Do you know the reason for the height requirement change?! 54" - that's big time roller coaster minimum heights!!??

Friday's episode of the PassPorter Mom's Podcast is all about the Dream.

Jennifer sailed on both the Christening cruise (with her 6yo son) and the Maiden Voyage and Sara sailed on the second or third sailing (I can't keep track who was on what sailing anymore).

They discussed the change in height requirement on the podcast. Apparently the smaller kids were getting stuck in the AquaDuck! ...so now they are having the smaller kids pair up with someone else to avoid it.

Sounds reasonable to me!

Gina, I live about an hour from MB. It's hard to tell about the weather. We've had some crazy, cold weather this year. We've even had snow, which is very unusual for us! So, it might be warm enough to go to the beach, I think the water will be too cold to swim. There is minature golf, Ripley's aquarium (At Broadway at the Beach), shopping (outlet malls), so there is stuff to do. We like to ride down there for the day and shop, eat, etc. there are other things to do at Broadway too. Last time we were there I saw they had added a zipline and a rope maze thing. It looked fun, but we didn't get to try it. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks. We haven't made any decisions yet, but our friends are beach people so I don't know if that would work for them. Our February break just got cancelled on Thursday night. The kids will miss 4 days of school that week so I'm not sure I want to book anything for April because that's where they're taking next if we get any more snow days.

The forecast has been wrong all week. We only had the freezing rain (still cost us 3 days off to clear roofs) and snow was expected yesterday and we had more rain. Today was a sunny, balmy 46 degrees. YEAH!

Hope you feel better soon.

This is so sad!:sad2:
I hope they still have some of the things that make the Dream so special by the time we cruise! I just don't get why people do this!!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2651411

I was reading that thread last night and could not believe it. It is ashame what some people will do to make a dollar or just to have a "souvenier".

Finalizing pre-cruise ADRs right now - just a few days away before that 6 month window opens.... who remembers the days when you could just walk up to a WDW restaurant and get in at a reasonable time?!? :rotfl:

Ok, here is the first installment of our report about our MAGICAL ADVENTURE TO THE DREAM!!

We told the girls that we were going to see our friend who is a CM on the ship the nearly freaked out...:scared1::scared1:

They did not even ask where my dad and Bruce went the night before. The guys went to pick up the rental car...LOL!!

We drove to the Port from OKW,really nice, to pull up and see the Dream. It was a bit foggy in the early morning. Here are some pictures below::

Once we got to the port. Security, asked if we were parking the car or dropping off. We were instructed by our friend that we were to tell the guard that we were visiting a CM for the day. They had my parents drop us off like we were going on the cruise. We were able to go to the front of the line, and just told them our names and we were told to walk around the terminal, and had to clear security there and then they walked us to the DREAM!! Our friend was waiting for us..

We boarded on deck two I think where the crew boards. Our friend took us up a back way to the Atruim. AMAZING!! One of the Cruise Directors were there and spoke with us for a while. It is amazing this Atrium Pictures do not do it justice!! The CD told us the chandelor is on a chain and it lowers all the way down for cleaning...

There are a few really nice additions to the Autrium: There is a little cocktail bar area, and there is Guest Services, Shore Exercursions is upstairs.

Here is a photo of the girls in the Autrium Lounge Area::

Next our friend took us to the Walt Disney Theatre and The Shops:

The shopping area reminds me of shopping on 5th Avenue in NYC!!..It was soo "odd" to be on the ship without any other passengers. All of the crew who we encountered were soo kind, and welcoming to us. They all greeted our friend by name and asked to be introuduced to us. It was AMAZING the VIP Treatment, we were getting going all around the ship.

Here are a few pictures of the shopping area::

More to come. We still have a ton more pictures/videos on our other camera that we have yet to upload....

More pictures/trip report to come I promise:

One more thing I forgot to mention the theatre is two stories high!! It has a balcony and has smaller balconies to the side that hold about ten people total. Bruce, and the girls went up there and had to check it all out!!

We also had to wear landyards that said Disney Dream Day Pass!!

More to come and the AQUA-DUCK!! The girls rode it about 18 times....It is AMAZING!!

Looking forward to hearing the rest. x:love:

Laura - GET WELL SOON! I am so sorry that you are sick. Please take care of yourself!

Kristin - OMG....sounds like the time on the ship was incredible! I can't wait to hear and see more!

Hope everyone has a great day. We are under a wind chill advisory here today and it is just so cold. I am really tired of the cold. This morning it is -35° F with the wind chill. I feel bad for my kids who have to wait at the bus stop. :scared1: Our HIGH today is only going to be 7 (-5 to -15 with the wind chill).

On a positive note....it is only 14 days until we leave for Disney!
