Just had a call at home from DCL that the excursion we had booked from La Spezia (the family friendly tour to Florence where the kids made their own fresco) has been cancelled Guess we will just do Pisa on our own...I'm looking at a bike tour there that sounds interesting, plus the tower climb.

I wouldn't go through everything, some of us have been on this website talking for over a year and half...most information can be found in the later pages. If you find the link to Pixie08's website...it list who has shared info about their family, the dis meet and some other stuff. I believe the meet is on the first sea day at 12 or 12:30.

Hi everyone -

I was playing on DCL's site today to see how booked our cruise is now that we're getting close!!! Cat's 11,10,9,8,7 and 6 are all in GTY right now. Cat 5 has 2 rooms left and cat 4 has 3. Also, main dining is all that's left for dining options. So it looks like our cruise is getting popular. Also, there is no cat 12 anymore for our sailing. I have seen it pop up time to time for the Aug 7th sailing and it's still available for the Aug 28th one.

Hope we like our Cat 10 - does not sound like much chance of an upgrade!

Aug 28: Fly back to Stuttgart at 12:30 (90 minutes!)
we should be back in the Biergarten by 6:00 pm on the 28th

Just to say, we are staying there too!!! and Settin Sail. I am going to get a price for a bus to collect us from the hotel in the morning, around 9.30/10.00am, straight to the port. We did it on our last cruise in June and it was so easy and convenient, dropping us right at the port entrance, bags taken directly off the bus by Disney.

The bus was great, had a trailer on the back for the bags.

PM me with how many and how many bags each, if you are interested, as I was going to contact the company over the weekend. I will get a price, split it per person and if you are interested book it on my credit card.

Shawn, I have you as a party of three, I will guess at two bags each! (just to be on the safe side!!!).

Kate - That is super... price is not too bad in my opinion / no longer offering the free breakfast $110 usd. We would like to see about the bus too! Party of 3 maybe 5 bags - we are trying hard for one each and maybe one extra bag for the trip home..

I am getting so excited guys...I can barely workI find myself drifting away to the Med somewhere. It's almost a month. I have only been planning this for a few months and I am getting so antsy, Mindy and Lori I can not even imagine how itchy you are lol!

Thanks for getting the quote Kate! That's exactly about the time we would like to head towards the port so sounds perfect. We will each have around 2 bags, prob 1 suitcase, 1 backpack each. We can only check one bag each on German Wings.

I am trying to access the excursion possibility that is planned in port. Is it possible to just walk out to taxis and hire one for the day? Has anyone done this? Is it safe? Especially with kids? How cost effective is it compating to hiring a rpivate driver in advance? I am thinking about doing it in all ports if possible.
One of the reasons I want to keep it flexible is because we have the freedom to choose to do what we want when we want. Another: trying to save some money. the cost of 500 for 5 is steep if we do it in several ports.
I really need some guidance.
