August 12, 2011 Disney Dream Meet Link Here

Ok small world!! I was also going back and reading old posts and found this. We also live in Liberty Twp! We are not at POFQ before, just one night at Pop and then the week after at WL. So funny!

I haven't been on in a while, but I saw this and had to post! I live in Washington DC now, but I grew up in West Chester and went to Lakota. My mother still lives there and is coming with us on the cruise. She's in Union Twp. Very small world!

Andrea

Rae - for some reason I missed that post about you being in Lakota! We aren't far apart at all - we are in South Centerville close to Springboro.

Glad your kids are back today! You will have fun catching up.

We are leaving for POFQ 4 weeks from tomorrow, can you believe it? I plan to do a modified version of "drinking around the world" at Epcot on Day 1. Cannot wait!!!

Where in Liberty Twp are you? I'm on the corner of Kyles Station and Yankee.

Too funny. Your mom can bond with my mom!:rotfl: my son will be a freshman @ Lakota east and Melina will be in the 6th grade.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! This thread is getting busy!!!

Gary - Janet is one lucky lady. Such a thoughtful gift! I would have no idea what to choose. I'm sure once she's on board it will be easier.

Let me know about the Facebook group. I'm on there all the time too. It's so easy to access and post (especially pictures) from my cell phone.

I too call it MGM. Old habits die hard.
I can't wait to see "Wishes" and ride "Mission Space". Those are my 2 favorite things to do at WDW.

Glad to hear the birthday celebrations went well!!! My mouth would start drooling with those awesome options!

My ME tags finally came in for OKW and BLT. It's getting real now!!

For those of you who are staying at WDW prior to the cruise, what are your plans? Tues we'll just be hanging out at OKW by the pool. Wednesday we'll be switching to BLT and enjoying Epcot (aka :drinking1 around the world) for my birthday. Thursday will be a waterpark day (since we all seem to have those left on our old passes) followed by Wishes from the TOWL.

I'd be happy to start a group on FB if anyone wants me to. I'd just need to have everyones names sent to me. It only takes a minute to set up!

You can find me on fb @ Rae Rygelski McCurley. We will be at magic kingdom on the 11th because they are having early magic hours. We can get in @8 am. Wed will be epcot and tues. Afternoon will be MGM since we arrive in Orlando @ 10am. :banana: thanks to whoever ends up setting up fb.:worship:Guess what I'm doing?:laundy:

OMG Rae are you kidding me that your exes' girlfriend honestly thought the kids wanted to stay longer? Can you imagine that she has no concept that they would miss their mom?!?! :confused: But at least you have them home now. Too funny the comment from your son that he was ready 6 days ago LOL He seems like he has a great sense of humor.

Castle4us - Great idea to spend your savings at Remy doing the wine tasting... You'll also need to plan an entire day to watch all those Harry Potter movies. But it will be worth it because it will just make you more psyched to go.

Lexandme - I LOVE Mission Space! My all time favorite is Splash Mountain. Everyone laughs because I hate the drop at the end. I could do without that, but the ride is just so awesome. I know I know - I'm crazy:eek:

What about everyone else? What's your favorite ride? Or your favorite parrt of the cruise? I'll have to answer the cruise question later, since we are newbies...

On Facebook we are: Jamey N Steve Levis

So, I set the group up on FB. Do a search on FB for "Disney Dreamers August 2011" and you'll find it! Just send a request to join!

Thanks for setting up the FB group! I've been at my aunt's pool all day with the kids and did not have my computer with me. We're still not home yet, but it was a productive day... We planned another cruise while we were at her house for next august! It's going to be her 75th birthday next year (& our 20th anniversary) and she wanted to go on a family cruise. The only thing is that she NEEDS a casino!!! So Disney is out :( We decided to go with a 7 day western on the carnival dream... Hopefully, it will be good too!

We went on a royal Carib. cruise in nov. Keep in mind, the Disney cruise is a whole other standard than ANY other cruise line out there. If you have kids or if you don't. I will NEVER stray from Disney again. Favorite ride: SOARIN!

I know, that's what concerns me a bit... we've been on NCL and hated it.... RCL and CCL and they were both ok...but they were both older ships - we are done with older ships!!! That is why Nick and I went on the Disney Dream for our adults only cruise in March... it was the only ship that did a short cruise on a new ship - plus we LOVE DCL....:love: But there was no convincing the rest of the group - the oldies need their casino!!! :rolleyes1

So we agreed that we would find a new ship. I have some friends who have been on this ship and had a great time, and the stops in Cozumel, Belize, Isla Rotan, and Costa Maya sound interesting... so while I KNOW it won't be Disney - the price is much better, and we can still do our 3 days at Universal before the cruise.

Favorite Ride: Tower of Terror - but we are not going to any of the parks this trip :scared1: We are going to Sea World and Aquatica after the cruise... but we are staying at POR! Anyone else staying there???

My Brothers would be the same way. When I say Disney cruise they ask if Disney has a casino. LOL

With all the casino's around PA & N.J. you would think someone could live with-out one for a week? A few years ago, I would have felt the same way, over the years I foolishly parted with my money at casino's......now I just give it to Disney. LOL

We are flying in the day of the cruise. We are staying 6 nights at BLT on DVC points after the Dream cruise.

Favorite Ride.....can't pick one, hard to pick one per park.

MK = Space Mountain
EP = Soarin
MGM = Tower of Terror or Rock n Roller Coaster
AK = Expedition Everest

Thanks for setting up FB. I requested to join.

Gary.. I love it! I always say, "Disney is my addiction".

Lani - We are staying at Wilderness Lodge after the cruise, but my in-laws are staying at POR. :)

My mom will also be with us on the cruise... we will have to make sure they have a chance to meet! She will be spending a lot of time hanging out at the pool, I suspect!!!

Also, Rae... I think it was you who asked about the Sheraton on the day we are at Nassau... That is where we are planning on going that day. I read on cruise critic that it is a nice place to spend the day, full use of the beach and pools - and we can just get a day pass from them when we get there.

I also requested to join the Facebook group. (Judy Hickey)

We are arriving at WDW early on Wed.and staying at AKL. The plans are to go to MGM, dinner at Coral Reef and the remainder of the evening at Epcot. Thursday we start the day at Animal Kingdom, dinner at Cape May Cafe and the evening at Magic Kingdom. It's going to be a non-stop whirlwind tour but the kids are convinced we can do it. I may drop out and let them run at their own pace!

You guys were chatty this weekend!!!

I made one of my DDs tutus last night for pirate night. For my first tutu, I think it came out adorable! I will have to post a picture of it later. I am planning on ironing on some cute girly pirate skulls on pink shirts later and making one more tutu and I should be done with pirate night. Hubby and I usually wear jeans, t-shirt and some sort of pirate gear.

I am almost done with our FE gifts! I keep adding stuff to it and now I need to wait on something in the mail and it will be complete. I can't wait to deliver it to all of you!

I am on facebook and requested to be added to our facebook group. The cruise is coming up on us fast! So exciting!!

Sounds like there's a few of us going to Epcot on Wednesday! We'll have to wave as we pass each other!

There must be a delay with the requests. I got Gary this morning, but haven't seen the other two pop up yet. If they don't show up before I leave for work I'll do them when I get home around 730.

I posted this on the group too, but would anyone mind me adding 2 of my fellow cruisers to the group? They're not on the DIS but love everything Disney and are having a blast planning the cruise. I think they'd get a kick out of meeting everyone in advance.
