Anyway...I want a ticker like you all got...and I can't find them when I do a google search...(dumb blonde at the keyboard you know)..I need to change some info since we will be at WDW on the 9th before the Cruise!!
So fess up..where can I get one??!!

I saw the thread about the football games. Hubby and I would love to watch Monday Night Football on the cruise. However, I think that tropical night is on Monday. How long do the tropical night activities last? Will I still have time to see some tight ends?

Rose, we hope to catch at least some of MNF, even if it means working around the tropical night festivities. Just make sure you don't walk behind Tim and I on the way there; those ain't tight ends. My butt's so big, I make a beeping noise if I walk backwards. My belt size is 'equator'. Sometimes when I jump in the air, I get stuck. My blood type is French Vanilla. But enough of me...

MeMe, you'd have no trouble spotting Kamy and my DW doing Willy Wonka tunes after a few sailaway drinks. The only thing more embarrassing than that is me telling people to stop staring and mind their own business! What, they've never seen somebody on vacation before??

Tim and I sometimes get locked into Yoda mode, or Cartman mode also. Sometimes even Crocodile Hunter. It's all very childish. Quite immature. Utterly shameful.


I can't wait.

I would love to watch the football with you all as I am sport mad, But after watching numerous games I cannot understand it. Why can't you play Soccer, Rugby or cricket?

We will be arriving at Carribean Beach on thursday Oct 9th and staying there till we get to board the ship.(we are doing the 7 day land & sea trip.) We are supposed to land in Orlando around 9:30am.
That would be cool if we could meet up ahead of time!!
I think I figured out which parks we will be visiting on what days. I've read that there is gonna be a big shing-ding at Epcot on the 9th for Mission Space. Epcot is even closing at 3pm that day. I'd like to weasel our way into that...but I don't know if it's doable!!

Since you all are "seasoned veterans" at this...could you give me some advice on the days I picked to go to each park.
This is what I was thinking:
after we check in on thurs. --MGM go to Magic Kingdom for the evening parades
friday --Magic Kingdom til it closes @ 6pm and then Downtown Disney and DisneyQuest
Saturday --Animal Kingdom and do the Breakfastasaurus. When Animal Kingdon closes hit what we didn't get to see or want to do again.

How does that sound? I'm trying to hit the parks on their least crowded days.

I haven't checked on the schedule for the days you are going so I couldn't really tell you if your order is all that. What I can tell you is that depending on the age of your kids, you won't need to stay at AK till close. You could go for part of the day and plan to go to EPCOT for the other half of the day. Kamgen will back me up on this.

On a not so busy day at AK, you can pretty much see and do most of the park by 2pm...then head over to EPCOT. That is a great day....

If you have small kids, you won't need a full day at EPCOT at all...

Our boys are 8 and 5...they are the ones celebrating b-days while we are cruising...
I want to check out Epcot (especially Mission Space)...but most everyone we know who's been to WDW have said that it's too boring for them...not true??

They would like EPCOT for part of the day, but unless it is swamped, you don't need to be there all day with small kids.

If you go for the later afternoon and evening, you can spend a few hours in FW and then go to WS for dinner and watch the fireworks show (Illuminations)! It is fantastic.

For what it is worth, my kids really enjoy Epcot and our family found plenty to take up a full day at AK. I honestly think that some people miss some of the major attractions at AK (maybe they have confusing maps or because the names of various attractions are similar). By the time you do all of the "things" and see the parade it is closing time. I know the first time we went we totally missed the walk through thing with the tigers and huge bats and other cool animals. And then the safari, and petting zoo area and rapids and the shows, etc.

Even little kids seem to enjoy the Family Fun stations throughout the World Showcase, as well as getting their passports stamped and signed. I love the interaction with the CM's from other countries. They have several planned "meet and greet" sessions with the characters in Epcot now. Then there is the "educational" side which I personally tend to blow off, but the kids spent a while in the computer, photography, Innoventions area. The Land has lots of cute shows for small kids, Ellen's Universe of Energy is funny to most everyone, Test Track is great (not sure about your smallest, though, and not sure about Mission Space for anyone -- I can't handle spinning rides!), the rides at Mexico and Norway, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Spaceship Earth, Illuminations, so much else.......okay, I'll skip to one of my favorites at Epcot -- the FOOD!

So, I would respectfully disagree about only spending a few hours in either Epcot or AK with younger children.

I think you could enjoy entire days at both AK and EPCOT...heck, I could enjoy a week at EPCOT! LOL!!
BUT, I think what I was thinking was that you were short on time and wanted to best allocate the time you had. If that is true, then I would think that spending a 1/2 day at each is better than missing one completely.

JMHO! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Hey everybody I got my Docs today. If I didn't have this cold I could probably smell the carribean air that isabel brought up with her. What a let down I was more excited for the Nyquil I should be grateful I'm sick now instead of in 3 weeks.
