Spent the day at the beach on Friday.... I have lived in NJ for a LONG time and I hate our beaches/shore area... Probably why we travel a lot to southern beaches!! Usually once or twice or summer I have to indulge my kids though and we head on down. Anyway, at one point I leaned over to my wife and mentioned that one year from that exact moment we would have our collective bums sitting on the beach at CC instead of Wildwood, NJ!!!!

The cruise, which was really a 5 day trip to nowhere...actually the same 5 days as our trip will be...was very nice...good weather throughout and very smooth water....the shorter trip in terms of miles of course helps out in keeping the trip smoother, but there were some T-Storms out there and I think they deliberately steered around most of them, though a couple of them hit at night..but all in all very smooth sailing...

CC and Pelican Plunge were nice...the cabanas and cookies 2 were not yet open nor was the new splash zone for younger kids...Pelican Plunge is fun, but make sure you hold your nose on entry b/c that is salt water you splash down into and it will burn if you inhale a snout full...

Chuck:cool1:

Oh and we booked Turkey Day Dream 2011 while on board...

Very nice! Our daughter is 6 and this will be her 3rd year... middle son has been playing for 8 years, and our older son played for 10 years before settling in on swimming. I have also played for 20+ years and this is my 11th year coaching soccer as well....

That is great! I see there is a lot of people that has stuff in common with us and that is fantastic! my DH will be happy to hear that!!! blessings

QUESTION OF THE WEEK #2

Oh my! I forgot to post this yesterday!

I questions are posted on or web site and I copied all of your answers from last week and put them there as well. If you ever miss answering one and want to chime in on an old question...feel free to post it and I will try to get it updated! :thumbsup2

So, here is our second question...

What is something NEW (either on the ship or something you haven't done on a cruise) that you are looking forward to?

Can't wait to hear all the answers!

Aquaduck seems to be the obvious answer - that's all my kids are talking about :)

Me - the CC 5K run. I've posted previously my personal "challenges" with hot weather running so it should be interesting :scared1: I did a lot more training in the heat this summer (hard to avoid it with the weather we've had!!) and I did okay. I ran 8 miles today in the hot sun - though the temps were only around 80. I survived, but I felt like %^$*# in general though :rotfl:

Sounds like you had a decent run today even though you might not have felt great about it. DH and I did 9 miles this morning and humidity was just horrible. We were BEYOND drippy!

I am excited for the CC 5K run because I think there will be a lot of us participating! :thumbsup2

QUESTION OF THE WEEK #2

I've never done a drink tasting on the ship. I am hoping to do one this time. I am not a fan of tequila, so I have to hold out for something else. Wine, beer, etc....

Me - Having 2 rooms
Paul - New food/ restaurants

I keep thinking that we are going to do a drink tasting and we never seem to have time for it or the schedule just doesn't seem to work out. Maybe this time!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK #2

What is something NEW (either on the ship or something you haven't done on a cruise) that you are looking forward to?

(1) Aquaduck :woohoo:
(2) Remy (depends on if we can get a reservation:rolleyes:)
(3) Staying on the ship while in Nassau

I think there will be many votes for the Aquaduck! :thumbsup2 I only hope that the lines will not be too long for it.

That's what I've been wondering (the lines)!! Lots of people on this ship and I am betting a good percentage aren't getting off in Nassau either. I'll be reading those first trip reports when they start coming in for details.

I agree Harry, I bet there will be VERY LONG lines for the Aquaduck!!

I'm looking forward to doing the martini tasting and going to Pink. I hope that they do the tasting in Pink that would be perfect! Kids, definately Aquaduct; Yes I said Aquaduct that's what my son thinks it's called and we can't convince him that it's duck. :lmao: My hubby is looking forward to the swim up bar at the adult pool.

Just wanted to share...
In July while on our family vacation we had our family portraits taken by David and Vicki Arndt Photography at the Poly. They came out fantastic and were very reasonablably priced! The Disney property makes a great background for family photos and just thought I would share in case anyone wanted to try them out... maybe before or after the cruise next year! I already can't wait to get our portraits taken again... Boardwalk next time, I think!

My favorite photo...
