I have a 6-month-old daughter who rarely sleeps through the night (maybe 4-5 times in her life). My pediatrician has told me that this is odd behavior for a child her age; "she should be sleeping through the night by now". Anecdotally, I've been talking to a few other parents who have indicated their children didn't sleep through the night consistently until they were as old as twelve months. How old were your kids when they slept through the night? Any advice you can give me?
ETA: I don't want this to turn into a flame war over crying it out vs. attachment parenting. I'm more interested in individual experiences.
Also ETA, for purposes of this poll, sleeping through the night constitutes 6-8 hours unbroken sleep.

It is a good thing he is so cute!
