It might be less crowded in a lounge like the Promenade Lounge we went to for other DIS meets on the Magic and Wonder. I had been reading threads to see where other DIS groups met, and this is the first time anyone has mentioned a place. I even started a thread but there were no responses.

I totally agree that it will be less crowded and probably a little quieter so we can talk. I think a lounge(probably the Bon Voyage Lounge) will be the best place for a meet.

I will re-post all of the DIS Meet information later this week.

We are so close.... Not sure what the weather will be, but anything will be better than 100-104 everyday.

30 DAYS!!!!!
 :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: party: :jumping1:

Can you tell I'm getting excited?

I know what you mean. It's been HOT HOT HOT and HUMID here in Iowa. The last couple of days it's been in the high 90's and so humid it feels like 108 outside. At least on the ship if it's really hot there is usually a breeze to cool things off a little bit.

We are in Austin, Texas and everyday is a hot day!!!!!!! Up until Sunday of last week we had 12 straight days of 100 degrees, but we got a mild cool front so the temp dropped to 98!!!!!!! Our heat index is about 108. I would never give the heat up for snow, I admire those that live in cold climate. I get angry when the temp drops below 70. I am crazy!!!!

I know it's been hot in Texas, I've been seeing it on the news. My dad lives in the panhandle of Florida and he keeps telling me how hot is it there.

The snow and cold can be unbearable at times but we usually have beautiful summers. If we get into the 90's it is usually late August and usually only for a week or two. But this year we have had some very hot days and some very cool days for early summer. Heck, 2 weeks ago it was in the upper 60's. It's going back down into the 80's over the next couple of days so it should be pretty nice around here.

Stay cool!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!

28 DAYS!!!!

Busy weekend for everyone. We had fallen to the bottom of page 3.

Getting ready to head out to watch the neighborhood parade and then over to some friends house tonight for their annual 4th of July party and watch the fireworks. It's a beautiful day here in Iowa. Hope everyone has a great day!

Reminder: I'm closing out the Fish Extender Exchange tomorrow. I'll prepare a list, along with a guide for all the participants.

Have a good holiday to those in the U.S.

The sad thing is the local fireworks won't begin to compare to the ones on the ship or at WDW. I'll be singing "wishes" in my head.

22 days until my vacation starts!

Same here. WDW/DCL has wrecked all fireworks for us. ;)

I have to agree with both of you guys. As a matter of fact I just watched Wishes on youtube just so I could feel like I was at WDW.

Sometimes I watch the youtube videos from the 4th of July or New Year's Eve at WDW for the same reason, and I don't have to fight the crowd or parking either. :thumbsup2

First time in several years we have not been in wdw for 4th fireworks:sad2: did not think about watching them on you tube so thanks for posting that. I do however get to watch them while sitting on the beach in ocean city Maryland but they won't be the same. 4th fw at ml are awesome because of the patriotic music and because they utilize all of main street and they are mirrored over the water.

It was an awesome weekend, wasn't it? After a horribly hot Friday, I was scared the whole holiday would be like that, but fortunately, it cooled off nicely.

We had a low-key holiday. DH spent almost every waking minute working around our ponds outside, DD is trying to finish her online course "Western Civilization", and DS was going to get his driver's license, but we found out that the license office was closed on Saturday!

I got us all checked in online, and got a 12:00 - 12:30 arrival time. Not too bad, I guess, since they don't start until 11, but I really miss being able to get there by 9:30.

My DD is in OC for a few days but staying in Fenwick and then heading to Rehoboth for a few more days. I guess she will find her way home by the time we go on the cruise.

We were going to go watch them from our boat but there was no wind and it was hot. So since we live on a hill, we watched them from our deck.

Hope you had a good time.

Funny thing is that this year was the first time either of our children have been to OC. We've gone to Cape May. My DS went for senior week. Poor kids, their crazy parents keep taking them to WDW or cruises. :lmao:

Just watching a lifeboat from the Dream go towards the port in the water. I wonder where it is going? Fun to watch. I love the new web camera.

It just came back. Very interesting.

Watching her pull out of port now!! Soon this will be us!

Boy, it sure seems like it goes much faster on the ship. Maybe the bigger ship takes longer to pull away from the pier.

:bored:
