Fish Extenders

Ok - if there is enough interest in doing FE gifts - I will keep a list. However, the list is only as good as the information provided. So, what I need is the cabin number and the first names of the people in the cabin. If kids are involved, then their age would also be nice. If you don't want to include first names of the kids, then at least include their ages.

So - I'll start the list here

We haven't cruised in a few years and on our last cruise the FE thing wasn't quite as big as it is now. Can someone explain to me what it's all about?

Fish Extenders are whatever each person whats it to be. People usually make small "fun" gifts, or small disney items, or candy, or whatever. Some people will give one item for the cruise. Others will give small items on several days. It is whatever each person wants it to be. Some people will mark the item with their disboard name, other won't. It's just a fun thing to come back to your room and find something in your fish extender.

In order to participate, you need to get on the list, put something on your room fish (it's the fish outside your room door that disney uses for messages) - that's why it's called a fish extender - to hold the goodies, and have fun with it.

Many people get really really personal and creative with their hangers. Mine is simply a fisherman's net. I usually bring something from home, instead of from Disney. I will NOT bring little sample bottles of Maple Syrup from New England again. nope. Learned from that one I did.

Kpros, if you could add me and my children it would be great. We are still in GTY status and I don't think we will get out of it for a while. Mac, DS19, and DD13

Gal, she will be SO excited!!!! Thank you so much, and we will look for it! I think when we went in December, she was so anxious to make friends, but "everyone already knew each other!" and the counselors try and let the kids be themselves, that she had expectations of Christmas morning, or something. I dunno, they are SO hormonal and friends based at that age.

So, I hope I don't have to pay for extra luggage weight bringing so much stuff down, now that my daughter is making this FE. lol

I am going to try to pack as light as I possibly can. Yikes!

heck yeah! It's completely shocking! One reason I like Southwest. We normally bring just a carry on each; the kids are good about packing.

Southwest isn't one that Disney does check in or bagage service for. But we have always used Southwest. You can check in via the on board computers - it only take a minute so the charge isn't very much.

So you will have to carry your bags and check them in at the airport yourself? Disney will pick them up from the airport and transport them to the ship for you though, correct?

The reason why I am asking is my daughter is going to be flying in on Southwest for the cruise right before this one. I got her transfers through Disney.

I told her that her bags would probably get transported to the ship, but she will have to carry them back to the airport herself after the cruise.

Hope I was correct.
