Thanks for the info. This is a great little airline and I've flow them rt twice this year with 2 more trips already reserved. As with any airlines now, this is always expected. I can't tell you how many times I've watched news about possible strikes. I can't imagine how anyone could buy a airline ticket far in advance with the way airlines are now. I get nervous when I buy 2 months before my trip. I've been known to buy my tickets 2 weeks before. I've be watching this news as my next trip is 5 weeks away. I even have 3 free companion tickets coming since we have flown twice within the timeframe to receive them. Hopefully I can use them.

There is absolutley nothing to worry about unless you are flying Independence Air. No US airline is going to suddenly go under and file Chapter 7 bankruptcy - except Independence Air - a bankruptcy filing is inevitable, and it would be Chapter 7, most likely.

Northwest's pending strike could also be a problem, though, but you will at least be reaccomadated.

Ah, that's too bad. My brother and SIL just moved 10 minutes from Dulles and are expecting their first baby in October - I was hoping to become a regular on IA so I could see my new niece more often!
