Hi everyone!

Just introducing myself! I'm Amanda, and I'm Mjasp's daughter. I am sooooo excited about this cruise. I can't stop reading trip reports and looking at pictures!:yay:

Nice to meet you all! :)

Hi WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a GREAT trip report!!

Wife and I were on the Dream 3/10 three night sailing but we didn't have the kids with us and had a different experience for sure than we usually have (for example, we didn't eat a single meal in any of the rotation restaurants)

The excitement is building for our return to the Dream with the kids.

We originally booked 12504 (V) but got a call off the wait list offering 11020 (T)

The kids can't wait to check out the new kids club areas and aquaduck!

So did you take the T?? If so CONGRATS!!

This is my favorite one so far. It has SO much information and so many pictures! You guys may have already seen it though... it has the most views of all the TRs on the TR board by far!

THANKYOU Amanda ! :goodvibes
I have seen it time ago - but had no time to read it through....

It will be my special treat THIS Sunday afternoon .............. after some :laundy: ............

Whom are you travelling with ?
Are you staying at WDW before or after the cruise ?

How exciting !!! :thumbsup2:goodvibes

What are your considerations about Remy ??? :cool1: How is service ?
:) Have you liked PALO more than its "brother-restaurants" on the other Disney ships ??
Is there ;) enough ... elbows space among tables ? Any booth ?

CIAO , laura :goodvibes

Yes, we took the T. I didn't want to have all 5 of us in one standard size room with one tiny shower and no access to verandah when sofa bed opened. Space-wise it makes more sense to have 2 cabins but we really wanted concierge. The V we had booked was the only concierge room left at the time. I went on a booking spree in January. We had our almost here Western cruise booked over a year ago and then I wound up booking 4 more cruises in a few week period. (long story) I'm just glad it worked out getting the T which is our ideal space :)

Remy was the best meal I had in my life so far. The whole experience, from the absolute freshness of the ingredients, to the artistic presentation and pairing of the flavors, to the impeccable service. We did dine once at V&A back in 1998 and I also remember it being fantastic but its pretty remote and hard to compare.

The lady gets a little stool to place her handbag if she has one. If the lady needs to use the restroom, a staff member escorts her to and from. As in V&A, the lady gets a long stem rose at the end of dinner (red if part of a couple and pink if not). They give you a personalized printed menu card listing what you had at the end as well. There is a thank you card waiting for you in your cabin with one last treat from Remy, a small box with 4 hand made truffles. Chef Patrick Albert comes out to greet each diner.

We sat in a very cozy semicircular booth that my wife really liked.

They think of everything. During coffee service, they provide you with WARMED cream. I can go on and on.....

Palo was great too but no Remy. We didn't see to much of the restaurant layout though as we were seating right as we walked in at a small table right by a window with great view. The second night we had the same server and same table but I did scan the room and see booths. The second night at Palo, our server Safet said he wanted to do something special for us and we basically had a "best of Palo tasting menu" as he called it (maybe it was the generous gratuity we gave him the night before but I knew we were coming back the following night so...)

I enjoy multiple small portions of different things to try - so the second night at Palo and Remy really were perfect in that regard. You can order whatever you want at Palo but I feel bad leaving and wasting that food.

I also like that at Palo they now prepare your antipasti plate table side.

I am rambling.....

AWESOME, CONGRATS, glad that it worked our for you. That is the type of room we wanted too but when we made the switch to concierges it was not available..

I highly suggest you go on the wait list for a T if you want one. Twice so far I have been able to upgrade off the wait list for rooms that I wanted. We are far enough out that full payments aren't due yet. Also, once DCL announces their plans for Magic / Wonder (hopefully soon) there may be folks who change their cruise plans so its worth a try!

:worship::worship::worship: Thankyou for all the info !!!
REMY does look wonderful !!! I love those little touches , like the rose & personalized menu !! I recall that attentive , professional yet friendly service from our visit to V&A , we had the CHEF's TABLE and it was a truly superb experience !!! :dance3:

We are not looking forward to Palo very much - as we have eaten there plenty of times during our past cruises ( had the same excellent server at least 4 times !!) ... Besides WE live in Northern ITALY ;) so their "wonderful" food doesn't particularly appeal to us ...:rolleyes1 Sometimes I can "see" that the mushrooms aren't the best quality we get HERE ... or the ossobuco was a little overdone .... :headache::headache::headache: Sorry , sometimes we ITALIANS are a bit picky ....

BUT we always had a good experience at PALO as well !!!

:flower3: THANKS for sharing !!! laura

Thanks, I will try that. I think since I am booked with a TA I will have do it through her.

I sure hope the Magic and Wonder announce soon. Still hoping for NYC!!:):thumbsup2

I had no plans to go to Remy's, but I just read what you wrote to my husband and he said, Oh we "have" to try Remy. Thanks LOL
Don't know if I'd like someone coming to the ladies room with me though.

Sorry but, I have to ask what's a T and V? I can't figure it out. :)

I really want to try Remy, especially after what you said. I'm a picky eater and my husband eats everything. Do you think I would be able to get a chicken or steak dish?

Thanks,
Kim :)

Are you staying at WDW before or after the cruise ?

I'll be with my mom (Mjasp here on the boards), my dad, my boyfriend, my sister, and my sister's friend.

The rest of my family is flying down the day before and not doing any parks or anything, but my boyfriend and I are thinking about flying down the Friday before and having a few days at the parks. If we do, we'll either stay at ASMu (our old favorite) or Pop (to try something new) since we're college students on a budget. :)

Between our usual busy life and my Mom's surgery ... I am obviously :upsidedow:upsidedow:upsidedow !!!!!!!!!!

for organizing the FE for all of us !!!

Sorry but, I have to ask what's a T and V? I can't figure it out. :)

T and V are CONCIERGE accomodations !! luxury staterooms with lots of perks , like they book all of your reservations for onboard activities and also ashore adventures ...
I guess category V are FAMILY rooms , while T rooms are 1 bedroom suites !!

Ciao !! :wave2: laura

PS I guess you can ask for EVERYTHING at REMY !! Maybe you'll find on the Menu something "delicious" that you decide at the moment ;) you HAVE to try it !!!

A "V" is basically a deluxe family stateroom (306 sq ft) with concierge benefits and dressed up a little but still has one bathroom and small round shower.

A "T" is a one bedroom suite with 622 sq ft, 2 bathrooms, 2 showers

Remy has currently 5 "meat" options being australian waygu beef, smoked bison, a pigeon pastry puff, a veal and a pork dish ... the menu can be found online. They don't have a chicken dish. The food is going to be "interesting" and "different" than 99.9% of people are used to having ... that being said, it is so delicious!! We cleaned our plates to the point they look unused!:lmao:

I will look up the menu and see how the Waygu beef is served. :)
Thanks so much!!!
