I am quite seriously thinking of going the last week in August right before my kids go back to school. Thing is, DH probably can't go, so it would be me, DS13, DD11 and DD9. Am I nuts?? The 4 of us are a pretty good team and I think we would do fine. I am more worried about the heat and humidity.

Does anyone have a feel for crowds at the end of August????

Can you say "Walk On?" We were there from Aug/30 - Sept 8 last year and we walked on just about everything. Sunday at Magic Kingdom was so amazing that I took pictures of the empty streets. If I knew how to post them I would show you. The PPP night was unbelievable. We like it so much we booked this year, same time. The children missed the first 1 1/2 days of school and that was all.

The weather was HOT HOT HOT. We stayed in the pool and went to the water parks early and the parks later on. It was worth it to us.

We are going to WDW for the FIRST TIME EVER 8/10-8/16. AKL savannah view. 6 day passes with DDP. I have not booked airfare tho.. I am soooo hoping for a deal to come out. It will be me, DH (both 23), DD(5), and DS(1). Anyone know how the crowds are this time of year? I am hoping it isnt that bad?

Wilderness Lodge Aug 10th-16th for 18th anniv. and DH bday. This is our first trip back since our honeymoon 18 years ago and my DD first trip ever. I'm already to excited to sleep, I think about it all the time.

i am going from the 20th to the 26th with my brother,sister in law and 4 yr old niece. This will be my 1st time in many,many years. Perhaps 30 to be precise. I am looking forward to it and can't wait for the adventure of it all.

We just booked today and we will be there on Aug2-9, our first trip to WDW EVER! I'm so excited, I went out today to the loacl disney store and got the kids pins and beach towels and shirts! LOL

We are going to be at POP AUg 15th to 21st. Dh and I are spending 1 night at AKL (thanks dsis and dbil for the night) We are celebrating our 30th anniversary and ds1 is graduating college and ds2 is graduating high school.

August 1-8, First WDW trip, Cant Wait!

I will be at CBR from 08/08/08 to 08/18/08. This is my third trip to the world, but it will be the first time staying on property and the first time seeing the Magic Kingdom (my first trip in 1999 was interrupted by the death of a family friend and we only got to EPCOT and Animal Kingdom, and my second trip was with college students who only wanted to do EPCOT and MGM). It's also my first time staying on property.

Also, to follow up on Chkysbak's post above, his PhotoPass share is full, but I started a second August share at http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1766843 which is still looking for five people. If you want to get all your PhotoPass pictures taken by Disney's photographers for $10-$13 (instead of the $125 that is normally charged), check out the thread.
