Attention all MNSSHPers

I am going with my family and soon to be inlaws and freinds (were going the day after our wedding at seabreeze point.) there will be 14 of us. I'm not overly worried about it because my fiance and I go every year. And they do a rather good job of clearing out the park.

What they do is close off all the "Lands" and force everyone into the hub and ask people to leave . They really have no choice theres no where else to go and nothing to do. everyone seems to get the point.

for example: we have dinner at liberty tree at about 5 -530 every time we go, and we needed our wirst bands to even wait for dinner because they were making every body exit liberty tree square and frontier land.

Yes, most of us know past procedures (closing of the lands etc...) but this year the reason most are concerned is there is NO closing of the park. The park will close to day guests at 7:00p and the party also starts at 7:00p so how can they close the lands to clear the park this year when the closing and beginning times are the same (7:00p)? That is the question. How will they handle it this year with the park not closing for an hour? :confused3

Time will tell. I can't wait to hear back from Sept 15 party goers.

I guess I will be sending another e-mail b/c I still have not received a response other than the automated one. I also posted on the UK board as Lindy Loo suggested so hopefully we'll get some additional help. I also want to say that at least for my family we didn't pay extra money for tickets just so we could ride rides which seems to be what some people are saying that as long as CMs don't let non-ticket holders on rides then everything is okay. I don't want to fight with thousands of day guests for a spot to see the parade or watch the special shows or take my son to see characters. I just don't understand why on the two Night of Joy concerts they are closing the parks 1.5 hours early but nothing for the Halloween and Christmas parties. Enough venting here - time to go write that e-mail!

Wasn't there another post on the boards saying they decided to got back to the onld way. I.E. closing the lands and forcing non ticket holders out? I'll have to try and search for it. Also aren't the MNSSHP parade and fireworks well after 7pm so even if they don't force people out just monitor wristbands, won't most poeple be out by then? Sorry if I sound stupid or contorversial I don't mean to be, just asking questions.

Wow! Imagine the people coming in that will be interfering with people coming out, or is it the other way around? The entrance of the park will be really, really crowded BOTH ways, and this is something you dont see everyday at Disney!
I sure don`t want to miss seeing this! LOL

Update:Sorry, but I forgot! Is this how Disney thinks now, and what about SECURITY issues?
First they check your purse for security issues, and then they don`t care about putting too many people together in just one place?

I was thinking (for hours and hours of course :teeth: ) about the notion of me -a paying MNSSHPer -possibly "turning in" a non wristband-wearing party crasher. You know... I don't think I could do it. Say, for example, a see a family including children without wristbands. Like I'm gonna be the one to tell a CM to run them out?!!? Gawrsh Disney, thanks a lot for putting me in the position to even think such a thing.

Many of us have already seen that. However one person on here has already said that they called yesterday and was told that the park would close at 7pm. So we're still hearing inconsistency and people are still not getting their emails responded to. Basically the only way we'll know for sure is when the 9/15 party goers come back and report here. I, unfortunately, will be one of those guinea pigs.

I sent an email yesterday. (already sent 2 a couple of weeks ago with just some questions about the hours of the party and closing). This one said I was concerned and irritated... Did point out the 6pm closing time is still in effect for Night of Joy in my email, though I know that's a totally different thing. Also commented on how this topic is being discussed heavily on an online board with over 100,000 members ;) , which I know they're aware of.

The cast member I spoke to yesterday at Guest Services said that MK will close at 6 on MNSSHP nights... I said well the WDW webiste shows it will close at 7 and they all looked puzzled... and they once again said that MK will close at 6.

Who knows... But regardless we will be there with bells on, and CANT WAIT!

I finally got a response from 1 of the emails I sent. Here it is, for all its worth. :confused3

Umm..so are you going to call to help them to 'research it' :confused3 I would, I think that they don't think you'll call. I would call, I would give him the chance to explain what the heck is going on and voice the displeasure of MANY!
Let us know!
Hey, you got more of a response than we did!! :badpc:

That is why I always end my emails/letters with my phone number, and the last two times I wrote them, they called me instead of emailing me back.

Of course, this time, I haven't heard a peep yet. I'll let you know if they either call or write. I'll be at disney one week from today so I hope they respond before then.

Well, that's the exact same email I got about my email sent back in July regarding our June/July trip. I wrote about some experiences we had with CMs and a not-so-great experience with the wait staff @ Maya Grill & the kitchen mgr at SSR:

Also, I DID include my full name, address AND phone number and still got this email. I called the # and left my info again, she called me the following day.

My take on this after reading the differnt posts is that it probably lies somewhere in between. I bet they will start closing the lands and moving people towards the hub and out by around six. They will make announcements and as usual people will get the hint. No non banded/ ticket entry after 7.
I realy dont think people would stay just for the 2 parades and hallowishes. theres sooooo much else to do at night than hang around a park to ONLY do that.

I got one of these today from a different guy.

O.K. everyone, here's my latest addition to this mess....I just got off the phone with Yolanda at Event Ticketing where she said...I quote "at 6:00 p.m they will be asking all non-ticket holders to leave the park for the up coming party". Helen

Last year a friend and I went to MNSSHP one night and then 2 nights later decided to just stay on Main Street long enough to see the parade again. I know this is wrong and am not proud to admit it, but I am just telling the truth. Anyway, we got approached by a CM who told us we needed to leave. We were by the Plaza restaurant then so we said okay then went to the bathroom. When we came out, he was there again and reminded us to leave. So, we walked slowly down Main Street then stopped in one of the little cubby-hole areas with flowers and benches and sat down for a bit. (I know we were really pushing it!!) A few minutes passed and he came there and told us to leave again. This time we did leave but decided to hang out in the area out front to see the costumes passing by and even out there another CM approached us and told us we had to exit through the turnstyles. Neither of these CM's were rude but definitely persistant and it was amazing to us that they narrowed in on us this way as if we had sensors or something. We defintely noticed other people hanging around that did not appear to have wristbands so I am not sure how they choose whom to approach. Again, I know this was wrong of us and can't be justified but please don't flame- just take it for what it is. Just wanted to share our experience with this much debated issue. We do plan to go again this year (with tickets!) and do not want to share the park all night with a bunch of non-paying guests so I really see now that what we thought was okay is really not fair to paying guests. I hope the CM's are as persistant with them as they were with us although it appears many people have snuck past them.
