I beat a lot of odds. On May 4th Christopher Michael entered the world. He's perfect. Now I have one attending prom this weekend, one entering HS in Sept. and a newborn. Talk about blessed.

You are blessed. Congratulations. I had my 3rd(and my last)baby 11 days before I turned 40. Before I had her, I had 4 miscarriages in a row, and I was considered Advanced Maternal age, old eggs.. more chances of miscarriages, yada yada yada
I felt like I also beat the odds..
It is a great feeling , isnt it?
My youngest will be 2 in August, and she is such a blessing. Dont get me wrong, I love all my kids. It just seems there was so much more physical and emotional work into getting her.
We named her "Faith"...it seemed to fit

Enjoy your precious newborn, because truley this is what life is meant to be.

I am a first time mother at age 40 and I share your feelings of "I am so very lucky and blessed." We had been trying for over 5 years before our little one was born -- it was heartbreaking. But we, too, "beat the odds." It is a truly magical feeling, isn't it?

DS6 was my 40th bday surprise (not the same day, but a few weeks later!)

I had one entering high school and one in 5th grade at the time! Soon we were potty training and prepping for the SAT! LOL! Now I have one in college, one in high school and one starting 1st grade! Whew! They do keep you young!
