Dang, I just read that the Magic Fountains in Barcelona do not operate on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. This was from a tourism website and not the Magic Fountains official website, I can't get that to open.

Does anyone know if this is correct info? I was really looking forward to seeing that

YAY! I checked first thing this morning and we got upgraded to a Cat9 #2644. It is only 10 or so doors down from our last cruise so at least we know we will be happy in that room.

Our last cruise we forgot to check where the room was and just presumed that we had been given a Cat12 like we booked. What a surprise it was when we saw the window when we entered the room. I thought we had gone in the wrong room and that it was all a mistake

I hate the random upgrade thing too - we have spent thousands on Disney cruises and Disney parks and someone going on first cruise could get better upgrade than we do?

I would hope that they did take in to consideration if you have been on previous cruises with them or not. It wouldn't be fair to someone who had taken 5+ cruises to not get an upgrade and then a new cruiser to be.

I am not really sure how Disney decides who to upgrade but I have read on the Disboards that it is totally random. Does not matter if you've cruised before, booked with TA or through Disney, book early or late, etc. Most say it is really rare to get upgraded. I should be happy with what we got but a Cat 9 would be so much better Just a window somewhere, anywhere like others have been upgraded to...

Anyway, I cancelled several of the excursions I had booked through Disney this morning and that made me feel better.

We went to the town parade today. DD gave up a chance to ride on DH's fire truck so that she could collect candy given away during the parade. Kids!

We have a "Holland Happenings" parade the last week in August (the town has Dutch history), and oddly (because of the Dutch history), we have a St. Patrick's Day parade. We don't even have an irish pub!

Settin sail. Yes the mess was for you it was typed late at nightand my brain wasn't in gear. I will let you know when I get a price. I am not sure my friends will go now. Only they kept putting off booking and when I saw her on fri. Was going to do it over the weekend. However I see the gty 12 at that great price are gone now. I am waiting to hear from her now. It will be a shame I'd she has missed out but not having done a Disney cruise she has no idea of what she is missing. Fingers crossed she may be able to swing it!

Hi Kate, I was on the DCL website Friday and saw the Cat 12's were gone and I wondered if that would affect your friend's decision to book. Hope it works out, it would be so much fun to sail with your friends.

Have you watched any more WC matches? Son & I are now watching in US,
can not believe the huge victory that Germany pulled over Argentina and the
Brazil-Netherlands game. Hubby said the Germans celebrated all night, riding around for hours honking their car horns. We put on our German car flag for awhile but we were getting some strange looks and we felt wierd so we took it down! It is 4th of July weekend over here after all

Rome - Tour of the Vatican, etc. with my disfriends!
Florence / Pisa - Tour of Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc. with my disfriends!
Corsica - Nothing (i.e. day on the ship)
Villefranche - St. Tropez (still working out details for this one!)

I can't wait to meet all of you!! Funny, we get back from the cruise on Saturday, August 28 and my son starts school on Monday, August 30 (LOL!). I'll be taking another 3 days off work to recover from my vacation!

Hello I am Amy and single mom to DD (11) and DD (9). We're from Toronto, Canada. We booked Cat 12 gty and just found out that we are currently upgraded to room 2606 (Cat 9). I am cautiously excited but I am keeping this from the kids since I know things can change. I didn't expect to be upgraded since we are 2nd time cruisers and a party of 3. Let's hope this holds.

We have 3 more ports to plan - Tunis, Naples and Rome. I will probably get a private tour for Rome. Nothing at Tunis jumps out at me - maybe something that include Si Bou Said (sp?). Naples - Pompeii is interesting and so is Mt Vesuvius although I don't know whether both are too much of a workout for them.

I hope dds can make some friends this trip. Last time we were seated at dinner with 2 college students and their mom and my girls were a little disappointed that they weren't their age.

I am looking forward to meeting this group. If anyone know whether I need to register somewhere do let me know. I am sure this info in one of the 120 something pages - just wish I have time to read them all.

Thrilled here too. We got 2641 - a deluxe inside from GTY 12. Couldn't be happier, we deliberatly don't want an outside room as I like to fool my little girl into thinking it's still night time. That way we get to sleep in beyond seven in the morning and she can stay up to watch the shows at night. Not long to go now x
