When I was dealing with my pricing problems, I did mention to the manager I spoke with (title was Senior Manager...), that we had 417 (headcount at the time). She acknowledged that she was aware of the DIS boards and was amazed at the number of people. Verandah Man don't you have some connections :smooth:

Rae - we were able to switch a Cat 11 booked through DU from our names to DH's Aunt and Uncle on May 6. I had booked a CAT 10 directly through DCL at 2:00 on May 5.

Surprisingly, there was no change to the price tier; it was requoted at the low price for 2 adults! The DU agent did say she was "very surprised".

BTW - I agree with you that Fidelio and the Dueling Pianos sounds like a great addition to our trip. Hopefully DCL can make it happen! (I'm sure we would have enjoyed the additional family entertainment on our 2/28 Western - DH and I never went to anything other than Palo without our 7 yr old DD)

Arlene:sunny:

BTW Izzinmac - you liked my spelling of "colour", huh? I guess you noticed I'm "Canadajen" eh?

Arlene..
I figured out the "colour" and "honour" thing. The one that has me confused is the difference between "huh" and "eh"!

Jazz LOL when I saw the photo. Maybe that is the rehearsal for the talent show of passengers. Or perhaps it is for the DIS board passengers only...
I also like some of Steven Kings books. I have to reread the Stand every five years or so.
Izzinmac- I also will be celebrating the big 60 this year so I will be right behind you.

Later all you :jester: . Estelle

Amanda...I think it is time for you to consider cancelling your ressies on this cruise. I'm afraid there are just too many "low life, drinking fools"on it for you to have to keep up with!

Noooooooooooo! Don't do it Amanda! We can't succeed in our plans without you! :hyper:

Quote from Izzinmac - "The one that has me confused is the difference between "huh" and "eh"!

LOL - No real difference, other than "huh" seems more universal, whereas "eh" at the end of sentences seems to be a Canadian quirk.

"Rutt and Tuke" (from Brother Bear) were previously "Bob and Doug McKenzie" on SCTV "Great White North" skits, parodying the Canadian "eh" !

Have a great day!

I guess somebody must have been a very good boy. I arrived home this afternoon just as our mailman was sitting a rather large box near our front door. I know neither my DW or I had ordered anything to come in such a large box. As I picked up the box to bring it in the house, I noticed a Disney address label, this really peeked my interest. I opened the box, and this is what I found (picture below). It was a gift from a fellow DIS'er and fellow cruiser that we will be sailing with in a few weeks and again in August 2005. To say I was surprised is an understatement. To my benefactor, I say "THANK YOU" and I am deeply touched by this WONDERful and MAGICal gift!!!

Hey VM... that's just like the one I got for Fathers Day!!!! Did yours come full of $100 bills, too!

VM,

It takes a good friend to have a good friend!!

What a nice gift and what a nice surprise!!

Be sure to put a name tag on that bag. I think we are going to see quite a few of those on the Aug. 2005, cruise!!!

Hey Andy way ... and I agree, better keep a really close eye on that bag. Might vanish... Maybe Steven King could write one of his books about a haunted MM suitcase...it lives on a verandah on a certain cruise ship. It only haunts people who live in the North east.

Hey all you Jersey/Pa people is the DIS meet still on for July 31st? And would someone post where we are meeting again? Please... The mind just doesn't remember where we planned to meet. Thanks...
Talk to you all tomorrow. Estelle
:earsgirl:

I was trying to get something together for July 31st which seemed to work for everyone. However it turns out that I've got a lot going on this summer so I really can't do more than determine a location. At the King of Prussia Mall (the side where the Disney Store is) there is a California Pizza Kitchen (rather appropriate right) that will accommodate us at 11 or 11:30 for lunch. This seems to be the best restaurant for our group and if everyone could bring a nice variety of bills we could just split up the bill equally at the end of the meal. This place is quite reasonably priced. Again, really this is the extent of what I can do for the meet so if anyone wants to volunteer to get prizes or organize other things that are done at the meets please speak up. We could subsidize the prizes by having everyone chip in a little extra money or something.

Would anyone be willing to help or do you guys just want to keep it casual and just meet for lunch and maybe a visit to the Disney store?
