August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 3

Well, my fun times with my family came to an abrupt end on Wednesday when we were in a car accident. Thankfully, there 3 kids in the car and they were not hurt. Our car was considered a total loss which is a shame. I, on the other hand, seemed to have gotten all of the injuries. I broke my arm in several places. The bone came out in one section. I had to have it cleaned out and then will have to have surgery on it later this week. I told the surgeon we had to get all fixed up by the cruise.

WOW! That is horrible and I hope that you recover quickly! I am relieved that it wasn't any worse though...now take care of it so that you are doing well by the cruise!

Alexa ate Mac and Cheese and rice every meal! They never even bothered to ask what she wanted, they just brought it right to her every night LOL.

Desserts, now that's a whole different story, we ate A LOT of those!! One night I had a hard time deciding, and finally picked one, and the waiter brought me both anyway. And another night dh ordered two for me. Yummy!

Our server asked every night and tried so hard to convince Emily to try new things but by the end just looked at her and smiled when she ordered the chicken nuggets!

I am planning on order at least 2 desserts EVERY night!

I know that I am so late but just found this board. We are obviously DCL newbies! We are sailing the 16th as well and can't wait! I am quickly adding posts so I can PM Jen regarding the 8/16 cruise. I am traveling with my DH, DD who is 6 and DS who is 11. We will be at the Beach Club the week before.

We sent Bruce out to get bagels this morning and a lady hits him.I am telling you we need a vacation and NOW!!

Oh no Kristin!!! That is terrible!!! I hope the damage is not too bad. Glad that Bruce is ok!
We are still dealing with our accident from our trip. The lady who hit us is claiming that we were both at fault! How can I be at fault when I wasn't even moving?? So we are trying to get them to pay for our damage. It's about $1,900 worth.

Ohh my gosh. I am soo sorry to hear about your accident. Please keep us posted on your surgery!!

They were amazing!!! I wish Wilson still worked for DCL. They didn't even have rice most nights for dinner, but they always had it anyway. They also had to go elsewhere for soy sauce, but once they figured it out, it was always ready for her too!

We'll be at Beach Club Sunday-Monday. I will be parked in a beach chair at Stormalong Bag both days. Hope to take advantage of movie and smores at night and a stroll around the Boardwalk at night. It's going to be a very casual two days. My DS just turned 12 last week.

We'll be staying across the lake at Board Walk Villas. Hope your children will enjoy Storm Along Bay, the whirlpool, the slide and the sandy play area are great. We'll probably pass by to see the Big screen movie and do the campfire with smores at the beach, who knows we may bump into each other. We'll be there 8/13- 8/16.

Oh no! So sorry you have to go through this, but how thankful that the kids and you are ok. Cars can be replaced. Hope you are on the mend soon!

I do this too! Hopefully the new sampler desserts will satisfy my desire to try a bunch of sweets without rolling out of the restaurant every night.

We are headed out for a nice morning run soon. Today will be a bit of cleaning, a bit of working on schoolwork (from home thankfully), a bit of working on vacation plans and then DS's choir sings at the Twins baseball game tonight. It should be a good time with some nice weather!

Hi all! Spent a wonderful day in NYC yesterday - though we did see some "interesting" sights yesterday .

DS (Tim) and I leave for Florida tonight. Not a Disney trip - it's a school (FBLA) conference. Staying near the Orlando Convention Center, but will be making a pilgrimage to WDW to pick up a few gifts for those not coming along for this trip!! Probably going to do Universal and possibly Sea World. It's amazing the ticket prices that are offered through convention services - HUGE discounts.

Hope Bruce is doin' better after that accident. When I first read your post (I scan them quickly sometimes when I'm behind!!), I thought he was actually "hit" by some woman - like beaten by hand or something I was like "why would someone hit him"?!
