This years plans are starting to fall in to place
got a really good deal on flights and was able to get the Beach Club villas at the 7 month window yesterday
and we have our AP's from last year so no need to worry about tickets
put a depoist down on a 4 day cruise too but not to sure if we will do that or not yet , trying to keep the cost down or the big one next year
so not a question of the week but whats your plans for this year ?
Whew! FL in July/Aug? Hot or not.....I'm jealous! No WDW plans this year for us, but I am counting down to
Disneyland in something like 57 days! I haven't yet told DD, and I don't think I'm going to. We're flying from here down to LA, and my dad's meeting us down there and picking us up. Not only do I not want to her "are we leaving yet" for the next 2 months, I think that the DL experience is so different that I don't want her to get a pre-formed idea that it is anything like WDW.
So other that DL and the subsequent visit back to the Bay Area (originally from there), we're going to go to North Carolina in August. I have some family there that want to take DD own their own for a bit, so DH and I are going to drive the North and South Carolina coastline a bit. I've not spent much time down there, so I'm interested to explore Charleston and possibly Savannah. In addition, one of my best friends lives in Raleigh, and we're going to go visit with them a bit.
All other travels this year will be dependent on how much I work. I work as a nurse per-diem, and usually work 8-ish shifts per month. I've only been scheduled 3 shifts for Jan and Feb, as my boss hired a boat-load of people, and now there's very little to be had. So.....either I suck it up and wait for the eventual attrition, or I look for something else in addition. Not sure yet. If it weren't for that large cruise to pay for, I wouldn't even stress about it. Sigh...it all eventually works out in the end!
Speaking of the cruise, I got a DVD from the library the other day...an Italian instructive DVD aimed at kids. I haven't yet watched it, but DD has been so excited that I thought that some language immersion might be nice and educative!
