My Disney Birthday Wish Came True! – June 2025 Trip Report (Updated 6/16!)

Woo hoo! New trip report. I'm still sad our trips didn't overlap a little so we could meet in person. (Although, we DO live in the same state. LOL) I'm glad your travel day went well. Can't wait to hear about all the birthday events.
:welcome: Yeah, it's always fun to meet fellow Dis-ers while there, maybe one of these days our trips will align!

Happy Birthday!!! Bummer about not getting the row to yourself but I'm already jealous of a Minnie van from the airport - fancy! :D

Thank you!! It would have been nice to have my own row, oh well! Yeah, taking the Minnie Van from the airport is awesome, just another reason we love CL!

Day 1, Part 2: Coronado Springs Club Level Deluxe Suite!

We last left off pulling into Coronado Springs!

The Minnie Van driver helped me bring my bags inside, mostly because I left my tip money in the bag he threw in the back so we had a delightfully awkward moment of me telling him he couldn’t leave until I found my wallet since I had to give him more money! :rotfl2: So he decided to take my other bags inside while I dug around for the money to tip him to make it slightly less awkward.

Once inside, and Minnie Van driver tipped, I went to the check-in desk. They got me all checked in, and my room was ready, yay. But I did have to ask about club level access since the CM checking me in didn’t notice that I was club. Once she realized she took me upstairs to check-in a second time.

I’m glad she did since my magic band wasn’t working on the door to the lounge at that point.

There was a line to check-in up there, so it was a bit of a wait. Finally, a CM freed up and took me over to a table to finish checking me in and verify my magic bands would work on the door. She also ran to get me a welcome POG-mosa. I LOVE those things!

Even though my room was ready, I decided to stay in the lounge to finish my drink and just take a breather. I feel like from getting to my home airport through to arriving at the hotel I’m in a constant state of stress, so it’s nice to arrive and just breath finally.

The lounge was lovely, I really liked how large it was, and the views were stunning! Although, similar to the lounge at the Beach Club, this one always felt a bit chaotic. No matter what time of day it was usually pretty crowded in there, and there seemed to be a lot more little kids running around than in other lounges we’ve been to. Not to say I don’t expect to see kids, it is Disney after all, but this lounge seemed like it was mostly families with younger kids, while other ones we’ve been to have been a mix of families with kids and adult only parties. I felt a bit like the odd one out being the only adult only party there!

After finishing up my drink I gathered all my luggage and made my way downstairs to my room. I was on the third floor, so a long way from the club lounge, BUT about a week before the trip I saw on my MDE app that I had been upgraded to a deluxe suite from just a standard room, so I couldn’t complain!

The room was nice, although it was odd having that much space for myself!

I also put together this video:

It was also weird there was no window in the bedroom, although I quickly realized that was a good thing since the room was directly above the bus stop, so in the living room I could hear the beeping of the buses constantly with the windows, but in the bedroom I didn’t hear a thing.

Next up: Lunch and Dinner at Chronos Club!

Wow, the suite is really gorgeous! Too bad you didn't have more than a night to enjoy it. The only times I've ever been upgraded was for one-night stays as well ... think it's a thing. My CL experience is very limited so I hadn't considered that the lounge might not be on the same floor as my room. Is that common? Talk about spoiled, I'm sure the elevator is easy enough. 🤣 I'm somewhat surprised there were so many kids in the lounge. Yes, it's Disney but I primarily think of it as a convention resort, guess the secret is out on all the great dining and amenities!

The room was really nice, I was surprised how big it was! I also loved the decor, the tile in the half bath on the wall was beautiful, I want to copy it in my house!

Yeah, it was a bit annoying the room was so far from the lounge. There are a few resorts where the suites are not on the same floor as the lounge, like the BC/YC. Coronado is a bit of an outlier where a lot of the club rooms, even the standard rooms, aren't on the same floor as the lounge. I'm not sure why they set it up like that, but in the end it wasn't that big of a deal, the elevators were fast, and my room was right by them, so it wasn't a ton of walking to get there.

I was definitely surprised at how many young kids were in the lounge, especially since the food didn't seem very kid friendly there. However they do seem to cater to kids in other ways, like they have a toy bin with tons of toys free to use. Plus I'm guessing since it's relatively a low price for a club room (I think with the discount I only paid like $575) it's a bit more popular with families since they can "save money" eating a few meals at the lounge so in the end the price isn't much more than a regular moderate resort room where they have to buy meals for everyone each day.

That room is gorgeous!!! I keep thinking about trying CS tower. I was actually going to do it for Thanksgiving but alas, that trip is not going to happen now. I'll just look at your pictures and dream a little!

That is a really nice room. I love the shower. But I do agree that it is a little weird not having a bedroom window.

It was really nice, even nicer than the one bedroom suite we stayed in at the Beach Club which was surprising!

Oh no! I'm sorry your Thanksgiving trip isn't happening! Maybe a FArts trip is in your future instead? ::yes::

The room was gorgeous, but yeah, it was so weird not having a window! At least it kept it quiet, and in the morning, nice and dark so I didn't wake up earlier than needed!

Staying club level sounds lovely. Someday!!!
It is really nice, but yeah, it can be pricey! I wish we could do club level every trip! I will say though, if you can get a discount at CSR the price isn't bad compared to other club levels, I think I paid around $575 for that night with the discount.

Day 2, Part 3: Lunch and Dinner at Chronos Club!

We last left off with me settling into my room at CSR!

Once settled in a bit I did a google meet with my mom to show her the room. Once that was done, I decided to head back up to the lounge to see what kind of snacks they had out for lunch.

There wasn’t much out, less than I’ve seen at other clubs, but they did have chips with guac and pico de gallo, which was amazing! They also had chocolate muffins. Everything, including the chips, tasted freshly made. This was the perfect snack to hold me over until dinner! I also grabbed an iced tea. So while fewer options than I’ve seen at other clubs, I would say it was better than the normal crudité, chips, cookies, and uncrustables.

After finishing up my snack the lack of sleep really hit me, so I headed back to my room to take a nap.

I ended up napping for about an hour, it was really really needed. I felt much better afterwards!

It was about 4 when I woke up, so too early to check out the hors d’oeuvres, so I decided to walk around the resort to check things out.

I really liked the flooring in the elevators...

PXL_20250603_194527659.jpg

A few minutes before 5 I headed back up to the lounge to see what the food options were. This evening they had salmon cakes, patatas bravas, agave glazed carrots, mini corn dogs, a salad, pan con tomate, an assortment of cheeses, and a tomato gazpacho. The salmon cakes were really good, everything else was just ok. I was disappointed with the patatas bravas since that is one of my favorite tapas, but these were just not very good. The food was also not super filling, and again seemed like there were fewer options than all the other club level lounges we’ve tried. So while the afternoon snacks were a hit, the hors d’oeuvres were a miss for me.

I ended up grabbing some salad, a salmon cake, patatas bravas, and the carrots. I also got a glass of wine. This is one of the club levels where the CM pours the wine for you, which is ok, but I do prefer the ones where you can just the wine yourself.

PXL_20250603_210501131.jpg

After finishing that up I went up for round two and got the pan con tomate, some cheese, and the gazpacho.

PXL_20250603_211430963.jpg

I had planned to get the burger at Three Bridges a bit later that evening, but it was rented out for a private event, so never opened to the public. Bummer, I was really looking forward to trying that one out!

Instead, I ended up grabbing a to-go box to get another salmon cake, a mini corn dog, and some carrots, and then brought that back down to the room to enjoy at my dining table. I also grabbed some red wine to take with me.

I spent some time reorganizing my stuff and just relaxing for a bit before heading back up to the lounge later to grab desserts. The lounge was really packed this time around, but I found a table off to the side. I got some of the desserts and some more wine and sat there enjoying the gorgeous view for a while.

Finally a bit after 8:30 I headed downstairs to shower and just chill in my suite. I was still pretty tired from the lack of sleep the night before and wanted to get to bed early so I’d be fresher when my mom arrived the next day.

I ended up watching some tv and going to bed pretty early. I wish I could say it was a great night’s sleep, but once again sleep was hard to come by. This time was due to the AC in the room, whenever it kicked on, there was this super loud BANG that sounded like someone slamming a door. The first time it happened I thought someone had come into the room! It took a while to fall asleep with that, but I finally did!

It sounds like your Coronado Springs stay was a little underwhelming. The bang must have been annoying. We had a very loud blower on our AC unit at POR. This is when I miss the deluxe resorts. ;)

It would have nice if Three Bridges was open.

Yeah, there were some really nice aspects to it, like the room was beautiful, but some not great things as well. The banging AC was definitely a not great thing! I think the cover to the return may have been a bit loose, so when the air started flowing it pulled that metal piece against the wall making the bang. It was in the living room area, so when I first heard it and was in bed I was positive it was the door to the suite slamming shut since I couldn't see it, I was afraid to leave the bedroom to check it out at first!
It would have nice if Three Bridges was open.
It really would have. I wish they wouldn't rent it out on the same days that Toledo is closed, those were the two places I wanted to try and neither were open!

Day 2, Part 1: Goodbye Coronado, Hello Wilderness Lodge!

I woke up around 6:45 this morning, I wanted to hit up breakfast at the lounge before it got too crowded. So I quickly got changed and headed upstairs to check out the food offerings.

I ended up getting scrambled eggs, a sausage, and a French toast stick. Most of this was good, but the French toast stick was hard as a rock!

PXL_20250604_110507137.MP.jpg

After eating I headed back down to my room to pack my stuff and around 8:20 I called for a Minnie Van to take me over to Wilderness Lodge!

I arrived at Wilderness Lodge right around 9, and went to the front desk to check-in. This check-in experience was much better than over at CSR since the CM saw immediately that I was club level, so called for a club CM to come down to escort me up to the lounge to not only check-in, but also give me a tour! She also verified that they had my birthday button ready for me upstairs or if she needed to give me one down there. This just felt like a more elevated service at this check-in compared to other club levels we’ve stayed at. Plus, this is the first club level we’ve stayed at where they actually gave us a tour of more than just the food serving area!

The CL CM came down quickly and lead me over to the elevators by Roaring Fork since the other elevators weren’t going up to the 7th floor at this time due to the renovations.

Once on the 7th floor the CM brought me over to the window that overlooked the MK and told me this was the best place to watch the fireworks if we didn’t get a fireworks view from our room. I mentioned I hoped we could see the fireworks from our room to which she responded “I think you’ll be happy when you see your room” so it sounded promising we’d get a fireworks view!

She then led me down the hall with the club rooms, and I couldn’t help but to mention that this was the quietest Disney hotel hall I’ve ever experienced. Like it was eerily quiet walking down that hall, I felt like I was in a library, even the CM was whispering to me!

She then walked me over to the lounge and showed me how to use the fancy coffee machine, then showed me the various balconies we could also see the fireworks from and which ones had the best view. She also went to get me a welcome Geyser Grog Mimosa.

PXL_20250604_132149710.MP.jpg

Since my room wasn’t ready, I decided to hang out in the lounge and get second breakfast. The breakfast food at WL was slightly better than at CSR, mostly because it had a few more options and wasn’t quite as basic. There was a delicious egg white frittata with spinach, sausage, French toast sticks, and then a bunch of fruits, cereal, oatmeal, etc.

PXL_20250604_133323211.jpg

By the time I wrapped up with my second breakfast it was close to 10, and my mom was supposed to be landing around 11, so I figured I’d just hang out in the lounge and wait for her to arrive.

I went up a few times for more food and juice while I waited, and just enjoyed the view over the lobby. I also explored the lounge area a bit, and of course said hello to the friendly bear.

PXL_20250604_144204690.jpg

Sadly, this area of the lounge was blocked off for most of the trip, it was only open this morning, but was closed off for painting by the time my mom arrived and didn’t open again until our last day! This took away a lot of the seating in the lounge, which was a bit of a pain since we felt we had to get to the food service early just to snag a table. Usually by a few minutes after the food service started there were a handful of people with food but nowhere to actually sit.

While waiting I also notice the characters were meeting down below, and I saw something that shocked me….Goofy’s hat is removable! WHAT! I had no idea he could take it off!

It turns out it was a pretty long wait for my mom, in retrospect I probably should have taken a quick trip over to MK to pass the time. Oh well, I ended up spending most of the time in one of the comfy lounge chairs right by the club desk and I was surprised while sitting there the number of people checking in that morning, there were seven other families that checked in while I was there! Considering there are only like 22 club rooms, that’s a large percentage checking in that day! Who knew Wednesday was such a popular day to check-in! I also had to laugh that like half of them were celebrating their birthday just like me! We should have organized a big birthday picture!
