We are splitting the list. Everyone will have 20 people maximum to do gifts for. After getting messages from some people, we want to be careful about not having too many due to flying restrictions and such. I will not split the list up until we get closer to the cruise date but you can count on 20.

I have done some searching about the FE thing and it sounds really cool (and right up my ally!!) but I need to hear more about what people have seen exchanged in the past so I can start my creative juices going. ;)

Try here, there's lots of great ideas... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980639&highlight=home+made
also, if you look at some of the cruise TR's sometimes they put in pictures of the gifts they got.

AWESOME... I have two or three ideas already and I'm only on page 10!

Thanks!

ETA: I'm going to have to reign myself in...I don't have any traveling restrictions (ie weight on a flight) since we are driving down. Mantra while planning... Must leave room for the luggage in the minivan, cannot fill w/ large FE gifts. :-)

QUESTION OF THE WEEK #2

Oh my! I forgot to post this yesterday!

I questions are posted on or web site and I copied all of your answers from last week and put them there as well. If you ever miss answering one and want to chime in on an old question...feel free to post it and I will try to get it updated! :thumbsup2

So, here is our second question...

What is something NEW (either on the ship or something you haven't done on a cruise) that you are looking forward to?

Can't wait to hear all the answers!
Aquaduck, of course. I can't wait to check out the new ship and restaurants

We were able to double dip on our last cruise because of an unexpected change in itineraries. While we were sad not to go on our eastern cruise, top stops at Castaway Cay were heavenly! :cloud9:

:thumbsup2 and we had great weather!!!!

I have wanted to try this so bad but it never seems to work out. Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! It makes me think I might need to consider the family photos there again.

Dizney, those were great pics. The Poly would be a great place for a photo shoot.

I am totally bummed out that this is the last week of summer vacation. It makes me sad to think that on Monday school will start and we will be back into the routine of it all again. At least the weather is supposed to warm back-up here for Sat. and Sun...!!:thumbsup2:)

The list is huge and varied as to what we have gotten in our FE. It is so much fun though to come back to the room and have such fun gifts waiting for you! I think Terri gave you a great link to start with that link - it is amazing what some people make or put together.

This is my problems as well - I keep thinking I can make bigger gifts because we are not flying this time. I have to remember that a lot of stuff needs to fit in our van...not just the gifts!

I can't wait to check out the menus for the new restaurants!

We will hopefully be staying at the Poly and every time I see people's photos from there I think I really should give it a try - they always look so great!

Enjoy your weekend Kristin! Sorry your kids have to go back next week. Mine get one more week off but in many ways I am ready to have them go back and just get into a regular routine again.

Looks like our pre and post cruise plans have changed a bit... we just found out that one of Jenni's China friends will be dancing in disney on August 10... so looks like we are heading down on the 9th now vs. The 13th. Probably no beach now afterwards either since I would feel guilty boarding the dogs for any longer! Longer at the world... its a fair trade!

I am having surgery on my hand tomorrow so wish me luck! I'm kinda paranoid because I thought it was supposed to be a local and right there in the doctors office then the pre-surgery nurse called and told me it was under general anistesia. :scared1: I freaked out and told her if I couldn't breathe on my own I wasn't having the surgery, so she said I could have a different kind of anestisia where I wouldn't have to have the breathing tube. Thank goodness! Then she tells me that it will be a quicker recovery if I don't have the breathing tube! Well W. T. H. why wouldn't they just automaticly do the different anistesia with the quicker recovery?????? Anyway, I won't be on here for a little bit since typing will be a little hard but I will check in on ya'll.

Terri - I will be thinking of you. :tinker: Here is some PD for a quick recovery. Hopefully even if you can't type a whole lot you can surf and read all the fun stuff that is going on! :thumbsup2

Take care!
Jen

So, here is our next question...

If you could recommend a Disney stage show for the Dream...what would you like to see?

Can't wait to hear all the answers!

Hi everyone,

I haven't read through all the posts, but wanted to pop in and say we are booked for this cruise also. We are doing a back to back. This is the first leg of the back to back.

It will be myself and 14 year old daughter, unless we have someone join us.

I'd like to see a short adaptation of The Lion King, personally. :) I'd also hope that they'd get something to replace The Disney Dreams show with something similar but different (of course, what a perfect name for the new show!) I just think it is time for something new. :)

:welcome: Welcome to the group! My DD will be 15 on the cruise and there are many other teen girls in the group! :thumbsup2

The Lion King could be kind of fun! You would think since they have done it as a theater performance already they would adapt it for the Dream!

Living on the East coast, I've seen Lion King and Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. Which were spectacular. But I haven't seen Mary Poppins or The Little Mermaid yet so my vote would be for either of those shows!

And I'll have a 16 year old boy!!! :lmao::lmao:

Terri, good luck tomorrow!!!

Dd and I have seen Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid on Broadway but not The Lion King or Beauty & the Beast! LOL

Well, I should add that dd and I did see The Lion King here in Philly, but it wasn't on Broadway!

We were actually lucky enough to see TLM last summer when Drew Seely was Eric. Dd was in her glory!
