I think before we cruise they will have the concierge gate thing figured out they have heard the complaints and are working on it. I bet it is going to be taken down!!

It will make the FE thing much more manageable !!!!

and I know that will love to be able to pass by and ... leave a small bag on your room door !!!

It's nice to know that "Disney" is listening to our complaints ...

It's been a while since I posted although I've been guilty of lurking along...:confused



Janeanne, Jen and I (and our families) will be at the POP starting on the 24th. Will you still be there? The Princess is on the 27th - at 6AM . The route is from Epcot to Magic Kingdom (through the castle!) and then back to Epcot.
I've heard such wonderful things about the WL!!
Have a terrific time!

I am jealous!! I wish we were going!! But please NO MORE SNOW! I can finally see much Christmas decorations on my lawn. Driving around its a mixture of Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day and Christmas decorations on so many of the houses!! I hope it is only a dusting and you fly out without an issue!

We are sailing with one 8 year old boy, (2) 12 year old boys, and (1) 13 year old

Four families with kids.

(we also have an almost 5 girl, a girl turning 6 on the cruise, a 11 and 12 year old girl, (2) 14 year old girls and (1) 15 year old girl.


My son is already complaining that EDGE doesn't look like there's much to do. I guess he'll be spending a lot of time up on the sports deck. He loved playing fuseball and ping pong last cruise. The sports simulators look cool too.

Evening everyone - life has been really busy so I am sorry I have missed so many posts. I did go back and read all of it though. Several comments....

WELCOME to the new families! It is great to have people checking in.

ICEMAN - Thanks for being open and upfront about the other thread. I understand that you guys have cruised together and have reasons for why you started your thread.

I will say to the whole group that I am a bit uncomfortable being in charge of our website at this point. It has nothing to do with the work. It is more to do with the fact that with all the separate threads, I feel conflicted. I have read through all of the other threads that are running. I will admit that in one of the threads, I do feel that there are offensive comments made.

I really am not sure what to do about the website at this point. In some ways I feel it should be open to everyone and in other ways, I feel like I don't feel like maintaining a site where some people feel that some of us on this thread have "sappy, sticky, sweet fakeness".

I am just being honest about it all and hope that no one is offended by that. I have always loved being a part of a group that plans a wonderful vacation together and I am just a bit baffled by how to be the keeper of the website when we have all of this going on.

Jen, I hope you continue with the website. It is very informative and great seeing the people that we will be cruising with. Thank you for al you have done and will continue to do.

That being said....I feel totally fortunate to have made such wonderful friends from our past cruise that are here with me again. I feel lucky to have "met" so many new wonderful people. I hope that this just resolves itself but for now...the website is going to sit "as is" for a couple of weeks (I am going to Disney and won't be around anyways).

I will be leaving on Tuesday for an incredible WDW vacation with Jude's family and will run the Princess Half on the 27th.

Hi Julie!! My DD will be almost-12 at cruise time (early Sept birthday). She is so excited for the tween club. And I'd love to hear about your MED and Baltic cruises - gosh, would love to do one of those!!! This is our first non-7 day cruise. But it's our third double dip so we're happy about that!

Work has been crazy, but I finally got a chance to catch up on the posts from the past few days. I spent some time last weekend and this week planning our post-cruise WDW stay and ADRs so our TA can book them for us. We also moved our reservation from AKL to the Poly post cruise just for something different. We got a PIN offer which helped with the price.

Please send us some pixie dust that my DS (who will be 7 1/2 on this cruise) grows almost 2 inches between now and our cruise, as he's currently just over the 46 inch mark as of his last physical. He really wants to ride the duck!

There is an interesting thread on the main board stating that the rest of the 2012 Fantasy have been released by DCL ... but it isn't on their website so you need to call them. Here are the stops and sail dates....

7 night Eastern with stops to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and CC on sail dates:Sep 8,22, Oct 2,20 and then stops at San Juan, St. Thomas and CC on Nov 3, 17, DEC 1, 15 and 29 of 2012

7 night Western with stops to Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel and CC on Sept 1, 15,29; Oct 13, 27, Nov 10,24 and Dec 8 and 22 of 2012.

We moved one of our August 2012 dummy bookings to the 11/17/12 Thanksgiving Eastern cruise w/San Juan. We moved up two subcategories and only had to pay and additional $15 deposit, so the prices were pretty close, for a holiday cruise.

Like I said, we don't want to offend anyone ...it's just that posts on FB go into group, but also appear on your own pages and get some pretty odd comments from the rest of your friends who have no idea what all the disboards abbreviations mean...anyway, I will likely continue to cross post..

No offense here either. I have set up a group on FB for our friends who are travelling with us (though anyone is welcome to join) since they are not on the DIS. But, don't be a stranger. I really enjoy getting to "meet" people before the cruise, so, tell your friends to stop by and say hello too.

I was going to ask if there is a FB group for this cruise, then I saw the 2nd post about a FB group. For the Fantasy MV cruise, they've set up a private FB group which is working okay at the moment.
