to call. If I were you I would give them a call and ask about switching to the Memories Vacation Package. The operator will ask you for your reservation number the tell you the price for both packages. I see that you are staying at CSR I'm not sure if that resort is part of the deal or not but it won't hurt to ask.

We are still thinking about it. We usually get it, but I don't know how many pics we are going to stop and pose for in all the heat this time. :faint: So I'd hate to waste the money. I'm still thinking about it......

I've always had to pre-pay for it. That's how you get the discount. If you don't pre-order/pre-pay and then decide to get it after the trip it costs more.

I do have free dining just not the memories package. I priced it out and it didnt seem worth it for me to change.

Thats my fear too:confused3

You right I went back and checked their sight. You can however ask for a refund if you decide it's not worth it. I copied this from the sight...

"If for any reason you are not satisfied with your photos and decide you no longer wish to order your product(s), just let us know and we can remove the credit from your cart and grant you a full refund."

Has anybody out their ever done this? Was it a royal pain to get a refund?:confused3

I went ahead and pre-ordered and paid for the photopass cd a few months ago. We've done photopass once before and didn't take a ton of pics which was a good thing because the photos were expensive to order more than two or three. With the cd I think we will take more pictures because we have the rights to print as many as we want at a much cheaper price! I got it at the discounted price so I figured why not. We only go every couple of years so why not do it up :cool1: I need to go back and re read how the cd works though. I don't know if you go to the parks and just get a photopass card or what?

What is everyone doing about park hoppers? We didn't get park hoppers. Our first visit we didn't know about them, our second trip we missed not having them when after an hour in AK we didn't like it and left and couldn't go to another park (we're giving it another try this time), our third trip we had them and only used them a couple of times so I don't know what to do! We have preschoolers so I don't know how much use we'd get but then again I'd like to have them just to hit a park for fireworks and a few night time rides if we feel like it. We used them to run in and see Osbourne Lights last time and did a little more hopping. Decisions, decision....My kids go to be at 7:30 pm at home but don't take naps, think I'm enforcing them this year so they may be raring to go at night???

This will be our third time ordering the Photopass CD...we are participating in a share. I know that you can't organize them on here anymore, but if your on Facebook you can there. It might be something to look into if your not sure how many photos you may take. It really cuts down on the cost of the CD.

We have always used park hoppers...love them. We spend the morning at one park and then have the option to go to another park in the evenings, usually for their evening magic hours It really works out nice for us b/c we only spend a couple mornings at AK.

You just get a photopass card when you get there and there is a # on the back of it and you apply that # to your photopass account when you get back and all the pics from the card will be added to your CD. You can add more than one pp card # too.

We don't get park hoppers. Not worth the extra money to us. We had them a few times when they came with the deal we booked, and we rarely used them. Lots of people love them, but I guess we are just not a park hopping family!

We don't get the park hoppers either. Not worth it to us. We only go to one park a day.

We plan on pre-ordering photopass. Since we'll only be the two of us, it's the only to have pictures with both of us in, besides holding the camera at arm's length and taking a close-up of our faces. :rotfl:

We are not doing hoppers. DH is really not a fan of switching between parks, or even taking breaks at the resort for that matter. Instead we'll use more creative ways to break inside the parks, accumulate FPs in the morning, then use them later. Plus, since we are on the Quick-Service DP, we don't really have much ADRs to get to.

We're at Pop Century August 19th - 29th 2011 ! It cant come soon enough!
