The ice was pretty bad here this morning (Northern Philly burbs) but better now (just raining, not sleet or freezing rain).

The next storm isn't predicted until Saturday...so he should be able to fly out on Friday!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got a call from Superintendant that school is cancelled for Thursday. This time as a precautionary measure that the schools are deemed safe (we had a building collapse last night, but not a school). I guess they're going to make sure the snow's off all the roofs before they let the kids back in the buildings. I am going CRAZY here!

I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys!!! I feel bad....I mailed the birthday cards to the girls on Monday and I know they are never going to make it there in time for their birthday. They will have to be there waiting for them when you come home. Tell them I am sorry I was so busy!

Snow day #8 for us; two days off April break. We're all going a little stir crazy. Kids are on each others nerves. Jim is working from home which doesn't help (have to keep the noise down when he's on the phone). I need a haircut so bad but don't know when to schedule one because we've been getting foul weather 2-3 times a week.

I am so sorry for you guys. While a day or two off would be nice, you are right about going stir crazy! I think you should turn the heat up in the house, put on vacation clothing, play Disney music and dream about vacation!

Hello Laura! It has been such a busy week that I have not had a chance to send any long letters to keep you entertained on the subway to work. Hopefully this weekend I can catch up.

Ice this morning was really bad! Walking was worse than driving! I have been very unlucky and have been scheduled to work every storm so far. Hospitals don't close for snow! Kids only had a 2 hour delay, so we are still within our alotted snow days. But I have had enough of winter, and it can really leave now!

On a happier note, our pre and post cruise plans have been made. Vero Beach for 4 nights before and Beach Club Villas for 2 nights after! Yeah! I don't think we are going to do the parks, maybe a water park and just enjoy what the resorts have.


Still have 2 work on airfare and rental car..

I agree with your students...I think I was born in the wrong place too. I've been obsessed with Italy all my life. My parents could never explain it but they said the obsession started when I was very little. I loved everything Italian...So, as you can imagine when I could start learning Italian, I quickly jumped at the chance. I took 4 years in high school and then majored in it college.

Now, I am trying to teach my DD 5 some Italian. I would read to her in Italian when she was a baby. It gave me a chance to keep it fresh in my mind.

We had serious ice yesterday...no delay. My car was encased in an ice cube when I went out!

This morning...ice again but a 2 hour delay for the kids and me! Dh took care of the car, but I'm sure it was the same or worse than yesterday!

I've been working from home more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the last FOUR years I have been working at my job! I'm actually kind of sick of it!

Working hard on our park plans. Have only decided on two definite ADRs (1900 Park Fare and 50'sPTC) have to decide on three more.

I'm thinking that two will need to be in/near Epcot and one can be almost anywhere (AK day...park closes at 6pm).

I have picky eaters so I'm still combing the menus. My goal is to try new places so it has been a challenge to not rely on our standbys!

May do the new restaurants in Mexico and Italy..but not sure yet.

1900 PF is a family favorite, and the kids have never been to 50's PTC...but the other three none of us have gone to!

I'm pretty excited about not going to the same restaurants we always go to!

Just heard from a friend (who attend BOE meeting tonight). They have cancelled our February vacation and left April for now (unless more snow days). Not sure what they'll do about those who have vacations planned.

More snow in the forecast for Saturday (at least we won't miss any school if it falls over the weekend)

Myself and DGH try and keep up with English reading as much as we can and also watching lots of movies in English !! I know how isn't easy at all "to keep a language" fresh ... when you don't speak it every day !

Hi all, been out of touch, as usual!!

Welcome to any newcomers I may have missed.

Wow, the snow days you all get, I can't even imagine. Here we get snowstorm upon snowstorm and no one blinks. It just takes us 2 hours to drive home. But at least we don't have snow days to make up.

We just got back on Wed from our trip, we had an amazing time! The weather was just unreal, warmer than average and sunny every day! And I have to tell my cute story.

My friend (a first timer) was taking pics of a fountain, so Alexa and her friend leaned over the rail to look into the water. I was digging through my bag for something when I hear a mail voice right next to my daughter say "isn't it beautiful", very dramatic. I am thinking, who is this creep and why is he hitting on my 15 year old!!! I look up, and almost die, it was Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid. He just came up and leaned on the rail and started a conversation with my daughter. It was unreal!!! I was so excited, I could hardly get my camera out of my bag. And he was so cute!!!!!

That was our best character meeting ever!
