Hi, Gang!

I'm finally getting on here. I have been so busy lately, I havent had time for the fun stuff. ;)

Glad to see both of you, Brenda & Susie have DL trips in the works. I cant wait to get out there again. :cool1: The weather is looking chilly so far, but I know its still very early to believe anything they say. And we just got 15+ inches of snow yesterday,so I cant complain about 60 degrees. ;) Susie, I hope you do get to stay at DLH. We really enjoyed it there. :thumbsup2

Brenda, what collage are you on (I assume you meant the happiest faces in DL?)? I'll check it out.

Those Mediterranean cruises have our wheels turning too. My first thought was no way, but DH is actually convincing me that the repo (coming back)would be the way to go. I think hes nuts, but the idea is certainly growing on me (and quick, LOL).

As for my upcoming trip, things are falling into place...except I have no time to pack! :hourglass We are now doing just the game on Sunday(its at 4:00 I think). Our flights got cancelled so we needed to get new ones, and now we will have all day Monday to play around in the Hollywood area. We are debating going to Universal for the day, or just, sightseeing whatever we stumble across. As it turns out Regis & Kelly are filming their shows out ther that day and I would love to go, but kids under 10 arent allowed, and you can only get 2 tickets anyway, so that wont work. :(

Hope all is well with everyone...keep planning those trips! :wave2:

Hey there Katie....we have had such gorgeous weather up here on the central coast....but we're supposed to get some cooler weather and rain starting tomorrow...i hope that holds off while you are out here and can enjoy some (much needed) warmth and sunshine!!!
my girlfriend & I are in the "It's a Small World Collage" hanging near the Small World ride shop....we are to the right of the sun....somewhat across from the nose....we both have on red "minnie" shirts....all of the collages are awesome!!!! I took pictures of almost all of them for my album :-)
I am so anxious to get back on the ship and to enjoy a few days at WDW - not sure if i can wait till next year!!! :teeth:
Wishing you a safe trip and a wonderful time here in CA!!!!

Hi Katie

How come we got more snow then you? We got about 18 inches and Central Park in NY had a record 26.9 inches! Just when I thought spring was around the corner because the temps were in the 50's.

DH has already told me not to even think about booking the Mediterranean cruise. I can't wait to see how much they cost. I guess I should start buying lottery tickets LOL.

LOL! Maybe all us Aug 13 cruisers should go in on some lottery tickets so if we hit we can all cruise again together. :thumbsup2

26.9 inches, Nancy!?! Suddenly ours isnt looking so bad. :sunny:

i'm in!! where do i sign up??!!?? hee hee...

it does sound wonderful, the mediterranean cruise. although it might be a bit too much for our little ones, as far as excursion/sight seeing is concerned...maybe. of course, we'd just stay on the ship!! i'd like to get back on the magic...but we'll see.

it's so good to hear from all of you! :flower:

Hey Katie - how was your trip to the west coast???? Did youn have some decent weather? We were in San Diego last week, and it was (mostly) really warm and wonderful but did have about 12 hours of rain....livable i guess....but i hear we are in for about 7 days of non-stop rain, and my hubby saw snow on the low mountains this a.m. - we just got some hail at my office near the coast....
well hope you all had a great time....wanted to let you know that my TA talked to her Disney rep today, and they aren't commenting on any defiinite 2007 port destinations, so who knows if the mediterranean is for real or rumor???? Mid-April they will post the May-Sept 2007 dates & destinations....

hi Gang.....Happy Easter to you all - hope your Easter Sunday is much more warm and sunny than our "rainy day"!! Well, Ryan & I are tentatively set for Easter cruise next April (4/07 Western) since DCL is taking our Magic to the mediterranean next summer - and i really don't want to wait till 2008.....if any one of you decide to go next April - let me know :-) Hope all is well!!!
:grouphug: to all

hi Brenda!! it's so good to hear from you! i was so excited to see the post from "august 13, 2005". easter was good. our boys were so excited about the easter bunny visiting them, and leaving them each a basket full of treats & play things. and Justin was just so thrilled that the easter bunny left a note for them!! it's just so cute to see their excitement!! the weather here was good. kinda cloudy in the morning, but cleared up in the afternoon, and our boys got to go out & play in the yard w/all the play things that the easter bunny brought.

april sounds like a good time to go. i did get a quote for the repo...but ended up deciding that mediterranean wasn't a good place for us to visit at the moment, w/our DSs being so young. of course, they'd be a whole year older by then...but we do have it for december 2007. we're deciding whether we want to keep it, or go to hawaii in 2007 and push it one more year ahead. oh well...it's still a long way off, i guess. a lot can happen between now & then!

have fun on your cruise...i'm jealous!! hope everyone is doing well. :flower:

Hey Susie....so nice to hear back from you and that you had a great Easter and really enjoyed "watching your boys" enjoy their Easter baskets...i sure MISS those days!! We had my daughter & her boyfriend here for a nice brunch - but it rained all morning (pretty much the norm up here these days!!)....so it was nice quiet day for the 5 of us.

I really couldn't decide what / when to cruise again; no way can I take enough time off during the summer to do the mediterranean, and we really want to do WDW again - so 4/07 seemed right, unless we wait till 2008....plus DH and I are going to Italy this fall & to Aruba next fall w/out Ryan. So needed to plan a trip with him somewhere in between. Hoping i can talk him into one more cruise again in 2009 for his HS graduation; wonder where the Magic will be that summer???? Hold onto those little guys - they do grow so very quickly!!! :hourglass Everyone tells you that, but you don't realize it, till they're in HS and you have all your vacations planned out for the next 4 years!!

Aloha everyone:

Been thinking about our cruise last year - missed all your smiling faces. Hope everyone is in good health and having fun.

Can't wait to go on another MAGICal cruise........

Til then - keeping having fun in the sun,

Arlene and Cecilia :goodvibes

We just got back from a 4 day Wonder last month. We rebooked on board. I'm going to change it when the 2008 dates come out. Anyone want to come with me? I'm hoping for some kind of a special itinerary because it's the Magic's 10th birthday.

HI ALL!!! hasn't it just been the SADDEST week...all i can think about is where we were at this time a year ago....but we've been 'reliving' that fabulous week through our scrapbook!!!! and we are going on the magic next april!!! woohooo!!!! :cool1:
our plans are to fly the redeye on wed april 4th and spend thurs & friday at the parks....then head over to the port as early sat the 7th as possible! and even better is that at least one of my sister's and her son is planning to go with us!! yeah! of course....we'd love to have any of you join us as well!
Hope all is well with each one of you!
Arlene - sending you a PM.....

hi everyone!! hope all is doing well...

how exciting that some of you have gone on more cruises & some of you have a cruise or two lined up! i'd love to go with you all!!!!!!! we have one lined up in dec 2007, but we are going to change it to sometime in 2008 when it comes out.

Nancy...any idea when your family is going? we're restricted to only "regular" vacation times! so what new things have they on the ship now? how exciting to be back!!

yes...to re-live our trip, we look at our pix. hmmm...got to go make more memories!! :flower:

Good to hear from everyone!

Yesterday I was just thinking "a year ago today (Wednesday) we were at Mazatlan". SIGH!
Wouldnt it be nice to be back there?

We were able to squeeze in a quick, 3 night, last minute cruise last month but that was a tease. Too short! I loved seeing Ian and Travis again. Ian is such a character.

But the good news is, like you Nancy, we rebooked on board. We rebooked for November 07, but are going to change to 2008, probably August. But I'm hoping they do the regular Caribbean cruises. Thats what I really want to try, but it never seems to work out. ;) If they did the Western, the last week of August, it would definitely be that one for me. Anxiously awaiting those dates to come out now!!! :bitelip:

Katie,

Nov 7th is my birthday and I booked for that week also (changing it when the 2008 rates come out). I'd like to do the Western again also (however I wouldn't be adverse to sailing out of NYC :)). We can't do the last week of August though because Matt has band camp then. Also tentatively in 2008 our High School Marching band (with DS) should be marching in WDW.

We were really surprised to see Ian and Travis. I see that Ian is still the energizer bunny. He is everywhere. We boarded the day you disembarked. We were the first ones in the terminal. It was great. The place was empty.

Susie,

I think it would be great if we could all book the same cruise again.

We're also restricted to "regular" vacation time. It will probably be July or early August 2008. Matt has band camp last week of August and there really isn't enough time for a 7 day on spring break. We like to fly in a few days early because of problems like we had this time. We were flying in on Friday and leaving on the Wonder on Sunday. Our flight was "supposed" to leave Newark at 3:22 pm. There were lots of thunder storms in the area so our plane coming in was diverted to Baltimore. Then it left Baltimore and circled for about an hour before it was again diverted to Philadelphia. We didn't leave the gate until 10:30 pm. We then sat on the runway for 45 minutes because they weren't allowing any flights to take off to the south because of storms. We didn't arrive in Atlanta until 1:30 am. We missed all the flights out to Orlando so had to spend the night, arriving at our hotel at 2:00 am. Delta put us on a flight the next morning at 9:00 am to Orlando. We didn't arrive until 11:00 am Saturday morning.

So the moral of the story is - always fly in at least 1 day before the cruise.

wow - what a nightmare Nancy.....glad we're flying into MCO 3 days early next april - "just in case" - if we run into the problems you did - we'll miss a few fun days at the park, but at least not miss the ship!!! that would be devastating...glad you made it okay though !!!

yikes!! that's horrible...but i'm glad you didn't miss the ship!! i would've been so stressing...wouldn't even be funny!!

that would be so cool, if all of us can be on the ship together. kinda like a "reunion" trip!!

sometimes, i wish i weren't just restricted to "regular" vacation times, cuz it's always so much more (price wise) during those times. but oh well...we work, so we can play!

how did you all spend your summer? i know Nancy & Katie got to go to castaway cay...(lucky!!) us...we went camping for the very first time! our DSs really enjoyed it. i was a bit apprehensive, and really nervous about the whole thing...have never been camping, ever! but we had a great time!! it wasa so much fun!! we also took a mini trip to vegas. that was fun. you all know i love to eat, and all those buffet, all you can eat places!! yum, yum! and our DSs had swimming lessons! oh...and...(drum roll, please!)...my DH & i have officially became an uncle & an auntie!!!!!!!!! our DSs are so excited about their very first cousin!! we are so thrilled!!

anyways...i've rattled on! :flower:

Congrats Auntie.

I have 1 nephew who is starting his second year of college. :scared1:

We didn't do much else other than go to the pool and the cruise/WDW. Matt had summer music program the month of July and band practice Tuesday nights. The last week of August 9-4 he's at band camp to get ready for the first band performance at the first football game 9/8. After that it's practices and football games constantly. October they are going overnight to Massachussetts to perform at the Univ. of Mass. and Six Flags. It's going to be a very busy fall.
