Welcome!

That moment was too cute for words. Thank you.

How exciting! I am sure they will be so thrilled. Have the camera ready. I am sure it will be a magical moment you can submit to the Disney website.

Great idea. I had planned on Bruce being there filiming while I walk them out of school and when they ask me what Dad is doing here I am going to say, "Well, we are going to Disney World Right now!!!!!!!"

That is an awesome surprise!! How long will you be at Disney and where are you staying? We are leaving in 19 days staying in the treehouses. So can't wait to see grass, flowers and palm trees!! :) Laurie

Good Evening Everyone,,

Hope everyone had a good day. The girls went with Bruce and my father to see the Narnia Movie.. They really enjoyed it.

Well, except for the "last minute" items we are all packed. Once, they go to school on Friday morning I will pack up their stuffed animals, blankets, American Girl dolls, etc. and then we will be off!!

I can't wait to see their reaction when I pick-them up from school early on Friday and walk them to the car and there will be Bruce, and my parents and we are going to tell them that we are headed to the airport right then and there!!:thumbsup2:cool1::banana::):yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::flower3:

That is so awesome Kristin!!!!
Please have Bruce take video! I would love to see the girls and their reactions!!

Laura :flower3:

PS WHERE did you hide all your luggage ? when did you pack ?

Our reservations are now all complete! :cool1: Our flights are booked to head to WDW on August 8. We will be checking into AKV for 8 nights and checking out on August 16. I rented a car for the entire stay and cruise time so that we can drive ourselves to the port and then back to the airport. I wanted to get to the port a bit earlier than when everyone reports Disney transportation gets to the port. We also have 2 other families at the World with us staying at CBR so the car should come in handy to make our time together easier and more convenient. I booked the Park and cruise package at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach for the night returning from the cruise, the 21st, so that we can spend a restful day before heading home. This also allows us to park our car there for free while on the cruise! Also, a flight out on Monday was $50 pp cheaper than a flight home on Sunday. That $200 more than covered the room! Plus I was able to cancel my Disney transportation... another $225!:lovestruc

I'm going off topic and looking for opinions for an April vacation. Our friends have timeshare at Atlantis in February but this year it falls the week before our break and we don't want to take the kids out of school. She's been trying to book Atlantis for April but since it's Easter week it's not happening and airfare is crazy expensive.:scared1:

So, Myrtle Beach is an option that we can drive to. We've never been there before. Is it warm enough in mid-April to be at the beach? Any suggestion for things to do in the area for those who live near there or have visited?

Thanks,
Gina

Tell me about it. On our last trip he met a girl at Castaway Cay and played with her both days. He also met a DIS friend's granddaughter and they hit it off. After the picture below was taken he escorted her (by putting his hand on her back) into the gift shop to show her the toys he liked. Too cute.

Oh my gosh, too adorable!!

PARLAY : enjoy your celebration !! What are you going to do ?

We decided to somewhat replicate the offerings at Goofy's Galley, and Pluto's Doghouse! So we made Turkey, mozzarella, and spinach pannini's, fresh fruit along with chicken tenders, french fries, onion rings and pizza. Then for dessert we made banana and strawberry smoothies and drank them out of our Disney Cruise Line smoothie glasses (except we didn't have to pay $10 each for them LOL)!

This is my first time posting to the board. I (34) will be cruising on the Dream with my Mom(60), Aunt (62) and BFF (34) on the 16th and we all can't wait. It will be my 3rd DC, my mom and BFF's 2nd and my Aunt's first. We can't wait to experience the Disney Dream. That being said, on my past cruises, the fun at night is sparse. Totally get that most folks on board are traveling with kids and with all the great kid activities, night might be the only time Mom and Dad get to see them, but take this as an all call to come on out and have some fun. My BFF and I are tons of fun so if one night you want to get out we will definitely be tearing it up in one of the lounges. My mom and Aunt aren't slouches either!

See ya there.

We have a great time at the adult clubs at night!:cool1: We'll be seeing you there!

It always seems when you book your air fare the vacation becomes a reality. We just booked Continental from Newark @ $164 roundtrip to Orlando. We fly to WDW or DCL at least once a year and I can't remember the last time we got a fair that low. :cool1:

Hey Laura,

The packing has been done late @ night, I had planned on doing it during the day but with all of the snow days and more snow on the way it has to be done @ night-time only!! I pack a bit and put the suitcases right back into the closet in our bonus-room where we always store them so it is no different than usual!!:rotfl::lmao:

What a great feeling to have everything ready!! It makes the cruise seem that much closer!!
We have our flights, the hotel the night before the cruise, and we now just booked two nights after the cruise. The only thing we have left to do is figure out transportation!

What a great price!! We are flying Continental also, but our fairs are not that low!! LOL

Yeah!
we're coming in on the 8th also.
I'm renting a vehicle but I'll be dropping it off near the port and picking it up near the port afterwards.
It never works out well for us to do the park and cruise pkg (even if we have our own vehicle) because it's expensive for the 5 of us in the hotels. :(
Was it just cheaper to keep the vehicle while on the cruise than to drop off/pick up? Well we're also doing the b2b so it's a longer cruise- I forgot this one is only 5nt. LOL I'm glad you got things cheaper than you thought! :)

What a good feeling to be able to pay off the cruise and travel. Hopefully, you will be getting some rest soon.

The forecast here is for a wintry mix on Tuesday into Wednesday but, it changes every night so we will see.

Your DD & DS are beautiful.
ohhhh he's a cutie patootie!! (and so is the little girl. hehe)

Welcome!

Well.... my problem isn't the kids- that's generally when the kids WANT to be in the clubs because they tend to do the "fun" activities in the later hours (especialy for tweens and teens). My problem is DH is used to getting up early (for instance he just got up LOL) for work and he soooo can't seem to break that habit on the cruise. He goes to bed early/gets up early, much to my dismay. So I need people to hang with if I'm gonna be in the "adult entertainment" areas at night... cause I'll be all alone while DH is snoring in our room. :confused3 :lmao:
(so I tend to be alone on the verandah or upper decks writing in journal and whatnot- waiting for the teens to get their hineys in bed and because I'm a nightowl anyway.. instead of going to the clubs alone. Ya know?)
