Morning Everyone! I LOVED getting up and seeing the notice that we are only 7 months out! That makes me VERY HAPPY...especially since when I woke up and looked outside today there was ICKY SNOW falling again. It is only suppose to be about 2 inches but we are getting 2 inches every day and I am sick of the snow. We have had snow 15 out of the 16 days of January. To top it off, the HIGH today is only going to be 5°! I need the happy thoughts of our cruise to carry me through!

Kristin - I am so sorry to read about your well-pump. What a horrible time to have that happen. It must be the weekend for things to break down...we have a large upright freezer in our basement that stopped working. Thankfully we discovered it before all the food went bad but now we have to figure out how to either fix this one (it is really old though so I don't know about that) or get a new one. Meanwhile, it is so freezing cold outside that everything is staying frozen in big plastic tote.

Candy - Sounds like you will have a fun time with your cousin!

Laura - Morning! I have to write you back! I might not get to it until tomorrow. We don't have any school tomorrow because it is a holiday here in the US.

Yesterday was really busy here....we bought a van to drive to Florida! It was a used van and is nothing special - but it is nice. We also got our 8 mile training run completed and went to a party with some friends.

Today we need to clean the house, do some laundry, go shopping, I have to tutor, I also have to write curriculum today and so much more. I have a feeling it will be another really busy one. Paul is preparing to cut our Christmas tree into pieces and burn it in our backyard....don't ask.

Hey DIS board gang! I noticed today was the 7 month mark as well.

It will be so exciting being on the new ship. I'm enjoying reading the first Dream observations coming in. Really curious to read the first hand accounts once it is a full ship...not Travel agent cruises, etc.

Esp interested in how the tiny pool situation works out and lines for the aqua duck. And how fun will it be to go to Castaway Cay twice.

Our refridgerator in our house died on us over the summer, while we were out of town for a week. We came home to the most disgusting smell. It was a horrible mess to clean up. No fun. But I did get my french door fridge that I've always wanted out of it! LOL

I was thinking the same thing, at least you have a place to store your food till you can get a new freezer. The same thing happened to us a couple of winters ago with our freezer, and it was great to just be able to stick the food in some coolers out in the sunroom.

It is freezing over here. And to make matters worse a valve on our well-pump has failed and now Bruce has to make a path to our well-cap and the well company has to come out on Monday and check to make sure the pump is still working. Can you say this is going to be one costly fix??We may have to be without water for a few days.............UGH!!Luckily, my parents live close enough for us to go over their to shower and bathe!!

So sorry to hear that. Hopefully it all gets worked out soon.

Hi everyone!!! I've been MIA for a while but am trying to be better!!!

I had a bunch of multi-posts...some survived, some didn't. Go figure. But it was great catching up on everything for the last, oh, eight pages...

WOW !! I'm glad for all those of you who have ... CLOSED SCHOOLS !!!!!!

Here in SUNNY Italy we are about 50° F - which for us means it's quite cold ...

NEW YEAR at school brought me awesome news : my principal wants me to teach full hours each day in two classes ... BUT I get every FRIDAY off !!!!
This means that from now on my weekend starts on Thursday afternoon !! I get 3 days off work every week !!! Not bad huh ? Though I'll have to "work" at home on my students lessons ... it's a GREAT bonus , really loving my principal at the moment !!!!!!

I also ran my first CC 5K while I was there and let me tell you guys it was HOT! Runnung down that airplaine landing strip is not easy, I don't know if I'll be able to hang this August.

Our first one was the last cruise and wow, it was HOT. But I felt a little less guilty at Palo's that night!! And with so many of us running the 5K, we'll all definitely find someone who is "our pace"...although whomever runs with me better have a better sense of direction than me...I took a wrong turn on the 5K and the race ended up a little longer for me!!!

Busy weekend here. Tess had a basketball tournament on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Saratoga Springs (sadly, Saratoga Springs, NY - NOT the Saratoga Resort at WDW!!! ) Snow squalls on the way up and lots of cars off the road.

I brought work home with me and it is time to get to it. Stay warm everyone!!!

It was a busy weekend! It is exciting to have a newer vehicle and I am looking forward to cleaning it up a bit more and finding some organizational things to help keep it clean.

Esp interested in how the tiny pool situation works out and lines for the aqua duck. And how fun will it be to go to Castaway Cay twice.

We are really curious about the tiny pool situation as well. I am really worried that the adult pool is not going to be anywhere near big enough for everyone.

I totally hear you! We had snow again today so that is now 16 out of 17 days in January. We are really struggling with the daily snow and the freezing cold temperatures.

You are right - even though our van is not new...it is new to us. Today I was really happy with our purchase as I got to drive it around a bit more. I think it is going to be a really good vehicle for our family and will work out perfect for the 2 trips to Disney World!

If our freezer had to die...it was good timing. Everything stayed all cold because we could put it outside. We did get a new (again, used) freezer yesterday so we already have everything back in a freezer again. There are few times when I appreciate the cold temps and this was one of them.

Only because you said not to.... I'm gonna ask - what's up with the tree??!

I figured someone would! Well, DH doesn't want to pay to have the tree taken away after Christmas. Now...remember...we get a 20 foot tree! Last year, DH decided to BURN....yes, BURN...our tree in our driveway! DS kept running in the house to the 2nd floor and then running outside. I finally stopped him and asked what was going on and he told me that he was seeing how high the flames were! WHAT???? Oh yeah, DH had a fire in our driveway that was HUGE! So, this year, DH decided to burn the tree again (because it went so well) but did bring it to the backyard. He cut parts of it up, lit it up and again....you could see the flames 2 stories high! I refused to watch any of it and tried to ignore him. Needless to say, the tree has burned and we do not have to pay to have it hauled away. As long as the extra money goes to Disney, I am fine with it!

Last time I struggled with the 5K but it was fine because there were so many people at different paces. I am excited to be a bit more prepared for it this summer. It is so HOT to run the 5K but still loads of fun. Jude - maybe this year I can keep up with you and we can run together!

I HATE the temperatures here. We just heard that another new cold front is coming in....temps below 0° all week long.
