We are in the final week to our Grand Gathering at the Port Orleans Riverside yippppeee!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait!:cool1::banana::cool1:

I will be packing our checked baggage this weekend, which has made me think about a few last minute questions:

1. Are there life jackets for my wee ones to rent at the POR main pool and quiet pools while we are there?

2. Are their lockers or something of the sort that we could put any carry on luggage when we arrive (our flight arrives at 9:30am) before we are allowed to check in, so we can go straight to the park without having to lug around carryon bags? (Disney will be taking our checked baggage from the airport)

3. How much are the refillable mugs, and are they worth it?

Thanks so much everyone!!!!!

Not sure about renting life jackets, but they do have life jackets for you to use there (at least at FQ cause that's where we stayed). However, I really prefer the ones you can buy at Walmart etc (the red ones) as these ones don't seem to do as good a job with the very little ones.

If you are going to arrive at MCO for 9:30 a.m, then your room should be ready by the time you get to Riverside. Ours was ready when we checked in and we arrived around the same time as you.

Refillable mugs are great, IMHO. Speaking of refillable mugs, there were a lot of guests using last years mugs. There was one woman, who we picked up from SSR and was carrying a DVC tote and a last years mug. I know this is a hot topic on the Dis, but know one really cares what mug you use. I'm not saying it is right or wrong and definitely don't want a debate, but just saying what I saw.

Have an awesome trip.

.

Not so.....check in is at 3pm at POR. The room might be ready but don't count on it. A flight arriving at 9:30am will get you to the resort somewhere around 11:30am.

The mugs cost $12.99 plus tax. Are they worth it?....that really depends on the person. If you have the DDP it is a little harder to get your moneys worth because you get drinks with your meals. If you plan to be at your resort hanging around the pool you will have more use for it. If you are going to be in the parks everyday or almost everyday most likely you won't use it. On the monetary side of things a soda or coffee costs about $2.50 so you would need to use the mug 5.5 times to break even. You are left with a nice souvenir afterward.
