August 10, 2013 Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy

How should we split the FE?

  • Split the FE list in half (2 groups 22 - 26 staterooms)

  • Stick to the idea of a headcount (3 groups (14/15 staterroms)

Hello everyone. Looks like my family and I are planning to join you all on this trip!

We just got off the Fantasy's Eastern Cruise (June 16-23) and we loved it so much that we rebooked on-board for August of 2013. Since the Fantasy is so fresh on my mind, I'm more than willing to field any questions you might have.

Can't wait to meet you all!

Welcome! :flower3:
It's wonderful to have you along as well - especially as you will be able to answer all our questions about the Fantasy. ;)
I am sure I will have a lot of questions once I have started the "more" in detail planning for this cruise when we will return from this year's vacation. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

We were on the March 11th MR Wonder cruise this year and booked the March 9th cruise out of Galveston for next year on board. We are Texans and were excited to cruise out of Texas but the draw of the Fantasy got the best of me. I moved our cruise over to this one. I am a bit sad I have to wait 4 more months but am so looking forward to cruising on this new ship! I think my kids will love all the water areas and my 2 girls will love BBB so it is worth it. Plus we get an extra day!

There are 5 of us (ages are when we are on the cruise):
Me (Josh)
DW (Dawn)
DD9 (Zoe)
DD4 (Kamryn)
DS1 (Isaiah)

We are booked in a Cat 8B GTY since they didn't have any rooms left and maybe we'll get some pixie dust to a Cat 4 since we are a family of 5. I wouldn't be disappointed but it would be nice to have a verandah since that is what we booked on the Magic for March but to keep the costs the same I downgraded on the Fantasy. We had connecting 10A's on our first DCL cruise so I don't know what we'll be missing but I had my hopes up.

My wife and I think we'll be joining the FE this time too. We didn't participate last time because we didn't know if we would have time bringing along a 3 month old with us but this time we are ready. It should be a blast!

Welcome to our cruise thread! :goodvibes

I am sure the Fantasy is worth the four months longer wait. :thumbsup2 We have been on the Disney Wonder and Disney Dream several times and loved both ships. The new ships are HUGE, but oh so beautiful.

I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for you so you will get sprinkled with some pixie dust and get your stateroom upgrade. ;)

I added you to both the list of cruisers and the list of FE participants and I updated my online list!
Only a little over a year and we all will be on the Fantasy! :thumbsup2

Hello all! We will be joining in on the eastern Fantasy fun as well! We just enjoyed the Fantasy Western Caribbean cruise June 23-30! We actually booked this cruise on day one of booking but I can only concentrate on one cruise at a time!

This will be our 4th DCL cruise.
We are a family of 4... Jami, Scott, ds3 Anderson and dd6 Jennifer.
We just enjoyed a verandah room on the Fnatasy courtesy of the DVC deal and are booked in a 10A room for next year's cruise.

We will be traveling with another family that we traveled to China with when we adopted our daughters together. This will be their first cruise!

So excited to start planning!:goodvibes

How nice to have you joining us. How exciting that you just got off a Western Caribbean cruise. :goodvibes

I added you to the list of cruisers in my first post and cannot wait to start planning for this cruise with you all. :goodvibes

I am currently sitting at MCO awaiting my flight home after a trip to Disney and "the other park". Ahhhhh....daydreaming of 13 months from now!

What did you make them into ?????

Some were a key ingredient in a yummy cake, some were transformed into jam and some into compot. The rest got frozen. I do not like to keep my jam for too long, so by freezing the rest we can always have "fresh" jam. ;)
