At VGF now. Big Pine Key bathroom flooded while we slept

I thought that was always how Disney correspondence is - never acknowledgement that an issue is or might be their fault.

Never "We're sorry that xxx happened."

Sometimes something like "We're sorry that you felt inconvenienced."
Exactly, this phrasing is used so they are not accepting responsibility, and it's a template.
 
On hold with DVC now. got my 22 pt refund. of freaking course 13 points were banked from march 23 so they will only bank the 9 points that just missed the Oct 31 banking deadline.

What in the actual hell? This feels like such a slap in the face.

As per the supervisor I can use these 13 points by end of Feb 25 (as the points are now-banked from 23) or I can deposit by Jan 15 until RCI? I forget what its called and use by Dec 31 2026

I explained that this issue is not my fault. I didn't make a mistake on my points. I didnt bank wrong or cancel a trip. I had someone elses poop on my feet, backpack and clothes.

Nope. Those are the RULES. those points were banked so there is nothing they can do.

Unfortunately, they can’t legally bank points that are banked.

I would respond to them to ask to check what points were used for the reservation to ensure they didn’t keep current ones and return banked instead.

If the entire trip was with all banked points but those 9 then those would be the only ones left to return.

So, you’d need to see if they will do something else instead to compensate you then point return.

I woke at at 3:30 to a half an inch of water i the bathroom. The tub has black stuff in it like it came up from the drain. We didnt use the shower at all as we checked in last night.

It felt familiar as I thought about it. I searched the boards but couldnt find a post about it.

I went to the front desk. They will begrudgingly switch our room like a regular check out. We have to pack up and check our bags and leave at bell services.

It is a 1st floor studio in BPK so I am now doing laundry to clean our stuff that got soaked. Of course I had set up my back pack and put it on the bathroom floor (opposite the sink area) because I wake earlier that my family and like to change and walk the resort.

Did anyone else have a leak in BPK?

The cart of fresh towels that is in the hallway right next to our door feels like it was a bit of foreshadowing.View attachment 909631
Sorry that happened, such a bummer! The linen carts have been outside all GF rooms for years to my memory.

I bet they could do something to fix it. I would never in a million years thought that after waking up to poop water in my bathroom that I would have to beg to be refunded for that one night!
