Hi all -
Arlene - so nice to hear from you and that you're doing okay. Life here is busy as ever - with Ryan's school and football schedule. my cruise album is FINISHED -and has been awhile, except some journaling here and there - but need to be in the right spot & frame of mind to sit and journal - but i sure think of you all you when i look at it. I PROMISE to photograph some of the pages and post them here for you scrapbookers.
Looking forward to my adults only DL trip on 10/31 (it's an annual thing on our way to Palm Springs) and then going again right before Xmas for two days...just so Ryan can be there during the holiday celebration but mostly for the Night before Xmas remake of the Haunted Mansion...one of my favs, but he's never seen it....

PS - thanks Doc for the glasses tips - wasn't aware of those...but i do change lens cases every time my Clear Care runs out - as the new packs provide a new case each time. Great product!!!

hi everyone! hope this finds you well. yes, i'm addicted to this!! just thought i'd say hello, and see what everyone is up to...

we are getting ready for halloween! our DSs will be captain shang (from mulan) and rajah (the tiger from aladdin). i'd like to be cinderella...but oh well...i don't think so. funny, how we tend to gravitate towards disney characters...hmmm...

Brenda...was it you that mentioned that you're traveling to dl for halloween? if so, have a great time!!

I love when I get the email saying someone has responded to this thread. Nice to see we are still going.

Brenda have fun in DL! I just got back from a business trip there and it was awesome! I got to do California Screamin which was closed when we went in the summer. Awesome! And I loved seeing the Haunted Mansion Holiday. I'm not even a fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas, but it was so cool to see that. Its amazing how different it is. Disney does great with detail.

I hope Cecilia had a good birthday, Arlene. You too Brenda!

It's starting to get cold and I reallllly don't like it! I think it's going to be a long winter.

I keep thinking about how warm it is on the ship and the beaches at the ports of call.

Looks like I'll have to wait a little longer for our next cruise. We booked on board for April spring break and then DS's school took away the last 2 days. I'm going to call Costco in 1/2 an hour and change the date to July for DS's birthday. Then I have to cancel DVC and wait to rebook that until Dec. 30th.

Brenda have a great time in DL. DS is really bugging me to go back since we only had 2 days there in August. Maybe next year we can work in a trip.

We're going up to Connecticut this weekend to Foxwoods Casino to see Michael Crawford (The original Phantom of the Opera). It's an early birthday present. Only over night but I'm looking forward to getting away.

hi there, Brenda! i would LOVE to see some of your pages!! i haven't even started on mine yet!! i did buy the scrapbook & accessories on the ship!! i know you like using cm products. how many books did you make? or did they all fit in one book? just curious...how many pages? i have around 400+ pix. so i'll have to do some "serious" choosing to use my pix! just haven't had time...

Hi there - i have really missed being on these boards and chatting with you all - i do think of ALL of you quite often!
I got all my photos in one album....that's a great thing about CM - our albums hold 400-600 photos...my hubby got me a great new NIKON dig camera for my BD, so now i will get my pages from the cruise album posted very soon - just haven't been home much with Ryan's football schedule - but they are 5-2 - so it's been a great year for them so far.....
Yes we leave for Disneyland this sunday - will only be there 1 day - and then go to Palm Springs for 3 days - looking forward to my 'mini-vacation'

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Cecilia today!!! Yes mine was last Thursday (i was "40" AGAIN!!!) "Forever 40" is my motto - and my license plate too!! hope Cecilia enjoys her day - i remember my 10th - i got my FIRST Disney watch - it was a blue leather band with Cinderella on the face and came with a porcelain statue of Cinderella....i was hooked from that point on!!! take care all

Hey katie - so GLAD you got to come back to DL and see the Haunted Mansion....i LOVE the way the redo that with the overlay of the Nightmare b4 Xmas....and i'm even more excited that CA screamin is open again!! we are not going to C/A next monday, but doing both parks in December when my friend Stacey and I take our boys.

Nancy - is your birthday coming up soon too? Enjoy your weekend away - it sounds like fun!~

I haven't been on the boards in a few days because my computer was on it's last leg. Just got a brand new one . It's so much faster than the old one. I'm getting my stuff done in 1/2 the time. I guess I'll have to start cleaning the house now. Hopefully I can finish transferring all my information today.

So when is everyones next trip to Disney? We have to wait until July . I made our reservations for the Beach Club on Friday . Now I have to figure out our transportation for the cruise and back. I think we will rent a car and drive to the port then stay at the Radisson the night before. I'm going to call DCL and see about getting their transport to Beach Club when we get back and then, hopefully, take ME to the airport home.

It seems such a long ways away. Well first I think I'll just get through the winter!

YEAH on the new computer....aren't they fun??? I am still trying to determine which cruise to take next... We already have our deposit, & our currently scheduled for 12/02/06 - but that won't work - so thinking about the holiday cruise 12/16 but if not then, maybe Feb 2007...need to spend a few days at the parks while in FL too...so have to work around school & basketball schedules - so many decisions so far in advance!

how exciting to plan another cruise/vacation!! we are booked for random date in 2006...but we really want to do it in 2007. so we're just kinda waiting for the dates to come out! but then, i heard they might go to the mediterranean...so that would be expensive. now if $ was not an issue, we'd go for it. it'll be our 10th anniversary in 2007...so we'll see. our ressies are just kinda "floating" out there somewhere.

hope everyone had a wonderful new year. and 2006 is being really good so far! if any of you are coming out to southern california...visiting dl...let me know! we can hook up!

rsjj, I am! We will be arriving on 2/22, staying at Paradise Pier Hotel, spending 3 days in the parks (Thur, Fri, and Sat), then Sunday we will go to the Lakers/Celtics game. I keep planning these trips out west when our Boston teams are out there, and I dont even mean to.

Since you are familiar with the area maybe you could help me here. Do you think it would be feasible to spend some time in the Hollywood area, basically just checking it out, and maybe get lunch, then head to the Staples Center? Would that be too much driving, or time consuming? Would we be better off just heading straight to the game?

now to help you out a bit...what time is your game? is it in the afternoon or eveing/night? depends on what you want to do. the grove is a nice shopping area w/some nice restaurants. it's right next to the 3rd street farmer's market (a fun place) since your game is on sunday...it might be fun. maybe if you tell me what your family would like to do...i can help you better? you can always walk down hollywood blvd., and check out mann's chinese theater...(lots of famous celebrity foot/hand prints). would you have a rental? cuz our public transportation is not that great! from hollywood to staple center would take around 1/2 an hour driving...w/out traffic. (give or take 10 minutes)

Hi Susie.....good to hear from you....we're planning one more trip to DL before summer....but haven't decided on the 'right date' yet...don't really want to go when all the schools are out for President's Day or during Easter break, so Ryan has a couple of days off from school end of March - may go down then....

i'm so excited, do you know why?? we might stay at dlh for couple days. i have a conference to attend in april, and it's in anaheim!! and one of the hotels being offered is dlh. can you believe it??!! we've never stayed there!! (or any of the resort hotels...since we're pretty close as far as driving to dl and all) anyways, i've mentioned the idea to DH, and thought it would be a good spring break/mini vacation of some sorts. hopefully, everything works out! cross your fingers for me!! hee hee...

oh...did you ever find your pictures from those collages? i think you mentioned you were wearing red?

have fun when you come down. i assume it'd be just you & Ryan? you got to get your DH into the disney mode!! hee hee...

hi there!!!! we haven't decided on a cruise date yet....waiting till the post the dates beyond April 2007....think we'll end up doing the eastern caribbean though, as i know i want to tie in another trip to the "World" - although that mediterraenan sounds really awesome!!!!
DH used to go with us to DL - but we went so often when DD & DS were younger - he just got pretty burnt out - i can't imagine "too much" Disney....and thankfully Ryan still loves it too!!! I think we'll all go down- but DH will go chase that little white ball around with some friends!
If you get any more info on 2007 cruises - let me know!
PS = yes i did find our photo on the collage and was able to get a series of photos down to where you could see just ours.....
