Belated birthday wishes for Victoria. Her cupcakes looked so good.
Love the latest photo of Max. He's so cute!
Love, love, love the Figment bag. I wish Figment was still a meet & greet character. Well, I really wish his ride was the original and you could still meet Dreamfinder with a Figment puppet like I saw in 1996.
I will let Victoria know - thank you Bernadette!
I have never ridden the original Figment ride, only the current one.
Good Morning D~! Been lurking, thought I would pop in to comment. LOVE the Figment pack, so cute. You know how much I that little purple guy!!!
Hi there Oopsi! It's great to see you... I miss seeing you around so much.
So sorry to hear about Josh's injuries! I do hope some rest will do good for his recovery.
I hope so, it looks like he is attempting to go to work today.
You are a very busy lady as always. So excited for your trip coming up!
I just hope I can get everything done on time... I have less than a month until my pay off date - and I am feeling the stress! I will be super happy once it's paid off, because then I can start working on our fun stuff for the trip - boy do I have a list!
OMG Poor Josh! This getting old thing does suck sometimes! I hope he's feeling better soon.
I agree - at least he seems to be up and moving today.
[Good luck getting everything done today...including the hair appointment!
Thanks - I didn't get nearly as much done as I'd wanted to... but more on that below.
[So sorry about the car repair cost...always something isn't it? Or so it seems!
I know - I am about ready to pull my hair out.
[Glad your plans are coming together and everything seems like it's in place for a fabulous trip!
Thanks - it seems to be.
[My current countdown is 17 days...still hard to believe I'm going alone but really looking forward to it. Kinda on the fence right now and was considering last night taking the little girl. I know she'd be a great travel companion and PROBABLY would not complain too much, would just be happy to go along. However there's another part of me that just wants to be a little bit selfish this time. Those two parts are still duking it out in my head and heart so we'll see who wins.
I am booked for Shades of Green and really looking forward to trying it out AND being so close to the Poly and the monorail. I have a rental car but it will be nice to not even have to worry about that too much.
This is going to be an awesome trip. We stayed at SoG in 2008, it was a very enjoyable resort, and I would stay there again, if I wasn't so spoiled from the Disney resorts. LOL You will have such a great time. Are you flying down this time?
Just a drive by note, you said MM nose turned pink. Do you use pastic food dishes? If so that might be why. That is what happened with our first dog.
Hi Erin! LOL - nope, no plastic dishes for MM... All metal.
Hope your DH will take it easy for a few days so his back and ribs can recover.
He looks to be getting ready for work today... Hopefully he goes easy.
Sorry to hear about your unexpected car expense. How nice that your BFF is able to pick it up for you. You just reminded me I think my DH needs to get the AC in our mini van recharged.
It's OK... Yes, it was very nice of her to bring it home for me.
Hope you love your hair. Emma & I went just before our trip. It had been a year since we went. I told the stylist that Emma is "burdened" by her thick hair so I wanted to cut off as much as possible but still have it long enough to easily braid as that it the ONLY way she will wear it-she's been growing it out for years now. I didn't discovered til the morning of our trip that the stylist had layered the back of her hair so it would fall nicely if she had it down. BUT Emma NEVER wears it down so now we have all these little ends sticking out when we braid it.
Hope the concert goes well tonight.
I do love how my hair turned out - I love my stylist so much! I would be so annoyed if someone cut the girls' hair that way too, they always wear theirs in ponies or braids, so that would just annoy them and me. Hopefully Emma's grows fast enough that it won't be an issue for long.
Our flight lands about 6pm. I forget the exact time, if it is just before or just after. But, DH wants to change it to earlier. I doubt that is going to happen unless a money tree grows in our yard.
speaking of money trees....I'm sorry about your car expense. Why is it NEVER, oh I think you need a transmission, oh no I was wrong it's just a hose...?Never!
OK - that's good to know... We will be in MK that night, but we won't be there very late - or that's the plan anyways. Want to be in bed early and ready for the rest of our trip.
glad you are liking the way the auction item is coming out. I can't wait to see them all. Have you announced the date yet.. You know I have crs (can't remember...stuff).
LOL I have not announced the date for the BIG auction yet... The bag I am currently working on is the bag for the auction that starts tomorrow.

I plan to finish it up this morning (I hope) and get back to work on my custom order.
Now, what was I going to say....
Oh, yeah, I hope you are able to enjoy the chorus concert tonight. I miss those.
I hope Josh is feeling better very very soon. Continued prayers for him & all my disboard friends.
The choir concert was very nice, they all did a great job! Josh is headed to work - he is walking crooked, but he plan to try.
I hope Josh really starts to feel better soon.
Good luck getting everything done.
Thank you Sandra!
Poor Josh, its the simplest things that can throw a persons back out hope he is feeling better soon I miss those chorus concert nights too, such a nice relaxing evening, well once everyone has dinner, gets ready, and finally gets there I Don't miss the prep for it all Car troubles Uhh! always always something
Yes, it is always something. Josh is attempting to go to work today... I am not sure how he is going to do it - he can barely walk.
I know you're under a lot of time pressure for your auctions this week one thing at a time keep going little engine that could you'll make it I have no doubt
Exactly... I must get up there early today though.
have a great night all !
Ruthie
I hope you had a good night too!
**********************************************************
So, yesterday... Where do I begin?
I made an executive decision to set aside my custom order. My auction bag has to be ready by this afternoon so I can take pictures and write the listing. My custom order does't have to be in the mail until Monday... So, as soon as I am done taking pictures today - it will be back to work on my custom order bag. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't do that, but this deadline really snuck up on me.
So, then... while I was finishing up my applique for the auction bag - I came up with a hair brained idea for the auction bag... Which required me to learn a new machine in under 30 minutes.

So, what did I do? I learned a new machine... Sometimes I really think I am nuts.
I thought I shared the story here - but it's possible I didn't. I know I shared it over in the Disboutiquer thread. But last week, a friend of mine from work let me *use* her embroidery machine for as long as I want it. If I decide I want to keep it, I will add her to my bag list next year (my earliest opening) and she will pay me $$ to boot. It's a pretty good deal - but I am not certain it is the right machine for me. The first obsticle is that it doesn't take a USB, it only takes the Brother design cards... It has a bunch of preloaded Disney designs (which I would never use), and about 4 pre-loaded fonts. If I ever purchased an embroidery machine, it would be used strictly for writing, and nothing more - since I enjoy doing hand applique so much - and let's face it, that is one of the reasons my items are so unique, so I would never change that part.
Anyways... As I was finishing up my applique yesterday, I got to thinking that this bag would really be fun if I was able to put some writing on it... So, with in a half hour of my hair appointment, I decided it would be nice to learn a new machine.

And I did. LOL It took me 1 try before I left for my appointment, and I thought the font was a bit too small for what I wanted... So, when I got home, I tried for a bigger font, and it worked. I am excited to show you all when I finish the bag today... And the best part... What normally takes me hours to do when I "write" with my machine - this seriously spit it out in 5 minutes... It was really cool! So, now it has me rethinking my whole "no embroidery machine" stance... I might end up getting one at some point... after our trip, of course.
My hair appointment took my entire afternoon yesterday, but I really needed it done, as my *cough* gray highlights were really starting to show through. It turned out cute, I decided to do the burgurndy highlights again, however, I am starting to get a little sick of this cut... I might try something a little more bold next time.
By the time I got home, it was time to start dinner... I told everyone it was a free for all last night with left overs... So, we all ate randomly - which is something we very rarely do.
Then I took V to town for her concert... We did not get home until almost 9pm... I had every intention of going back to work in my sewing room, but I was so tired, I went straight to bed, and don't remember a thing.
Anyways... I better get a move on my day... I will be holed up in my sewing room until dinner time tonight, and I may go up again after dinner to see if I can make any more progress.
Look for auction bag pictures this afternoon - I have a feeling you will love this bag! I know I do.
Have a wonderful day everyone - and I hope you all are feeling better.
