August 16th Western

This seems to be the concensus. Perhaps that's because we're all going to be on the Disney Magic in 19 short days!!!!

Jennifer:

I see this is your first Disney Cruise. You are going to love it so much.

This is our 4th and it is just as exciting as the first one. My son who is now 16 made friends on our first cruise and the kids try to come back the same time every year. They keep in touch through out the year and count down the days together.

On our last cruise all the friends that my son and niece made came back and it was like a reunion cruise for them. There was 15 of them in all. That says a lot for Disney that all those family's would come back again.

2001 was our last cruise, it was my niece's second cruise and my son's third, when we drove over bridge and saw the ship the kids were so excited that they were screaming, my niece started crying and she was 16 at the time.

I am checking off the days on my calendar until we leave.

Lynr....Thanks. I just can't wait. I think I'm more excited than the kids. I'm glad to hear that your DS enjoyed his past cruises. That is one thing that I am worried about...my DSS17. He doesn't think there will be anyone his age to"hang" out with. I told him about your son. Let's hope my DSS17 will not be a misserable teenager the whole time.;) Maybe just half the time. (Talk about mood swings)

Jennifer:

Once your son gets to Common Grounds you won't see him the whole cruise. I make my son get together with us for dinner and pictures. The Common Grounds leaders really keep the kids busy and they have a great time.

My son's name is Matt what is your son's I will tell Matt to keep an eye out for him.

Matt is book on the Fury Catamaran Teen Cruise in Cozumel is your son doing that? We tried to get on it every year and it always seems to be cancelled for some reason. I hope this year they get to go.

Lyn

Lyn...My sons name is Joe. He is not booked for the fury catamaran yet. He's "not sure" what he wants to do. I keep telling him it's going to be fun, but I don't think he believes me. I'll keep on trying.

Now I have got a predicament, and I need advice. We are in a category 6 and there a three of us. My son's friend wanted to go but when I called the cruiseline there weren't any rooms available that would hold 4 and they said the cruise was booked. I just got an email that there are some category 11's available and if I put one adult in that room we could do it and my son's friends parents said they would pay. Which I never would allow except my husband had 6 months out of work last year and it put a strain on our finances.

Here comes the problem, my son now tells me he really doesn't want his friend to go because it might drag him down on the cruise to have to worry about someone else. What should I do? He has already got his friend all excited about the cruise. I am just waiting to hear from DU on the price. I personally think he should just take his friend. My my life will be hell if he is not happy on the cruise.

Teenagers drive me crazy.

Thanks for the reply BD. Our flight gets in at around noon. We don't really have anything planned for the day, so I imagine we'll check in to the Radisson as soon as possible. Does anyone know if we can leave our luggage at the hotel before check in? I don't like to leave the luggage in the car while we go shopping. If it all fits in the trunk I don't mind, but that's not likely to happen.

That doesn't happen to be negative by any chance, does it? I'm just saying this because I am a teenager going on the 16th cruise!

The crazy comment was meant with only loving intentions.

I think we were all a little "crazy" when we were teenagers.

It just seems to be part of the process of becoming "crazy" adults!!! :D

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know about this neat little freeware program that I found while waiting for my last Disney Cruise.

It basically works just as the countdown timers on the Dis Board do. However, this one can be set up to be on your PC desktop. That way, you'll always see how close the cruise is getting!

The site: http://www.timeleft.info/

Oh my gosh! Just love the timer. I even have it down to the second. Time really flies that way! Thanks guys!

I use Disneytime - but I don't remember where I got it from.

It gives days hours minutes seconds and Disney trivia.

Starwood--

That would go GREAT with my Disney Magic wallpaper on my desktop!

:D

Thanks for finding and posting the program Starwood! Can't wait to open it and see what it's like.

Knowing me, I'll have 4 or 5 countdowns on my desktop before long!!!

Let's see... One counting down to graduation... One counting down to the August 16th Cruise... One counting down to my next DCL cruise! ;)

Yiiiiiipppppeeeeee

Yes even way up north, we finally received our documents:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

It's our first cruise so to be quite honest, i didn't think it was that exciting just to receive some papers...wow, was i wrong

I guess that it is official now WE ARE READY TO SET SAIL!!!

See you all very very soon...
