Thanks. Glad to be a part of the group. I have to tried to get up-to-speed by reading the older posts, but there is a lot going on with this thread. :thumbsup2 BTW...who are the nice folks that volunteered to organize the FE?

This is a GREAT thread. Jen Anderson, has been keeping up a website. Which is AWESOME. You will need to PM her to get the password to get onto the website. She is also keeping a list of the FE particiapants there as well. Last cruise I helped her a bit with the FE but not sure she needs much help. But if she does she knows just where to find me and I will surely help her out. The website also has a family page there are pictures of families that are cruising with us, so you can get to know everyone a bit better!! Looking forward to meeting you. My twins will be nine on this cruise!!

Morning Everyone! DH, DS and I started our day out by waiting in a line OUTSIDE (4° F) for over an hour to shop at a sale for bath bombs! There is this store near us that makes WONDERFUL :cloud9: bath bombs and then once a year they sell all their "oops" bath bombs for $1.00 - a great deal! It is limited to 25 per person so I had to bring DH and DS with me so we could get 75! Mission accomplished and now we have plenty for us for the year and extras on hand for quick gifts. The rest of the day will be filled with running errands, working around the house and then I will get to any website requests I have gotten this week. :goodvibes

I'm going with my sister.... oh, and my kids.

:welcome: Welcome Dave!

Add us to the list, we are sailing with a very large group this time. We have 4 staterooms linked together including TinkerbellTwins who joined the list a little while ago.

My family is me Jeff (Pudo), DW, DD (18), DD (7). My younger daughter is good friends with TinkerbellTwins' daughters. They met on the 10/30/10 Halloween cruise which was a blast. Many of those DISers have rebooked on the Fantasy 08/25/2012 Eastern. My older daughter managed to get her best friend (also 18) to come along this time so Vibe club is going to be rocking. :)

The others traveling include two other staterooms/families. It looks like 5 adults and two children so a total of 17 cruisers linked together for main dining.

This will be our 9th DCL cruise, looking forward to sailing on the Dream. We would like to be part of the FE, the one on the Halloween cruise worked out really well.

:welcome: Welcome Jeff! There is information on the first page of this thread that will tell you the basic information to send to me. Once you see the website, you can decide if you want to share more!

We got a lot of snow yesterday. Kids school was cancelled (could have gotten in an early dismissal, but you just never know). It's pretty snow clinging to all the tree branches and it's very white outside. Unfortunately there's ice underneath the roads which are making them slippery and we have to go to a soccer tournament (inside) for our son later.

WOW !!! LOVE your pic ... though I can see that all that snow can give some issues to you all !!!
Good luck !!!
;) Like the idea of ... closing schools !!! (I'm a teacher :rolleyes1 .......)

QUESTION for New Yorkers and people who often visit NYC :goodvibes

DGH and I would like to try one of the
"FOODS OF NEW YORK tours"

See the link here below PLEASE :

http://www.foodsofny.com/chinatown.php

We cannot make up our minds : cuisine / history & culture of :confused3 CHINATOWN or GREENWICH VILLAGE ?

Any thoughts ? Has someone tried them ?

THANKYOU , laura :grouphug:

;) BUMP to new page !! :thumbsup2

Seems like many of us have our Pre and Post Cruise Plans already taken care of.

If anyone who is staying at the port the night before wants to meet for a group Dis Dinner, I am happy to figure out a place for all of us to meet......Just a thought!!

We are booked at the Residence Inn also - using my Marriott points. You know we will be in for the dinner.

My TA did say that is almost a full ship. I just tried it for the four of us and it is not even coming up. When we switched our room to a conciereges room she said that we had booked the last conciereges rooms!!

So you switched already - nice job.

Welcome to all the newbies. Cannot wait to see and meet everyone.

Janeanne, Bruce switched us had Carol switch us as a "Christmas Present." Not the same room we had last time though. Just a regular cat. 4 on the concierge's floor..

Florida to PA is a big adjustment, good luck with the house hunting. I'm a DBA that works in Princeton; let me know if your husband has any questions about the area.

Welcome aboard!!

We have never tried one of these tours, but we do eat often in NYC... For us the choice would be easy - Italian over Chinese any day! :) The Village tour looks pretty good. We've been to Milk & Cookies - awesome cookie ice-cream sandwiches!!!!! Plus they also serve organic milk - which is a not easy to find when out & about.

Not a big fan of Chinatown either, but that's just basically a personal preference on our end. Not the cleanest part of NYC you will ever encounter and not a big fan of all the street vendors. We had a friend who visits us from the UK every year and we took him into NYC last summer. Not sure if you've been to Chinatown in London or not, but he claims that one puts the one in NYC to shame and he was disappointed in it here.

Hello all,
Haven't posted in a long time. I just wanted to let everyone know we are still here. I am hoping to be more active on this thread.

Welcome to all the new cruisers!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!!

My DD8 and I were talking about our cruise today. When I asked her what she was looking forward to the most on the Dream, her reply was, "Sleeping in the bunk bed!!" Can you believe that?? Not the Aqua Duck, not the characters...the darn bunk beds!!:rotfl2:

The last cruise we took on the Wonder was a 4 night, so DD & DS each got the bunk for 2 nights. This time since we are on a 5 nighter, I am gonna have to have them draw straws for the 5th night.

August can't come soon enough!!

Hi everybody! It's been a long time since I posted.

Starting think about what to do in Nassau. Any ideas??? We've never been there before. Boys are 15 and 10.

:worship: BIG THANKYOU !!! :)
Our first choice would be The Village as we are very curious ( after all ;) WE are Italian !) ... but DGH  is "grumping" that I give him Italian food every day !!!! :rotfl2:
We never visited Chinatown in London , but the Chinatown we visited last Summer in Honolulu was  let's say " Not a clean place at all !" ... though our friend Matt made us sample some interesting food ...

I guess DGH and I need to debate a little bit more ...

THANKYOU for sharing your opinion !!! :):) laura
