Marsha- I thought we scheduled a "date" already for dinner!!
Hopefully, Disney will put some solo travelers together.
Date??? Oh yeah, that's right, a romantic evening in Palo. I too hope a lot of the solos are together.

BTW, here's the result of your request:

Where are you staying after the cruise?? Not sure yet. Probably All Stars or Pop, because of the $$$, but I may be able to get a moderate if the codes are good.
How was your trip to WDW?? Being married to a non disney person makes for interesting trips when he goes. We did F&W, which was nice, got to the gulf coast which was real nice and did the safari, so for a quick trip we did get some quality things done.

The entirety of DL/DCA including DTD and the DL hotel and GC Hotel and parking lots will fit in the PARKING LOT of the Magic Kingdomn at WDW.

I have done DL/DCA twice, once in October and once in March. Both times it was no problem to do everything in 2 days. It is less than 10 minutes to walk between the two parks.

Mary, I looked and only saw the regular prices of 139.00 for JFK- Long Beach. What day are you flying? Can you provide a link to the page with the specials?...Mark

ps. What day and flight are you taking? We're going the 19th on the 7:05am flight

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner my DSL wasn't working. I am flying out on the 18th at 8:30 am. I checked the 19th and your right it didn't go down yet.

Whats so strange about mine is that the $119 fare was released in increments of 2. While checking the flights, if I indicated more than 2 passengers the price was $135. After I received credit for my first two passengers I looked again and it was still $119. I had to call Jetblue a total of 4 times to get my credit. Very happy to report a credit of $119 :) .

I'm always checking so will be checking your flight also. When are your return flights? ..lol.

Mary

It is Official!!!!

President George Bush Won :cheer2:

I am excited and relieved!!

Ok, Election is over now.....Thanks goodness...I was getting tired of those political commercials!!

Let's back to regular programming ....

We're flying Jetblue Flt.48, 12:25pm, back to JFK. What about you?...Mark

PS- Where in Queens are you? I was born and raised in Rockaway, and Sandra's from Ozone Park.

I'm not sure if anyone is planning to spend some time in Orlando after the cruise, but for those who are thinking about doing Universal, they are offering Entertainment book discounts at the on-site hotels. Someone posted a rate of 119.00 for the Royal Pacific Hotel, and you get the added benefit of "Front of the Line" status at their parks...Mark

Hello everyone, I just got a call from Disney Cruise Line's Group Specialist. I had faxed a request for a place for our Dis meet and they offered us 3 choices.

Choice 1- Rockin' Bar D (holds 275 people)
Choice 2- Studio C (holds 292)
They can have a bartender available if we want

Choice 3- Walt Disney Theatre- No bar service available

They'd like a headcount, yeah right, so they can schedule our meet and hold the room for us...Mark

I suggested Sunday morning about 10-11am. I told them that we have approx. 400+ people on our list, but that not all will attend.

Thanks, Mark! We're likely a group of 3 attending (especially if there's BINGO around the same time that the seniors will have to attend. LOL

Arlene

I vote for a bartender, that way those who want to start early in the day can, and those who don't won't have to.

We stood in line for 2 hours to vote here in Ohio. Luckily, it worked out and Bush won.

I vote for the bartender. Mimosa anyone?

can't wait to see DL for the 1st time!

Mark,

We're on the same return flight so I will definitely let you know if I see a decrease in the fares.

Such a small world--I'm in College Point. Born and raised in Corona.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

Is there extra cost to use those rooms?? How far advance do they need a headcount?? Are you going to find out about the dining seating arrangement?? I could, but i would have to ask my DH to do it for my since i will have trouble hearing on the phone. I am sure my DH won't mind, he'll do anything i ask him to do!!LOL!! Let me know!! I know you are doing alot already...Anything i can be of help....

Mark - Count the 3 of us in for this.

Thanks for doing this.

Reneé

Count us in for the meet too - 2 people :)

Heh -- are there any formal plans for a meet at HOJO's since they are nice enough to offer us a room.

My sister & I are planning on flying in on the 17th (prob. that same Jet Blue flight - everyone else is catching at 7:05 AM out of JFK).

It's incredible the amount of information you get from this group. Farechase.com saved us a fortune flying out to SF in a couple of weeks.

Mark,

Erica...We will definitely work on that later!!!

OOOPS. forgot..
Count us 4, Maybe 6...Not sure if my parents will come...I think they have a fear of D & N going on!!! LOL!!!

MARK:

The Dismeet is a great idea. Count us in -- three (myself, DD and DH). Let us know the final details. Thanks.

We're on vacation for goodness sake!! You should be on your third drink by 10:00am !! ;) ...Mark

bmwdsny- no extra cost for the room. Maybe I should have asked!! She said that there's no rush for a headcount, that's why I'm starting now, but they won't allow an overcrowded situation to occur. I would think that most of the younger kids will probably prefer to be in the clubs, I know mine will. My guess is to hold it in one of the first 2 venues. Linking up dining won't be done by Group Specialists. This is something a TA can do for us.

DisneyElf- I'm flying out on the 19th not the 17th
