Did the age to start scans drop? Saw 5 year old had to scan in locked thread (a little harsh on Alexedan). Will start APs in Dec with 4 and 6 year old who likely won't want any part of a scan.

I've had AP's for years and only Adult passes which would include children 10 and older do the finger scan. The most probable reason small children don't do it is that the length and width of there fingers would change so dramatically that it would cause problems all of the time...

If kids ages 10 and older have to scan do they need to bring some kind of ID too? If so what is my DD age 14 supposed to bring?

Don't be surprised if your kids want to put their fingers in, too, b/c everyone else is. My youngest son has yet to get an adult AP but he ALWAYS does the scan or at least he thinks he does.:D

they had my 10,11,&12 yr old do the finger scan, but they didnt need any id. My 12 year old always had a hard time with those darn things, it seemed like it took forever for hers to register, she can never get her fingers in their the right way & squeeze right..lol

Well, I can't figure this out at all. We just returned and my 9-year-old, with a child's AP, had to have his fingers scanned every time. But my 14-year-old never did! Can someone explain that one?! And for what it's worth, I agree with 26555. I think the responses on that locked thread were out of line.
