I just read something interesting on the Aug 23 thread. They are proposing to have the DIS meet right after the life boat drill in the Promenade Lounge. Someone suggested that if the group wanted to "meet" further, that it be continued on Deck 9 during the sail-away party. Thoughts?

Also - last call for adding names to ThreeCircles' list! I'm almost done with the nametags ... I just have the last page to print and there's room on there for a few more! Thanks!

That time and location option is listed in our Dis Meet Vote. In fact, the "Promenade Lounge - immediately after the Life Boat Drill" option is winning by large margins right now.

As for continuing the meet afterwards, I'm sure that many groups of Disers will congregate up to the Sail Away Celebration.

Same on our cruise Jason, I put it up to a vote for the DISmeet location. We have 8 votes for Promenade Lounge, 0 votes for Topsiders, and 3 votes for either one is fine, with the suggestion of going up to the Sail Away Party and continue up there. I guess the A/C is winning people over!!! I wonder if that has anything to do with the Florida heat and humidity???

I think this is a consideration Andy. That, and the availability of those tropical drinks at the lounge!

I second that "Thank-you", Jason. Having that wonderful website makes planning so much easier. I check the weather often, and get a little panicky when I get to the Cozumel weather. "Temp 99, feels like 114!!!" Yow! Thank goodness for ac.

Hey Disney 3144, I see you have only three more days to go. You guys must be excited. Are you packed and sitting by the door? LOL!

We are down to 9 days till we leave. We're leaving here on Thursday, the 14th. DH is counting down work days (only 4 more for him).

It's actually been a lot of fun working on the site and, as mad4themouse said, getting to know a little bit about the others that we will be sailing with!

I'm sitting here waiting for my new suitcase to be delivered. Tonight I will officially start packing (putting all the stuff that is piled up inside the suitcase). I'm getting my hair done at 3:00. DS got his new camcorder today (because he demolished his old one last month by taking it outside after I told him he shouldn't - lesson learned the hard way).

Only 10 days to go until we leave. I'm going to call the car company and make our ride reservations to and from the airport now.

Yes only 10 days but still so much to do !!!
I don't know about others but for us , after countless days of preparing and planning and buying stuff, it feels like everytime we say "that's it we are ready" we think of something we did not think of before

I've had the wonderful privilege of adding another party to our August 16th Disney Cruise List site!


However, I have run into considerable problems in updating the August 16th Disney Cruise List site hosted by 0catch. For this reason, I have transferred the site to another host for the time being. You can access this new address through the old web site at http://disneycruiseaug16.0catch.com .

Yes Hannosmom, we are DEFINATELY excited here. I have been packed for the last 3 months.... With all the last minute things that need to get done, I'm hoping these last few days will go by quickly.

Argggh! You are so far ahead of me! I don't have a single item set aside for packing yet. I haven't even started a "to do" list! We just got back from a week at the Jersey Shore and I'm still digging out from the pile of sandy laundry!

DS's suit pants need to be hemmed and the waistband needs a new hook and eye. (I love to sew but I hate to do the hand stitching).

Both kids need haircuts. I got mine done before we went to Wildwood. DH is on his own.

DD needs some dress shoes. Too bad her feet aren't the same size as mine! We could share. Maybe in another year...

I need to confirm hotel, flight times and car ressies. Got to remember to pay some bills early to avoid any late fees. Remember to cancel the newspaper and arrange for mail to be held.

Need to make a shopping list for last minute items. Need to make a packing list. Need to make that "to do" list. What am I doing online? I'd better get busy!

We just got back from a week at the Jersey Shore

My sympathies on your week at the shore. This weather has been so miserable. I can't wait to see some sun. Our town pool overflowed 2 days ago because we had so much rain.

I still need to iron DS's dress shirt and pack the beach stuff (I'm hoping to get maybe 1 more day at the pool before we leave).
